Best card game?

What made this game at times nigh impossible was the forced random it did on you if you wanted all the cards.......made a lot of resets for me as i wanted every card......the only card i was never able to get was the level 5 pupu run card........every other card was simple but nooooooo....try to find those mother ships i found 3 of them and not the last one where it said in my guide to look.....dummies

Triple triad pwns all others, I loved this mini game it is quite possible that other than racing the Chocobo' it the best Square has ever thought up. I mean seriously they should release it with some minor changes to the world market like tiny biography' of each character/monster of the series and a name at the top of the card. I would so buy the whole entire deck.

it was a good card game but some of the rules suck.

But that didnt make it that worse, it is still my fav. mini-game apart from the chocobo's in VII and IX

Triple Triad was fun, but...it was waaaaay too easy...Even with all the rules on at the same time, it was a piece of cake.

Really? I had such a tough time with Triple Triad....
Nephany, you probably owned that game.

Seriously though, some of the rules were really hard to follow, or rather the different rules made it sometimes too tough if you didn't have the right cards.
Especially the one that caused you to lose all your cards if you lost
I still think it's the best card game though.

They were hard to follow the first time around, but it gets easier as you go. I didn't play cards much the first time through. But after I got into refinement, I tried getting them all. XD

The game was fun but i usually found myself refining my cards into items. I was never really into playing it all the time, just every once in a while i would challenge a guy

TTT is pretty fun to do. Especially with all of the game variants.

i prefer tetra master from FFIX, though this is a good cardgame.

TT was alright, but I prefer the Final Fantasy IX Card game more

The game your thinking of in FFIX is called Tetra Master. Anyways, Tetra Master was good but on FFVIII you could turnthe cards into powerful items with the card mod command in the refine menu. You can get this with Quetzalcoatl.

I loved that ability.
Pretty original in my opinion.
Not only did it allow you to get rare cards by transforming monsters into them, you could get better items as well.
Only problem with that is, well, you didn't get exp for carding a monster.

I thought the card game was fantastic and well-developed. I didn't think the Triple Triad was too hard. I got all the cards. ;D I didn't bother doing the Queen of Cards quest until disc 4. On disc 4, south of Esthar, you can find the Queen of Cards. She has all the cards from the quest. Also the Card Club quest was awesome.

i didnt really like the card game at first but after a few games of it i was addiceted to it its quite challenging at some times
