FFX-2 YRP: Who's your favorite?

Rikku. Her bubbly and quirky nature is intoxicating, but her intelligence and compassion are also wonderfully attractive. I am also not ashamed to admit that the fact that being cute plays a role as a well. She has the ideal body in my opinion.
 
Rikku, Because she is fckin cute.
I mean.. I'd say shit about game play, but each of the girls is pretty much the same, due to the dress sphere bullshat.

So. Rikku. Because she is cute.

Rikku > Yuna > Paine

I think Yuna's development in FFX showed signs of her growing into a stronger woman, because she was pretty damn pathetic at times in FFX, so I think she would have been much better off being a little more serious and mature in this game, but the game itself was fairly light-hearted.

There's not a whole lot to say about Paine. She was fairly interesting, but I don't think I had the same level of kinship with her than I do with Rikku/Yuna.
 
I picked Rikku mainly because she's kept her excessively upbeat nature through from 10 -> 10-2. She was cute in a slightly annoying manner but she was still one of my favourites. She keeps Yuna going because there are times when we sometimes see Yuna going back to her old needyish self, but Rikku will keep her spirits up.
 
I loved Yuna the most, it was a bit shocking at first seeing her evolve since the original High Summoner she was at the end of X but it was also great seeing how carefree and happy she was. To see her have a freedom she neverthought she'd have. Living her life her way, even if she's still holding on to her past. She's grown a bit out of her shell, probably mainly to do with Rikku's influence, but its good to see a character actually evolve wth the story. I still prefer her Final Fantasy X self as her 'Rikkuesque' personality does annoy me, however not as much as Rikku herself does. Don't get me wrong, I love Rikku but I always just sit there going "wtf?" when she talks. She went from a young strong girl who admired women like Lulu and hoped to be like her into a hyeractive teen. I just can't make sense of why they'd change her so. I still love her though. lol
 
I'm going to agree with everyone else and say Rikku because I absolutely loved her character. She was so cheerful. Her comments throughout the game were hilarious and always made me laugh. I also kinda liked Paine in this series b/c although she was stoic most of the game she was a very compeling character imo.

Paine: How about Kick. Its. Ass.

I liked Paine that best. For some odd reason, it seemed like Yuna and Rikku completely changed in X-2 to me. Maybe it's just me, I dunno. I liked them in X but not X-2. Plus, Paine is badass. ;D
 
Rikku. Although there has been some change from the Rikku in X to the one in X-2, I think she oozed a lot more appeal in X-2 than in X. To me, YRP seemed to me an attempt at sexiness. If so, Rikku won in this aspect.

Yuna wasn't all that bad herself, except I preferred her previous personality too much to make an unbiased judgment.

.. And Paine? I hate her hairstyle :P A dumb reason, but enough to put Rikku at the top.
 
I <3 Rikku so my vote goes for Rikku. I didn't like her as much in X-2 as I did in X but she still brightened up the story for me. Rikku kind of reminds me of myself... Ditzy, cheerful... Yeah.
 
I didn't like Paine because she was a bit too moody for me. AND it seemed like she was trying too hard to be a badass...

It was between Rikku and Yuna and so I chose Rikku just because she's a fun character to use and to watch :awesome:
 
Paine. Because of the process of elimination.

1) Yuna- her transistion from X to X-2 is shockingly awful. Once a quiet, understanding, determined, kind summoner has become a woman who enjoys being dressed up in something that Lady GaGa would splash out on to wear, is made to sing and copies catchphrases from Rikku like "poopy" or "disasterrific". Before anyone says that Yuna is basically learning new cultures, it is still not really her FFX character. For all I know, this Yuna is an imposter.

2) Rikku- her appearance in X was tolerable at least. She was a more serious 15 year old girl then who was able to become emotional and has a close relationship with her father and brother. In X-2, she seems to have abandoned her morals. She treats her brother and pops like trash sometimes. She uses annoying catchphrases in battle like: "I'M GONNA WHACK YOU GOOD!" and "SNAKES, SNAKES, SNAAAKKEES!!" Seriously, is this Metal Gear Solid or something?! Plus, that bikini she wears!!!!! It was meant to attract (presumably) single and horny teenage boys. As a girl, I am sometimes annoyed by the stereotypical image of girls in video games.

Paine is left. She is moody yes, but she is serious. She wants to get whatever she wants done, but Yuna and Rikku are always hindering her. She looks like the most able fighter. I would feel safer with Paine as a bodyguard than Yuna or Rikku. Yuna's mousetail hair would just be pulled. Rikku could just be obscenely assaulted.

NOW.... what if YRP were a girlband??!
 
Woah. I had expected Yuna to have the higher votes. I'm surprised Paine is ABOVE Yuna.


Paine is definitely my favourite. Even though I'm not into FFX or FFX-2 at all, Paine's character is something that caught my attention. She has a cold attitude, but I think deep down, she's actually really caring. I like the caring characters. =] So she had that down from the start.

I also like how she isn't afraid to say what she thinks. x] Big mouth. Beside her awesome outfit she's just simply awesome.

Rikku's too squee-ly for me. Jumps too much. :gasp: And needs more decent clothes. She reminds me of a typical Calafornian beach girl. =/ No offense...

And Yuna... She's just too... Idk... =/ There's something about her that sets me off... She has a reason to be depressed, but I think she's a bit over caring, which comes over mushy... =/

She was strong, funny, cool and adventurous! She was so fun to play :P

I voted for Paine. Yuna comes in a close second, but while I enjoy the personality change as well as the job change, she just doesn't do it for me. Paine's cynical coolness was a welcome contrast to Rikku and Yuna's constant chipperiness.

Rikku...I'll get into it later, but allow me to say that Rikku had the worst personality change in X-2, and I'd mute her every time she came on the screen. So Paine it is. :)
 
I would have to say, it was a hard descision for me to make, but I had a near tie with Paine and Yunie. Paine's the kind of mysterious, and different character. I kind of like that about a character. And then there's Yuna. She's... well.. she's Yuna. I suppose I'm kind of biased being a Yunie fanboy, but I almost voted with Paine over her. Rikku's part was cute, but I decided to side with Yunie in the end. :)
 
I voted for Rikku.

She was my favorite in FFX. I didn't find her annoying at all, it was nice to have someone cheerful. Her lack of clothing didn't bother me, if I were digging in a desert I'd be half naked most of the time as well. I think she's extremely adorable and I loved how she looked in most of the Dresspheres.

Yuna was decent in X. I'm not her biggest fan because I typically like loud, noisy and slightly immature characters. I felt awkward watching her in X-2. She's almost like the embarrassing drunk family member at a party that starts singing and acting like a thirteen year old. I get that she saved the world and wants to do things differently, but they could've made it seem a bit more realistic, in my opinion.

I didn't really have an opinion on Paine until playing the game for awhile. I think she balances the other two girls out, but it almost feels like she's a babysitter. I'd hate to think of what Rikku would talk Yuna into doing if Paine weren't around. Her backstory with Gippal, Nooj and Baralai was interesting as well.
 
Paine didn't really seem to fit in-to me, at least. She was interesting though.
Rikku was really funny-she made the game all bright and happy and fun looking x3 Ohkay so maybe not entirely >.> But she made the game a lot more enjoyable with her cheerful attitude.
Yuna, in FFX, was definitely my favourite. I didn't like the way she turned out in X-2, though. She had a complete personality change >.< It was necessary, I know, but she was too different from the Yuna I'd grown to love xP Sweet, innocent, Summoner Yuna xD
Her outfit was pretty cute though xDD

Paine was my favorite. I'm so tired of seeing upbeat and happy and peppy girls get all the attention in Japanese entertainment. It gets rather annoying....Paine was also, in my opinion, the most beautiful. I loved the way her hair and eyes went together. AND her outfits were decent. I hated to put Rikku and Yuna in some Dress Spheres because they looked trashy! Paine always looked cute and classy in hers. And with Rikku and Yuna being "OMG! SPHERES!~ LOL! GULLWINGS!" all the time, it was nice to have someone mellow and calm there to soothe my brain. xD

Same with me, I choose Paine. If it wasn't for her, I wouldn't be posting this right now since I would have killed myself. I'm guessing by shoving some YRP memorabilia into my ear.

But seriously, Yuna was still just as wishy washy as she was in the original, she just had +2 in spunk. I hated Rikku in FFX, she was excessively annoying and happy. Yuna's going off to die but 'Yay, party time!' And that Yunie crap. Shut. Up. I was hoping Lulu would just...eat her.

Amazingly Rikku got even MORE annoying in X-2. I didn't think it was possible but...yeah. Granted, it helped to add to the more light hearted mood of the game, but I never liked her in the first place. At least Paine was sarcastic and was a character who was...remotely interesting?

One off topic thing, it always amazed me how incredibly rude people were to Yuna in the game. I mean, she's a mark down from a god. She's the savior of the world, saving every living person from the terror of Sin forever. They should be worshiping Yuna that they even get to live another day. Well, maybe not worshiping, but close enough. Like that soldier guy on Besaid Island you had to talk to, to play that gunslinger mini game. I wanted to punch him in the face every time he spoke. UGH.
 
I say Paine,
She was different to the characters in the sense that she had an attitude. I thought that was brilliant.
She was mysterious and sometimes rather cold. Which appealed to me somehow.

Her starting outfit (Warrior) Looked amazing, I tried to use it as often as I could just because it looked cool.

But I agree with what has been said, Yuna would be at the botom of my list, she's irratating.

So Paine wins!
