PS downloads v pixelated - help?

I thought that - perhaps reducing the resolution to 720p, or utilizing a SCART cable to provide a softer focus. Anyway, now I'd rather like to play the damn thing (if my sister ever lets me have a go)! Thanks for your help.

PS downloads v pixelated - help?

Oh no! That's not good. I'll try fiddling with the resolution a bit. There must be something I can do - I'm convinced I've seen downloads on Youtube that are graphically superior to the originals... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xFryNsyLNqM&feature=related

PS downloads v pixelated - help?

Whether to buy a cheap PS2 or a new PS3 (for playing FFIX)

Ah! I wasn't aware there was such a thing as a backwards compatible PS3. I'll have to ask about it at a games shop I suppose. Thanks for your advice:)

Whether to buy a cheap PS2 or a new PS3 (for playing FFIX)

I've decided I want to play Final Fantasy IX for the first time in the summer. I can't decide whether to fork out £200+ for a PS3 and hope it will be available from the PSN, or to simply buy a PS2 for £60-120 and get FFIX for around £30 from Amazon. Obviously a PS3 would be a better long-term...

    First Final Fantasy game?

The first one I played was Final Fantasy VII when I was around age 7-8, and I last played Final Fantasy XII. I'm quite keen to play through IX in fact, but I don't own any consoles at the moment. I think that may have to wait till the summer, at which point I will perhaps shell out for a PS3.
