I have a little rule where I'll watch 5 episodes of a tv show before I judge it, because they usually take about 5 episodes to really pull you in. The Vampire Diaries is really great though, don't listen to your friend haha.
I saw your VM to Lew when I posted one on his page and saw that you were interested in watching the Vampire Diaries.
You have to watch it. It's amazing. It starts out a bit lame and the lameness lasts about 5 episodes but once you get past that it gets really, really good. It's kind of like a cross between true blood and twilight I guess. It has the romance of twilight (but done waaaaay better) and the gore and stuff of True blood (without it being porno-ish)
I highly recommend it. Don't even pay attention to people who say it's shit, they're just judging it because it's Vampires and it's cool to hate vampires because they've become popular lately. (I dont even like vampires haha)
Its people changing theyre username all the friggin time. The chocobos you could buy for a limited time gave you 2 free username changes. You havent been that active lately either unless youv been lurking when ive not been around so it musta been a nightmare to keep note of who everyone is. Especially as wev had quite a few new members join and interact lately aswell.
And aaaaaaaaaaaalsoooooo well done on keeping up with that candy cane thread. I barely have a clue who anyone is nowadays due to name changes. Good to see you around the forum again :dave:
Call of Duty games being a great example. The people who do tend to hate them dont play the games and they say the same thing its same fucking game with new maps and different guns. But if all thought that it wouldnt sell 100s of millions of copies. So im very sorry your favourite RPG from japan lost out in a game of the year to CoD but if you take that serious you need to look at your life. On the flip side of the coin Call of duty fans are the saddest craziest people ive ever seen. Its a game filled with children around the age of 12-6 and theyre immature as you can be. Ive even had people my age send me rage msgs because theyve lost. I cannot stand the call of duty community of players because of these people yet i still enjoy the games. Just enjoy what you enjoy and if you dont like something...well dont watch it. Its not that hard to undeerstand. Im glad theres someone like you who knows what i mean haha had to split this in 2 because the VM was so long
I was reading your rep post to me which in turn led me to read your post about uhm fans putting you off stuff. And i understand what you mean. Though the whole fan crazyness seems to only spawn on the internet. My auntie is 60 years old (looks in her late 30s no kidding) And she loves twilight. She read all the books before the movies came out and she loved all the movies. Her and my little sister would watch it whever they were together. They were big fans. And one day they were all round at my house and one of my sisters friends was like you like twilight??? And she did that whole rant about people watcihing twilight and how eveyrone is obsessed etc. Ofc she did it in a polite way and shes only a 15 year old girl like my sister i know what its like being 15, your trying to fit in somewhere but my auntie just laughed and said i think its fantastic.
People like to band together to hate on things purely because its popular. I think theres a big jealousy factor somewhere or theyre trying to be cool by hating on something that everyone else likes, just to be different. I think thats what being a hipster is though im not really sure what that word means.
i remember i took out 2 wisdom tooths and 3 extra crowded tooths and i was in swollen mode and had little pain but it really annoyed me, i hope you get well soon and just drinking lots of water and have soups and soft food and also try putting a hot water bottle on your cheeks.
What have you bought?! I read about Tangled on Blu-Ray!
I've been treating myself to a few things recently too. I hadn't bought any DVDs in AGES, so have purchased roughly 10 in the past month. My most recent purchase was 'Puss in Boots,' which I'll probably watch tomorrow. I hope it's good...
I really want to see Paul! It's not too expensive at the moment here so if you say it's good, I might pick it up. So many films were out last year in the cinema that I didn't get to see!
Tell me about your ride with Steve! How long did you cycle for? What's the bike like? Describe the areas you travel through! xx
I'm good too thanks! What did you do whilst you were on holiday?! I've recently been on a skiing holiday, which was fab, but am back at work. I still manage to cycle/walk every day though in the mornings before lunch. It's been nice and sunny! It seems I caught the active bug whilst skiing; now I want to visit places by cycling/walking every day!
I've also seen quite a few movies recently. Have you ever seen 'What's Eating Gilbert Grape?' or 'The Aviator'? Can't wait 'til Titanic 3D!
I've been better than average, which is fine by me. Soccer season started back up, so there's that. Been to the bars pretty much every Friday, being a typical fella.
And as usual typical work has me pretty much focused on it. You going any where for Holidays?
I think this Spring we are going to try for the beaches for a week.
