so listening through out the game, and buying the soundtrack, this had got to be the best out of this series!!! i really think that in X the music was a vital part of the storyline and game.

all of the other final fantasy games have awesome soundtracks, but i think X has the best soundtrack by far!!!!

What do you think? what was your favorite soundtrack?
 
All the soundtrack's are beautifully arranged to fit each story, so each is unique and stirs up nostalgia when I hear them.

Sometimes when you're sick of it though I used to stick on albums and listen to them as I played through, and when I hear those albums now, It makes me think of certain parts in the game, of that particular game.

FF VIII - Muse:Showbiz - Desert Prison, can just remember going up and down this bloody prison but had that album from then on for a lot of disk 2.

FFVII - Limp Bizkit:Significant Other/Chocolate Starfish - first album is better, but I was an angry teenager! remember Nilbelheim mountains and the great glacier for them.

FF X - Red Hot Chili Peppers:By the way - Road to the Moonflow. Think i decided to do some leveling up here so thats why this was on. Amazing album too.

Sorry I kinda digressed a bit from the point.

To Zanarkand, Sprouting, The Sight Of Spira, Game Over, Revealed Truth, Decisive Battle, Yuna's theme, Lulu's theme, Suteki Da Ne, Summoned Beast, Daughter Of The High Summoner, End Theme, Deceased Laugh, My Father's Murderer, Seymour's Theme, Seymour's Ambition, ALL versions of the Hymn, Someday The Dream Will End... there's more, but my mind draws a blank. I'll edit them in later.


...Did you honestly think I could whittle it down to just ONE? =O!!!!!!!!!!!
 
i think the soundtrack was completely unique. Rather then all of the other FF's X was a whole new world! just as creative as middle earth tbh! So the music was different with a very eastern feel! i cant really decide if its my fav though.
 
To Zanarkand is definitely the greatest soundtrack in the game, makes me kinda emotional :D
 
I do like this OST, its not my number one fav. Id say it ranks number 3 in my FF OST list. Otherworld is such an amazing rock track.
 
X has a awsome soundtrack.

I don't own a copy myself as the disks aren't sold here but I have downloaded several songs. My favorite is the song played in the scene when sin attacks zanarkand at the start while tidus is playing bliztball. (Sorry don't remember the name)
 
ok x soundtrack is pretty good but i prefer kiss me goodbye from 12 tht song is wicked,
but all the soundtracks to the games are all realli good it is just that 12 has the better sound track, i mean that the game has the best time to use the song, the end of the game is brillent with the sound so i belive that 12 is atm the best sound track to a ff game

Yeah, thats Otherworld what I really do like. It was different to have a rock song thrown into a Final Fantasy. Was great.
 
To Zanarkand <33 I absolutely adore that song, it's so amazing and moving. It really fits the game well, and adds a good deal to the game, in my opinion. Not to mention, it's pretty damn fun to play on the piano |D;
 
I really liked this one as well. i think the only one I found more memorable music on was FFVI's with themes like Locke's, Cyan's, and Shadow's.

FFX's had more eventful music such as Setuki Da Ne (however it's spelled) and the intro with Otherworld. Even the Hymn of the Fayth is quite catchy the first couple times you hear it.
 
I love all the piano collections in it and especially Otherworld...i used to hate it but i LOVE it now xD
 
Wow, I would not have the patience to do something like that.

X is my favorite video game soundtrack...it's amazing. I seriously love everything about this game.
 
The soundtrack has everything...rock, pop, beautiful piano pieces, amazing acoustic guitar parts, great percussion. It fits in perfectly with the game.
 
FFX indeed had very good soundtracks. I really liked At Zanarkand and Otherworld. It probably had some of the best soundtracks yet made for a FF game.

Of course, that's only my own, personal crazy opinion. :monsmash:
 
I've really gotten into FFX's music after I beat the game and even would throw on Otherworld onto my iPod to hook up to my 360 and play while I bash people's faces in on Fight Night Round 3. It's just got that awesome rock-out music to it that can get you pumped up for anything.

I even had it blaring with my buddy Aztec all the way to the mall the morning FFXII released and we went to go pick up the new Blockbuster hit.

Agreed, Zanarkand theme and Otherworld are the best soundtracks for FFX and Otheworld is one of my Fav FF themes alongside Omen (Tought it reminds me of sad things >_<).

I also like these themes: "Secret Maneuvers" (Always plays when a Dark Aeon Fight is about to Happen), "This is your story", "Auron's theme" and "A Dream that will end some time"

*Not sure if most name are correct...
 
As with everyone else I agree that FFX has the best soundtrack.

I already have most of the tunes downloaded onto my laptop so I'm pretty happy.
