Exactly as the title suggests, I wanna know which pop princess you prefer as the better singer and dancer.

Britney Spears
or
Lady Gaga

Both have a HUGE reputation, both are millionaires, both dance and sing, both are inspired by Micheal Jackson, and both have a huge fanbase.

So, which girl is Pop Princess?
 
Britney bitch. she changed the sound of pop forever and was clearly a legend in comparison. She also worked very hard for her moneh andfame and she used to be America's sweetheart...Brit birt all the way! XD

Britney also actually has the look. She's beautiful...You know whay Gaga wears so many clothes and outfits that hide her face? Ugly itis...
 
I have to say Lady Gaga, not to be rude to Britney, but Gaga has suddenly become the "word on everybody's lips" and has released so many good (admit it) records. I don't believe that Britney is good at singing, for all I have heard she mimes all the time... but Gaga has created new fashion into the world and has inspired so many people and such a big fanbase in such a small amount of time. I think she deserves the crown arguably. Yet, there is more to come. But if we're talking about over time since they started - so far, Britney but soon it will be Gaga.

Brit has Lady Gaga's albums all together only went 4xPlatnum That's not close to what Britney has.

Brit fer sure. The fact that she was around gaga is to her advantage but even so, I prefer her over gaga. I mean, she has some good hits.

Gaga... hmmm not so much. While she's popular, Brit still holds the title for me :ryan: I'm not a huge fan of either tbh but, Brit's music IMO is better. She deff has a lot more then Gaga as far as hits go.
 
I prefer Lady Gaga as a singer and performer over Britney, but I would have to give the title to Ms Spears. She has been around since the last 90's and has revolutionized the way Pop Princess' perform. She (well, maybe Madonna) was the one who broke the shell of innocent little girls dancing around an singing so nicely.. and took it to a a higher, risque level. Some can argue she took it to a slutty level, but I would just agree with her song and just say that she wasn't a girl anymore.

Maybe give Gaga ten more years to earn the same sort of notoriety as Britney, but you had to admit... Britney's gone through break ups, mental break downs, babies, come backs and she's still making hits.

My personal opinion, is that Gaga is overrated. Overrated by the people saying "Oh she's awesome, she's so talented and better than oh, just like, everyone!!!!!." The girl can sing, and she has a weird twist on fashion, which can be seen as original or retarded, however, for me it has to be B.

I'm not a fan of either, don't get me wrong.

Lady Gaga is more famous at the moment, but the novelty must wear off at some point, someone is going to think she's just wearing the skin of a dog to get attention etc. And Britney is fat and ugly now.

I like both artists, but I can't help feeling Britney's standards have fallen lately. :gasp:

So I've voted for Lady GaGa. Whereas she could've been enjoying a well-deserved break, she recorded The Fame Monsters. She sings live whereas Britney mimes, even if she can sound crap at times. Her fashion mojo is weird, but that's been one of the main things about her appeal to her fans. She's become a worldwide icon in such a short time, too.

I know what you mean. I've only first heard of Gaga at the very beginning of last year. Even though that was still very recently ago, all the hype and uproar about Gaga has made it feel like she's been around for a decade. >.>

I honestly don't know who is better actually. While I loved Britney years ago, her songs have deteriorated lately. They're just not as enjoyable as her earlier work. Plus I stopped caring about Britney when she started going crazy, shaving her hair etc.

Gaga on the other hand, does have some catchy songs under her belt (or lack of a belt xD), but Britney has more. Britney's just lost attention a while ago as the spotlight's now on Gaga. She is overrated. I don't think much of her average voice and bizarre fashion senses.

But as a whole, both of them are overrated and very average in terms of voice. Purely because Britney has a wider selection of hits than Gaga, I'll probably go for Ms Spears. Only narrowly. I just don't fully see why Gaga is seen as the best thing that's ever happened to the music industry.
 
Gaga.

I'm not a big pop music fan, but I can recognize that she's got talent, though she doesn't always show it. She's a classically trained musician as well. It's unfortunate that she has to do dance/technopop for a living now, but apparently that's what the public wants. And even through soulless pop, she shows that she has creativity and brains in that her actions/fashion choices/videos are all vibrant and artistic in their own way.
 
I don't love either, but I do love their music. I think Lady Gaga's music is much better than Britney's, but this could be because Britney started her career in the 90's, which is the worst decade of music ever (cheesy pop, I love it, but honestly?) There is no way I consider either of them to be an inspiration or a role model (come on, REALLY?!) to girls. Near nudity and sexed up music videos aren't very inspiring to me. I do, however, think Gaga's songs are very entertaining and make you wanna dance. I don't mind Britney's music, I just prefer Gaga's.
