Achievement of the day

My achievement of the day was getting this car insurance claim sorted from last October.

I feel so bad that we waited this long to sort it out, but at least it's over and done with now and we only have a small excess to pay.

Glad we have one problem out of the way. :gasp:

My gosh I have another major achievement that I simply must share! XD

Today our friend came over and I had just found out that the council was doing a huge rubbish pick up for things like old chairs, boxes, furniture etc. Something a regular garbage truck wouldn't be able to take.

So I was all like: :gasp:

Running around like a headless chicken trying to rid the house of crap that I couldn't just dump in a normal bin.

Our mate helped us out SO MUCH! He helped clean out the shed, helped Steve put up his new car cover tent thing and it was just something that couldn't have been done without him.

Then I even mowed the lawn for the first time in my life!

My hands hurt and I do have a few blisters...but I loved it. XD I loved making the front lawn all neat and tidy. <3

I am so tired now though from all that work. >.<

OH OH! We got the PS3 online set up tonight! Our friend helped us out with that too. <3

I woke up this morning....I consider this a great achievement for the day
oops thought it said post count dissabled time for new glasses...
[Mod Edit: Can you please try to put a little more effort into your posts in post count sections thanks. This post is just a little spammish looking for a post count section. Thanks. =)]

Well I got a few bills paid off and I actually got a lot of work done at work which really made up for last week. I didn't really get anything done and I told the manager that I didn't really feel like I had achieved much. =/

Oh and after nearly a week of not doing any housework I finally managed to force myself to do it tonight after my nap.

I usually have no problem doing it. It's never really a drama. But this week I was just not in the mood. >.<

I've managed to get my account up and running again on Amazon after long months of neglect. I've ordered a couple of novels as well as an English History context book on the early Stuart period. I was pretty much yelled at to buy it. Better oblige I guess. xD

Despite the jet lag effect, I've managed to sit through a perfectly normal day at college without falling asleep during any of my lessons. Furthermore a friend of mine drew my attention to the fact that one of the books I own has been made into a film. Therefore I've started re-reading The Ghost and trying to remember what it's all about. I'm at half-way point, and I've no real interest in seeing the film actually.

I don't know if this counts but, surprisingly i didn't lose it when i went to see people i didn't want to see today. Pretty much everyone in the family loses it when they reach a certain point and just blow up on whoever angered them.

Though, i'm not sure if i should keep this up to be honest. Keeping such strong emotions such as anger inside for too long does have reprecussions.=/

I did a major clean up of the whole house today starting from 7am this morning.

I was meant to be off work sick today but I can't just sit around and relax when I know things need to be done.

I can't just sit and watch a movie or whatever when I know that in the next room the dishes are waiting to be washed or the clothes need to be hung etc.

I did all the basics and then I even went ahead and White Kinged the shower tiles and the bathroom sink. >.<

I hate the bleach smell after. It like stays in your nose for ages. Even though it says it's meant to have a lemon smell I can only smell bleach. >.<

I even went through more of my crap I hadn't gone through since we moved last year and I found stuff I'd bought last year and not ever opened. Things like a new pack of hairties and a new row of sewing needles etc.

But yes this was my achievement of the day. Scrubbing the house from top to bottom!

I finally got rid of the carpet I threw in my back garden about 2 years ago >_< Well, I use the term rid loosley, I hacked some of it up with scissors and black bagged it, that'll fit in the wheelie bin ...I think, it's already full to the top though. I made sure i got decent bin liners as well xD

the big peice which i managed to fold over and tie up is probably too big for the bin, i had to use 3 liners on that one, its all sealed and compact at least now

Im so glad its finally done, the garden is now finally fucking clear. There werent half some creepy crawlies knocking about, and loads of mud, that carpetws been there yonks

And the guy came today to look at my garden in general and is gunna sort out getting it sorted. Its been pretty much (well, completey) inhabitable since I moved in, theres trees and broken brickwork, random chimneys......NO FENCE

So yeah, Im fiiiiiiiinally getting it sorted :andry:

I'm well proud of myself for sorting that carpet out myself as well. Who needs a man :mokken:

Hey that's fine. You've posted something new to add to the thread. =)

If you posted again after your last post only minutes apart then we would ask you to edit your last post. But this is a day later and you have something different to add to the topic so it's fine. =)

Today I finally got out the gym equipment and started to exercise my butt off whilst watching Mean Girls. =)

I feel really happy with myself for making the effort and usually that first effort gets me going for the rest of the week and I continue exercising.

I'm not sure what stopped me last time. Probably stress or something, but I intend to keep going with it this time around.

I really want some nice tight abs. <3

Some teacher I have never seen before in my life grabbed me into a classroom just as I was passing by and said he was looking for me. Before I was totally startled, he said I was needed for a short interview clip for my college's website.

I had to explain what I was studying and what I enjoy about one particular subject. He didn't even give me time to think of what to say. I survived the interview by just making crap up as I went along. I hope I looked okay in that. If 15-16 year olds are to watch the website promotional video, I had to at least look alright.

Next time, I'm going to avoid that particular corridor. xD

^ That was two days ago, I guess it wouldn't really count as an offending double post.

Well, the college is looking for new student councillors to represent each department. I'm applying to be the councillor for the English department. The department has strongly recommended that I apply - so I thought I'd do it. I know I have a scary interview process ahead - then the actual election. I feel like I'm running to be an MP or something.

I've filled in the forms. They ask you like a hundred questions mainly about yourself, your achievements, why you think you qualify to be a councillor, what qualities you have over others etc. It took me all of my lunch hour to fill all that in. At least it's done and I've handed it in.

I finally recieved my PS3 memory card converter so l can play all my old games on the PS3
without having to start new, l also got a PS3 controler converter that makes your ps2 controllers work onyour PS3......thats really a mute point considering i have 2 ps3 controller anyway.....?

My achievement of the day was setting up my new book shelf! Well it was Steve's and he set it up for me to use. <3

All my books are now out of their bags and sitting pretty on the nice new shelves. <3

It makes the room so much bigger having all those bags off the floor too!

Also started my Sweet Valley Book collection from ebay!

The old desktop PC reached its last legs a few days ago so we thought that we may as well get a new one. The PC in the house was normally used by my parents and they weren't too happy that they didn't back up a few important documents in the old PC before it died.

So while the new one is on its way, I was giving a hand in getting rid of the thing as well as all the unnecessary wires out from the study. That's more or less my achievement. The monitor is still there - I think it's still working. Now the study just looks relatively tidier without all the wires on the floor at the back.
