Are you pre-ordering?

Not sure. I've never pre-ordered before, just swung by HMV on the day of release. A FF has never been sold out to my knowledge in any store near me.

However there is the lure of pre-ordering and getting it a day or two earlier than the release date.... Would I be that bothered, maybe not, but I'd sure be excited at the time!

I pre-ordered yesterday after getting an Amazon voucher through so it jsut had to be done. Can't grumble at £25
I was umming and ah'ing over the collectors edition for a while, in the end, I just decided I wanted it for no real reason other than to say I had it, which seemed abit silly as I know the stuff that came with it, I would of looked at once then left to gather dust. So I decided I'd much rather have the extra money for beer. Actually, I might buy myself a new dress to go with the boots Ive only worn once but I love them

Anyway, Im waffling on now...

So yer, Ive pre-ordered :monster:

I was getting drawn in by the special addition too. I don't think I'd ever use the posters. But the sleave it comes in just looks nicer. No idea what would be in that book. But that's no reason to pay £16 more. Hmmmm. Ah, I still haven't decided. Maybe by this weekend.

It's art work from what I gather. If it would of been the guide, I'd of snapped it up, but the Crisis Core art book I got never gets looked at so it'd be pointless really.

I have to admit though, I don't half prefer the case, I'm gutted I've not had a choice about having that Lightning lass on the front. I prefer the plain image....

Eh, maybe one day... unless someone ever wants to swap cases with me :wacky:

I pre-ordered the special edition yesterday despite having to put a deposit down which means I'll be living on very little for a month or so. I'm more than happy to do so though as I can remember when x-2 sold out on release day and the only reason I got a copy was because I woke up early. I'm a lazy student now though so 1pm will be early for me and I don't want to risk not getting a copy. Of course if places are opening at 12am especially for it I'll be more than happy to head down to the shop then.

I don't believe I will. There are other games that simply compel me to buy then, where as FFXIII has yet to sparkle for me. :hmmm: May end up picking this up a month or two afterwards, depending on how things go.

We'll just have to see.

I have never pre-ordered either, and I don't plan to. I'll just visit my local GAME and buy it, I find it simpler and I probably won't buy it on the first day of release. On the first day, I'll never get in the shop. I'll wait a day or two.

Im going to trade some games in early as the prices do change in GAME when it comes to trading games in. Then pre-order it as you get double points which can go towards the game. Then use my discount if I can :-)

I don't preorder because I seriously got burned the last time I preordered. Instead, I rent them from Gamefly on release day. If I REALLY like it, I end up buying it.

I know, why did they change the case from previous games? I know others have had a small piece of artwork or motif, but not the whole lead character! I'm clearly such a game cover snob!

Anyway pre-ordered mine today. Just hope it turns up on time at least! Hopefully a day earlier :P

I plan to, I'll place it when I get paid next week. I always pre-order my games in advance, especially if there is a pre-order bonus, so I don't worry about if the game is in stock or not when I go to buy it. Then later pay the remainder of it and pick up your game. It's not hard. I wonder why not alot of people do it anymore.

I've not pre-ordered this as I decided to pre-order Heavy Rain instead. Heavy Rain has my interest more than FFXIII at the moment.

Though I will most likely get FFXIII at some point within a few months or so, it'll be quite some time after the release (unless I yield, or feel guilty for some strange reason, or if I get drunk and buy it on ebay or amazon which is hardly likely).

Like I said before I ordered the special edition and after looking around I found out that I can also order the limited edition guide to go with it for £15. So yeah, in total I'm spending £75 on a game and a book...

I feel it's justified as it the Final Fantasy game I've been looking forward to for the longest of any FF game. Three and a half years is a long wait, and I like the special case that much, and the art book can go with my GoW2 and DMC4 ones :D

Personally, I don't want to end up paying for a game I end up not liking. I did that a few years back and not only was the game bad, but it was incomplete. Since then, I tend to rent first.

Also, the game stores around here usually have new releases in stock, no matter how popular it is.

I pre-ordered at my local Play N Trade. I prefer them over gamestop because they still sell old school games. I can always find rare RPGs for what would be considered dead consoles and the prices are always better then ebay.

Either way though I don't think they will have any bonuses for pre-ordering. I was going to pre-order at gamestop because I have a 25 dollar gift card but it has yet to arrive in the mail.

I have pre-ordered 10, 10-2, 11, and 12 in the past. Even with the let downs of some of those I still am going to pre-order 13.

Well I did end up pre-ordering FFXIII for the PS3 a while ago since Canada appears to be getting a preview mini guide and a decent sized poster for pre-ordering. Tomorrow morning when I wake up I'm gonna head down to my EB Games store and grab it and I'm pretty much gonna waste the day holed up in my room playing it until I fall asleep with the necessary breaks in between :P

So yeah, if I'm not online that day, you'll know why xD
