Alternate Roads RP

As Yuna Stepped out of Stephen's arms she looked at him and came out with "yes, I'm alright." This put a smile on Stephen's face as he turned to face the others "well summoner Yuna, we should get going and let the people of Besaid know that you have become a Summoner" Stephen announced as he spun and strode towards the Exit, he stood on the lift and waited for everyone to get on the lift "Last one on hits the button" he announced.

-= Macalania Temple =-

After resting a day journey, Davius got up and started walking into the temple. As he could see, the temple was indeed a stuck in one place alone. The ice surrounding the grounds of the temple were the very foundations of the temple. The cave was cold but, nevertheless Davius had to push over. As he walked he could see the temple priest nearing him.

Macalania Priest: Good day. How may i serve you?

Davius: Did a young summoner girl, passed this way? A bit short, maybe with a few guardians?

Macalania Priest: No, not that i recall. Who may you be referring to?

Davius was not in the mood for chit-chat and so, he began walking towards the exit of the Temple and the Cave.

-= Inn near the Lake =-

As he entered the Inn, he looked to a bunch of books and started reading them. Al Bhed was one of the many languages he had been taugh by his deceased parents.

He exited the inn and began thinking. If the Summoner hasn't got here yet, maybe i'll get to her.

Davius began walking towards Kilika, unsure if he would meet her there.

Yuna got back on her feet and started walking towards the lift. Yuna did agree with Stephen. If she could show to the people that she was a summoner, she could help the people put a smile on people's faces. She was the second person to stand on the lift, waiting for everyone to head there too.

Sera's drowsiness made her less conscious of what Yuna and Stephen had just spoke to each other, but still, it wasn't bad enough to blind her.

Seeing the two get back on the lift, Sera walked over to the lift clumsily, grabbing her weapon along. Rubbing her eyes, she tried to wake herself up. It worked, but she concluded that she didn't sleep very well after all.

After everyone made their way on the lift, Yuna pushed the button causing the lift to move back up to the cloister, from there, retraced her steps until she made back into the inner temple where she was greeted by the people of Besaid Village. She eagerly waited for her guardians to come out, as they too should enjoy the company of others.

as the elevator reached the Cloister levels Stephen smiled. he watched Yuna stride off and head for the inner temple. he stood for a moment, thinking about everything he had been through, and how he was about to take on the world, everyone would believe that Stephen, a summoner, would brave the fiends and challenges up ahead for the sake of Spira, but he was really doing it so he could spend more time with Yuna.

Stephen then strode out of the cloister and into the inner temple, he ran his right hand through his hair and then headed down the stairs, as he reached the bottom he extended his arms and blocked off a crowd of people heading towards the stairs "Back up" he shouted "Lady Yuna requires rest from her eavning' praying, she shall not be speaking with all of you until later on today" he added in a firm voice, making the people walk away complaining under their breaths.

Stephen looked over his shoulder at yuna and smiled "You might want to go and see Wakka and Lu, they will want to know the good news"

"You're right, Stephen." Yuna said, smiling. Walking through the crowd. She said, "good night!" Before heading off to Wakka and Lulu at their house. She spent the rest of the day talking with Wakka and Lulu, recieving their advice before Wakka finally saying, "I know you'll make a fine Summoner, ya?" Yuna responded, "Yes." Lulu said, "It will be a tough journey, but I hope you will defeaqt Sin in the end." Yuna realized that becoming a summoner meant having to confront and defeat Sin, via the Final Aeon. She would agree, since all she wanted to do was to make people smile again.

Vesper had seen Lady Yuna leave the temple and had followed her to a house in town and simply waited outside with scythe over his back. Vesper was going to approach her as soon as she left this house and ask what he had been waiting. There was still so many unanswered questions spinning in Vespers head and the only way he could figure getting an answer was to follow them by following Sin. Vesper waited with endless patience outside the house, the moment she emerged Vesper would approach and nothing would stand in his way of atleast being able to talk to her.

(OOC: Is it really alright to skip past some characters, like Teddie's character, Roland. He hasn't posted to be in the lift after all. And hasn't posted in this thread for a while too, admittedly.)

It was great to finally be out of the temple. Sera stretched her arms as she walked on to Wakka's and Lulu's place. She had wanted to accompany Yuna, at least, for the night, since there will be some celebration with the people later on.

Walking closer to the place, she couldn't help noticing the man she had seen earlier. Who could he be? Placing her hands over her weapon behind her, she edged closer to this man. "Hold still. Who are you?" Sera asked, keeping a good distance between them two as she asked.

Vesper raised an eyebrow as he heard the girl he had seen just inside the trails speak to him. Vesper shock his head silently, this would complicate things somewhat. Vesper pushed himself up right and let his hands hang at his side and his muscles relax, if she tried something he was now ready to counter her attack faster than she could blink. From this stance Vesper looked her cleanly in the eye and spoke.

"My name is Vesper and I have to talk with Lady Yuna, as I saw you in the trail before I'm guessing you are one of her guardians so I kindly ask you to stand down as I am friendly and do not wish to cause harm. Although if the need arises I will defend myself so I suggest you move your hand away from your weapon and stand down yourself", Vesper said in a casual tone that shows his calmness over the situation, Vesper figure one of three things could happen, she would become aggressive and Vesper would respond in self defence, two she would be friendly and help him or three the summoner would walk out and stop anything from happening. Vesper looked at the girl in the eyes cleanly, she appeared cute but her eyes told a story of intelligence that Vesper couldn't denine, he knew she had been through more than her fair share of trouble like he had.

Raising an eyebrow, she scrutinized the man cautiously. Apparently, he actually let his hands down beside him and relaxed his muscles. All these were noticed by Sera's sharp eyes, and it puzzled her. Perhaps it was his battle stance? Sera didn't know.

"My name is Vesper and I have to talk with Lady Yuna, as I saw you in the trail before I'm guessing you are one of her guardians so I kindly ask you to stand down as I am friendly and do not wish to cause harm. Although if the need arises I will defend myself so I suggest you move your hand away from your weapon and stand down yourself" He then said to her.

'Defend himself? Now that means it's a battle stance...' Sera thought to herself.

Yet a battle here would not be any good, still, what business could he have with Lady Yuna? Carefully watching Vesper, she sidestepped over to block him from the house. Her hands stayed on her weapon all this time.

Despite knowing a battle wouldn't be good, since she wasn't very good against non-elemental based enemies-and more so for a seemingly melee based combatant, she understood the possibility of Vesper deciding to take an aggressive strategy in handling the current situation at hand.

Then, relaxing slightly, she spoke, her voice loaded with carefully picked words,

"You are named Vesper? Greetings. I am Sera Leslie, one of the Guardians of Lady Yuna. You tell me to stand down, but I shall not, for I do not know your true reason for being here. So, please understand, at least, until Lady Yuna comes out and decides to speak to you."

Ariana waited at the port, a small smile on her face.
So, the apprentice had become the summoner. How fascinating. On the same boat as a second generation summoner.
Things could get interesting.
So she waited for the party to come.

~::Location - Thunder Plans::~ [Time: Before Yuna entered the Chamber of the Fayth]

Lightning crashed around the many spires that had been built to attract the electrical surges, causing a small tut to come from Adelaida's mouth. She wasn't afraid of the Thunder Plains, for she had often wandered here and had several close shaves with the local thunderbolts as a child, she just hated that the rods built in order to protect travelers were ... well, clearly not doing a very good job. Ade was not in the mood to loiter and come hell or high water, she was going to get to Kilika as soon as possible.

The female monk took a few cautionary steps forward, took a deep sigh when she was not struck down on the spot, tightened her gloves and set off at a sprint.

~::Location - Guadosalam::~ [Time: Before Yuna entered the Chamber of the Fayth]

The sight of Guadosalam could not have been more welcoming to the woman as she panted, leaning her hand against the entrance tunnel wall and bending to take several deep breaths. She was a fit, agile young woman, but dodging thunderbolts had never been on her list of things to train for. Dismissively waving off a young woman who came bustling over to her, her tone worried as she inquired as to how Adelaida was. The woman walked away, muttering something about the stubborness of some people, causing Sajin to shake her head as she straightened up.

As much as she would have liked to have stayed here for the night, she simply didn't have time. She'd have time to sleep on the boat ride... right? If she even made it to Luca in time.

Adelaida wandered towards the exit on jogged down the route to the Moonflow.

~::Location: Moonflow::~ [Time: Before Yuna entered the Chamber of the Fayth]

"Ride ze Shoopuf?"

Adelaida stopped dead and stared at the tiny little blue... alien thing now peering expectantly up at her with its large eyes. It waved a webbed hand towards a giant... thing that stood patiently waiting on the bank of the Moonflow.

"Is this the only way over?" Sajin queried, eyeing the massive beast apprehensively.

"Yesh"

"... Urgh. Fine."

"All aboardsss!"

------

Adelaida wobbled as she hit the ground on the opposite side of the Moonflow, legs suddenly very jelly-like. Waving her hands to try and regain her balance, Ade bruised her backside (and pride) as she landed with a dull thump on the hard ground, an 'oomph' bursting past her lips. Staggering to her feet, Ade made a mental note. She did NOT like Shoopuf rides.

~:: Location - Djose Highroad::~ [Time: As Yuna entered the Chamber?]

At the sight of the Djose Highroad (at least that is what she assumed it to be, never having come this far from home), Adelaida's heart soared. It wouldn't be long before she would be on the boat to Kilika and be able to get some sleep. If anything, Sajin wanted to see this town for herself. "A town built in the sea, how the very thought is absurd," she mumbled, jogging onto the road and dodging several other travelers who looked at her as though she was going insane. "Guess that's what I get for talking to myself," she muttered on, increasing her speed as she made her way towards the Mi'ihen Highroad; her final stop before Luca.

~::Location - Mi'ihen Highroad::~ [Time: Yuna in the Chamber]

"Would you like to hire a chocobo?"

Those words were like nectar to the now weary monk who turned her head to the girl gratefully and sighed.

"That would be fantastic."

"Miss... are you ok?"

"I'm exhausted. How fast can a chocobo get me to Luca?"

"Much faster than your own two feet, let me assure you. Here," the girl brought a large yellow bird forward and handed the reins to Adelaida. "He will take you straight to Luca. Don't worry about the fee. Get to Luca and take some much needed rested."

Adelaida wasn't quite sure what to say to the woman. She was insistant as she literally pushed the monk onto the bird, patted it on its large, strong neck and peered up at her. "Are you a Guardian?"

Adelaida flushed at that. "No..."

"Shame, you look like you would make a good one. Good luck on your journey."

Before Sajin could retort, the giant yellow chocobo took off at a dash, an almighty kweeee announcing their departure.

~::Location - Luca::~ [Time: Yuna in the Chamber]

"Thank you, miss. Hope you had a good journey," the young woman said as she took the reins of the chocobo and led it off to the side.

"Yes, thank you. And very fast too."

"I am glad it was satisfactory."

Adelaida bowed to the girl in prayer before taking the steps to Luca three at a time. Within minutes the girl was charging up the docks, frantically searching for the boat that left for Kilika, almost certain that she had missed it.

"Excuse me, I'm looking for the boat to Kilika?"

"Right there," the passer by replied, pointing at the dock directly behind Adelaida. Again she bowed, before rushing up towards the boat.

"Am I too late?"

"Miss Sajin?"

"How do you know my name?"

"Your father asked to make sure you got a place on the boat today."

"Oh he did, did he?" Adelaida asked suspiciously, even though inwardly she was jumping for joy.

"Please, come aboard."

Adelaida threw herself onto the boat and made for the rooms. A kind young woman showed her to her room and the beyond exhausted monk flopped onto the bed and slept the entire boatride away.

~::Location - Kilika::~ [Time: The Next Day]

"Miss, we have arrived at Kilika, prepare to alight."

Ade roused from her deep sleep and rubbed her honey coloured eyes. It felt as though she had been asleep for barely an hour and yet they had already landed in Kilika. Shrugging off sleep, yawning loudly, the monk slipped on her gloves and made for the exit to the room.

A few moments later, her feet hit the wooden street of Kilika and her face lit up. She had always thought it would be magical, but this was something else. Staring around, Ade grinned. She felt like a child with a new toy as she took a walk around this wondrous, sea-dwelling town.

((ok now I don't need to worry about you guys getting here before me. x_x Goddamn being busy. -__- ))

Stephen stood in the center of besaid, he could see Sera defending wakka and Lu's home from a man with a rather large scythe. he began looking around the village, it was weird, he knew that in a matter of days he would be leaving Besaid, and he wouldn't return.

Stephen understood what would happen when they defeated Sin, he knew Yuna would die, and he knew that one of them would have to give their life to become the final Aeon, Stephen would give his life, if only he didn't have the feelings for yuna that he did.

Stephen felt it was his obligation to find a way for them to defeat Sin whilst keeping YUna from using the Final Aeon, and he would spend the entire Pilgramage finding a way to save her. he would not let her die.

OOC: Apologies for not posting sooner, had a bothersome couple of days, and FMA, I don't think anyone is aware of the life price for the Final Aeon, if I recall they didn't even know about the condition of the Lord Zaon Fayth

IC:

Taking a short nap against the wall he was shocked awake upon hearing the sound of the chamber opening, trying to hide this he got up from the wall and walked over to Yuna, his keep eye saw her begin to fall, he could read her exhaustion well from her sweating, breathing rate and quite forced walking. Before he could run to stop her falling, Stephen cut in. Seeing the situation under control to shook his head with a light grin and turned to walk back to the lift, after everyone had got on board Yuna activated it to go up. After they all got back to the main temple he stood behind everyone as they cleared a path through the amazed villagers.

After everyone returned to the village Roland went to have a relax outside Wakka and Lulu's house, he knew he had naught to do for the time being so he took the chance to rest, his sleep however was quickly disturbed by the sound of harsh conversation nearby, opening one eye he cught a glimpse of Sera with her hand on her blade. Slowly getting up to his feet he slipped an arrow onto his bow and took a swift look around the corner, his eyes and ears took note of a man, he seemed quite strong and wielded an unusual type of weapon. With him being so close to Yuna he became quite tense from his protective nature, pulling back on the bowstring he slowly emerged from his 'hiding spot' to see this man for himself. "State your business! What is it you are here for? If you have business with Yuna I suggest you remove that weapon of yours". Pulling back slightly harder on the bow he pointed the arrow at the man's heart. "What is your name anyway, if you are here to be an obstacle I won't take it lightly". his expression looked quite serious, any threat he saw to Yuna he took very seriously...

Stephen's thought was stopped by the escalating situation outside Lulu and wakka's house. Stephen gritted his teeth and didn't seem to happy, he took a deep breath and strode over towards the situation. he stood between sera and the man known as Vesper, he then shot a glance to Roland as to say lower your bow.

Stephen then turned to face Vesper "My name is Stephen, i am one of Yuna's guardians and a close friend of the summoner herself, Stephen then extended his right hand to offer the man a hand shake "I heard you say your name was Vesper, it is a pleasure to meet you" Stephen announced.

"If you don't mind me asking, what is your business with Lady Yuna?" he asked politely.

OOC: don't worry teddie all will be explained

Vesper rolled his eyes in annoyance as more people he thought was guardians approached ready. Vesper laid one hand on his the bottom end of his scythe and in one quick movement adjust the angle on the straps on his back causing it to spin and embed the hooked edge in the ground. Vesper then walked around this and leaned against the wall again.

"I do not like repeating myself but simply my name is Vesper and I wish to talk to lady Yuna, I will react to any hostile actions presented before me but otherwise my weapon will not move from that spot", Vesper said still calmly looking mainly at the man with the bow aimed at him, if a fight did break out Vesper would have to get to a place to stop this mans arrows. From Vesper current position behind his scythe he could remove the weapon from the ground and go into a flurry of attacks with little effort which is why he picked this spot as to them he was no disarmed and defenceless.

"As you can see I'm peaceful so kindly lower your weapons like I have as I really do not want blood to be shed here in the middle of town", Vesper finished still calmly and watched the group, alright then whos going to make the first move he thought.

Stephen saw vespers show of good faith and smiled "very well then" he announced as he retracted his hand from it's offer, instead he placed his hand on the grip of caladbolg and pulled it from his back, he switched the sword to a backhand grip and then stabbed the blade into the ground.

"I trust you" Stephen announced before glancing at Roland "Roland, Please lower your bow, Sera, relinquish your blade" he added before folding his arms. "So, you anygood with that Scythe of yours?" Stephen asked

Yuna finally left Wakka and Lulu's house to see her guardians and a mysterious stranger weilding a rather large scythe (OOC: Damn you, Grim Reaper) standing in front of the house, leaving Lady Yuna puzzled as to why they were waiting outside of the house. He looked at the stranger and proceeded to do the customary Yevon greeting, "Hello sir, my name is Yuna."

Vesper was just about to respond to the man about his comment about being good with his scythe when Lady Yuna spoke to him from his right scaring the hell out of him although he managed not to show it and simply turned to face her as she finished the Yevon greetings. Vesper aware that the other guardians were watching him and hopefully putting there weapons down as the man with the large sword had done he dropped to one knee facing Yuna.

"It is an honour to finally meet a summoner such as yourself Lady Yuna, I am Vesper Foredan", Vesper said as respectfully as he could manage before rising to face Yuna. "I have a goal in life and that is to find my forgotten past which I am sure has something to deal with Sin, this may be suddenly but I having been searching for a Summoner so I can journey with them and find not only my missing memory but bring the calm so many pray for. If you would have me I am yours, please allow me to be your guardian", Vesper said a little unsure of himself and being fully aware of the others facing him.
