I am a Good game buyer.
If the game sucks it can wait.
If it is good then I will get it early.
Ex. i still haven't bought FFX and I won't til it is for $0.
Im a cheap gamer somewhat for some reason games for ps2 that i liked alot are always in the 14.99 bin at gamestop. If its a good game ill get it on the release date if i can.
i'm now a cheap gamer, i.e download alot of games, but back in the day, i would get games on their release day, or week..
but now i dont care for getting games when they come out..as im not that into next gen games if im honest.
im still well into my ps2
always on ebay in search of a bargain.
Mmm, I'm relatively cheap. I don't like getting games in the $50-$60, that's just... bad. I like to let them wait, until it's a game that I just can't wait to play.
I wish Pokemon Revolution would go down.... around here at the game stores its $50 still. And I can't order online. T^T
I'm not a cheap gamer, I like to get games as soon as I can, for example, I got Super Smash Bros. Brawl on launch day: March 9th.
I think I got Pokémon Diamond the day it came out too, so yeah, I only wait as long as it takes for the game I want hits store shelves, then first chance to get it that I can, and there is the money for it, I'll be all over getting a copy of it.
Well i guess i'm a "cheap" gamer ^^ in general, but when we talking about a FF game, that makes all things in other way, i try to get them as soon as i can doesn't rly matter the price, since i don't buy many other games. Too bad all FF takes so long coming out comparing to JP releases.
It depends on how much I want the game and what I am currently playing, really. If I'm not all that bothered, I won't buy it until I haven't got anything else to play - its usually dropped in price by that time, but if it hasn't, I'm not all that bothered either.
I suppose I'm a "cheap" gamer in the sense that I always shop around and look for the cheapest price before I buy it. Although I'll pay that little bit extra if it means getting it quicker if its a game I really want.
I'm usually a bit of a "cheap" gamer yes haha. The price on new games nowadays is just atrocious in my opinion, and with so many games coming out all the time, there's always something on the shelf with a cheap price tag that you skipped at the launch in favour of something else.
Well I guess because I get games right away on there launch days but sometimes I have to wait like I just got the last remnant 2 days ago and not on its launch date. Well I am getting alot of games tonight and tommorow!!!
i know i am cheap gamer, i look around in pawn shops to find games that people played that were classics and abandoned them cause a game is goin to be cheap like mgs2 i saw it for only $5.00 at gamestop
I always wait until games are cheap or, alternatively, only buy games that are cheap because I never find myself in such an abundance of money that I can buy whatever I want- especially if it costs a ridiculous $60+ dollars.
Although, if it's a game I really want or have been looking forward to for a long time, I have to buy it right away.
For example, I bought Persona 3 FES and Persona 4 (actually got it as a present) when they came out because I'm a huge fan of the series.
Same with Metal Gear. Even though i tried to put it off, I had to buy MGS4 by August, still coughing up a good fifty dollars.
Games like FFXIII, and Resident Evil 5 are both going to be games I shell out a full fee for.
I don't know if you'd call me a cheap gamer or not. Probably not? ;D I usually buy what I want right when it comes out - Final Fantasy, Castlevania, etc. I don't like to wait until the prices goes down. Now, say, it's a series/ game I don't have much knowledge in and I'm just looking to try it out and see how I like it? Yeah, I'll be renting it. I don't go and buy something I don't really really love. So maybe I'm half and half? xD
I am absolutely not, haha. I can't wait for a game if I really want to play it, or if it's part of a series that I'm addicted to. For instance, I bought KH2 when it was 72.00. X_X I also bought Crisis Core the day it came out. (Luckily, there wasn't much hype for it, so it was only about 40.00)
I know that when RE5 comes out, no matter the expense, I will be buying it the day of, and not put it down until it is completed. <3
depends, if the game comes out and its worth playing right away, ill shell out for it, if its an "ok" game but i want to play it, ill wait for a price drop.
im currently waiting for tomb-raider underworld to drop in price, although im not the most patient person i have played most of the tomb raider games but since the last one was so short im expecting the same of this so ill wait...
Well i mean doesnt everyone like to save money? I don't see the need to pay 59.99 (which actually turns out to be 64 something with tax) for a game when if i wait maybe a month or two it'll go down to 39.99. Some games are a must buy at full price like halo 3 for example and every final fantasy ever . But for most games i wait for reviews and what my friends think and i usually go and demo it a few times before i go out and buy it.
I have a habbit of bargain hunting on games
I usually wait for them to come out then a month later or so i search around for it second hand Theres a new shop thats opened too for second hand games so thats my main target point now I only rarely buy games new but i would deffinatley NOT by a final fantasy game second hand i pre-order them
I actualy don't know if I'm either. I tend not to have alot of money. Damn those student loans. There are some games that really get my interest and I try to get them as soon as I can. But most of the time if I have money to spare I just go to stores like gamespot. Sometimes you can get some really nice games cheap there. I got Fable the Lost Chapters for twenty bucks and the collectors edition of Two Worlds for ten. Both where still in the shrink wrap too. I can see both games eating up atleast fourty hours each. And that's not including replay time. I love open ended games. Expecialy for the PC.
Not really. I have a limited amount of money, but if I want the game, I'll buy it regardless of the cost. If there's a used copy, I'll get it, but if not, I'll just suck it up and buy the new.
I also tend not to shop around. Game Crazy is usually $10 more for new games than Wal-Mart, but I'll still buy it at GC because it sucks less.
