"Becca, let it go. You can kick his ass later, we need to head back now." Enigma said in a slightly patronising tone, one that wasn't too likely to prove popular with Becca. The look on her face said it all. It took a lot to stop Enigma from relentlessly mocking someone, but he knew she wasn't joking around.
"Dammit, Luana, control your woman!" That was the final straw seemingly, Becca's eyes were wide a fiery.
"I should go now..." Enigma scampered for the exit of the boat. Slowly he emerged from the metal vessel, finally able to set his foot on Balamb Soil.
The friendly surroundings helped Enigma relax. The scenery was breathtaking. Amazingly detailed, quaint houses. Emerald green trees and bushes. Even the cars looked good to him. They had the familiar Balamb Garden symbol on the passenger side door. Yes, it attracted attention, but so did the group of 7+ people traipsing around Balamb.
The cheap plastic clunked against the car door as Enigma lifted the handle, granting him access to the inside. The seats were surprisingly comfortable and soothing. They were not the most attractive seats in the world though. Faded red leather. Swanky.
Enigma looked at his watch, which was in immaculate condition as always. 8pm on the dot. "That mission was shorter than I thought it would be..." While that was the case, it didn't stop Enigma from feeling exhausted and bruised.
The boats were finally nearing empty, meaning they could leave for Balamb Garden soon. To be greeted by the usual after mission line-up: A couple of Garden Masters, and Headmaster Cid. Enigma hated the Garden Masters. Hated them with a passion. They just generally creeped him out. The slow, authoritative way they spoke. The surly, hate filled looks they gave. They didn't even seem to serve a purpose! They were one thing he could do without.
