I think that Haley Joel Osment would fit Zidane well. ^_^

In case you don't know who that is, it's the guy who did Sora's voiceover. Now that I think about it, maybe not something so soft, but a little harder. His figure in dissidia is a real

Kuja was often sarcastic -- and it's hard for me to place sarcasm on top of that crazy-manly voice in the Dissidia trailer. I also thought Kuja would be a little softer-spoken. A voice to match the outfit?
 
Now that you mention it, I pictured Kuja with a different voice as well. I do think it should be an intimidating voice, but more on the direction of "cold and manic" rather than just a deep generically evil voice.
 
did you guys have in mind a voice of the characters when reading their dialogues? when I play I used to think Zidane would sound somewhat like Tidus but in a naughty and wittier tone and then Kuja exactly like James of Team Rocket but in a serious manner.
 
I agree, Zidane sounded really young which is surprising since the Japanese voice-overs usually tend to beat the pants off the English ones. Kuja sounded alright though, as said before, I kinda pictured a softer spoken voice-over as well.

He's only meant to be 16/17 as I recall, so it's not entirely out of character.

well that's your opinion. but we can't really say how good japanese voice actors are if we don't speak their language. personally I find them cool coz they sound lively even though I don't understand what they're saying. though I think you could be right that it seems they sometimes exaggerate the way they talk. as for the english voices it really depends on the actors. some aren't really doing well but if you hear the best ones they're really impressive!

I agree, the japanese voice actors seem to put way more emphasis and energy on what they are saying, Im not disrespecting english voice actors but in KH2 half the voices seemed kinda blah, especially with the FF characters... like they walked in, did one take, and walked out with their check... >.>

I mean if I wanted to listen to a flat emotionless monotone voice, Id watch Ben Stein... >_<

He is only a 16 year old boy after all. Maybe he isn't done going through puberty. XD

I can see him with a girlish voice though...after all...he's very young. Not quite a man. =D
 
My voice broke while I was around 13/14 ... so ... yeah ... he should at least have a semi-deep voice. He's not a squeely girl pre-pubescent >_<

If they give him Naruto's voice in the English version, I will not buy the game. Simple as that.

The voice of Naruto sounds a bit too high and squeaky though, I'll say.

Well Zidane DID sound young, and I was slightly thrown off by that.
But Kuja's laugh, they NAILED it.
