Thanks for the rep, and I understand your concern about debating these people. The only reason I continue doing it is because I hate to see people who read the debate and don't understand what's wrong with the arguments. Which is why I feel the need to make rebuttals. I'm hoping to be able to help other people who are "sitting on the fence", as it is, to see what a fallacious argument looks like, and why it's fallacious.
I know I hate it when some people mouth off like they've proved what's puzzled genuises the world over for hundreds of years. I was thinking of jumping into the creationism thread but I felt it was too far along from the base topic so I just left it I'll be interested to see what you think about it though.
The understanding of something is also quite interesting, it's practically what I was alluding to in that thread all that time back but you've said it far more eloquently than I did I guess we could do a mark 2
I'll try and think of something, one of the reasons I haven't really put those kinda threads out there is because of the lack of interest/understanding in em. :wacky:
I did stay, but for the life of me I can't remember what was at the end. I just remember something about The Avengers
Hands down, the best for me. Even better than Iron Man. Leagues away from Iron Man 2. THAT FIGHT SCENE GAVE ME CHILLS. THE MONSTER. Great ending as well. Great cast, solid plot, fantastic effects. Can't say anything bad about it tbh
stephen king based the character on eastwood's man with no name from the spaghetti westerns, so it makes sense that he should play him really. javier bardem is the next best thing though.
i thought song of susannah was probably the worst of the lot, it basically just sets up the seventh book.
if only clint eastwood was about 40 years younger, he'd be perfect for roland.
ohh i thought you'd read the whole thing. it seriously only gets better after drawing of the three. wolves of the calla is incredible.
i just don't want ron howard to direct it, i don't think a man like that can do it. peter jackson would be pretty much ideal.
