Sephiroth keeps losing against Cloud because whenever he has an opportunity to kill Cloud he instead leaves him there or spews some arrgoant shit. Unfortunately Cloud is much of the opportunist and dosen't let Sephiroth away as easily.
As for others defeating Cloud well he is rather powerful but his motivation sucks so perhaps someone could kill off all his friends and cause him to committ suicide or something? I dunno know.

Cloud the extremely strong warrior that seems to keep coming back after battle and battle. throw whatever you want at him he is invincible. i think if you kill his freinds he will be more upset and thusly be harder to kill, vengeance is a nasty thing to behold. as far as sephirth goes, he hasnt killed cloud yet because he can't, he just isnt capable of it, we all know he has no hesitation in killing *cough*aerith*cough* so he has no hesitation about killing her why would he hesitate to kill cloud huh? he could care less about people from his past. i'm truly thinking the only way to beat this guy is to bring a character form whole different genre into the mix like from mayhaps dbz or even the transforming planet from transformers. that is the only way that cloud will die in a fight i do believe.

they wnat to defeat them for bragging rights duh. oh and who is sora, i ahve no clue if ill agree w/ that comment if i dont know who sora is, is sora the guy form the anime .hack//sign cause thats the only sora i know of.
Sora is the hero in the Kingdom Hearts game which is completely ludricous to this thread. I'm sorry to sound so bitchy but this thread is seriously pointless. Nobody can beat Cloud and I honestly think that nobody will ever beat Cloud *shrugs* Just my opinion. Cloud is the FFVII hero. It would be completely pointless and plainly wrong to defeat the hero. In KH that is a completely different game. I mean look at Aerith. She's in the KH game and Sephiroth killed her, so in all techincality, the Cloud in KH doesn't count. Cloud is pretty much invincible. He just can't be defeated. He's highly skilled and powerful *shrugs* That's just me.
In FFVII, she was Aeris before she died, but if you were to cheat to bring her back, her name would be Aerith.

KH2 Cloud does damn well count, as he's based almost entirely off of AC Cloud, as shown in that scene after you beat Sephiroth, and the scene in Final Mix. I think that shows that Sora is still ultimately better than Cloud.

His LOOK is based off of Cloud in AC. KH has nothing to do with planet Gaia or the Cloud Strife based off of that planet and Xieden, no, her proper spelling of her name is Aerith. They just spelled in Aeris here in the US because that is how it is pronounced. The look of her name has nothing to do with that fact at all.

umm hmm mayhaps bahamut zero could defeat cloud. what do ya'll think, maybe the most powerful single summon could beat him in a one on one fight? or even sephs summon. for a question out there, has anyone beaten ruby or emerald weapon w/ just cloud and only cloud? maybe we shoudl try that and see that way who is stronger. then we can easily see if one of those two weapons could beat cloud.
