Did you rename Tidus or your Aeons?

Personally I keep Tidus as Tidus - I remember when I first played when I was younger I called him Brittany, which was prettyy weird.
I keep the Aeons with their normal names, except this time around I named them after FFF people. I have two Vikkis (-creep-), which gets confusing. And Ixion is Addle :awesome:

I heard of a Rename Card or someshit? Might get one of those.

My friend Jason names his Tidus Jason, because he wants to attach a lead to yuna's neck and drag her into Macalania and do naughty things with her :wacky:

So, what do you name your Tidus/Aeons?
 
Ive always named the people in my FF games after all of my friends.
im not sure if its weired or not but thats what I did lol.
And as for the aeons i usually kept them the same.
 
i always renamed tidus Hell because thats wat everyone calles me and the only aeon i renamed was buhamutt(i think i spelled it wrong) to demon
 
I hated Tidus when I first played the game (I hated the game too) and I called him "Asshead" in the spur of the moment. Of course, when I fell in love with FFX and realized Tidus wasn't so bad, I couldn't let him go through the entire game called "Asshead" The name Tidus, or the name you choose isn't spoken at all during FFX, but there is a bit where his name is mentioned in text. When you try and cross a broken bridge in Kilika, someone says "Not that way, Tidus" or something. When the guy said "Not that way, Asshead" I knew I had to restart. I have a friend who names him Shuyin....every time.

You can get those by fighting Espada in the Monster Arena. I never renamed my aeons at all. I couldn't think of better ones than the original names anyway.
 
Can also get rename cards from blitzball.

I don't think I've ever renamed any. Actually, thinking about it, the last time I renamed was years ago while playing FFVII. Even then I think I only changed the names on just one play through.
 
I've never ever renamed Tidus or the aeons. To be honest, I don't see the point. o_O

I'd have rathered we couldn't rename Tidus, then maybe his name could get spoken...

Seems kind of strange that Yuna loves him but never says his name. :/
 
Not really. In reality, it would be weird to go through life with no one ever uttering your name once, but since it is just a game and there's an absolutely good reason for it, I don't think it's weird at all. XD
 
This is the first Final Fantasy I didnt a;ter the names ever lol. Uuslly its anime names and the heroine has mine, but this time I didnt bother. Dont know why lol.

Tidus - Mclovin
Valefor - Peg
Ifrit - Bud
Anima - Kelly
Bahamut - Al
Yojimbo - Rooney
 
I never rename characters on the first playthrough, think I like to do it with the default settings for the first completion!

However on the second playthrough I called him Riley, which is my surname but what everyone calls me. I think I might rename the Aeons next time, but I'll have to think of cool ones otherwise it'll just be crap! lol

Anyways, no I never change the names of anybody, I just like it that way, and im picky that way..
 
I never renamed tidus i dont even think there should have been an option to rename him
because it would have been good to hear the other characters call him " tidus " instead of " him " or " thr boy "


 
I never renamed my Final Fantasy characters, nor the summons. I don't know, I think I just like their original names. :awesome: The names usually have a lot of meaning and they give us some hints about the characters, so I'd rather keep them. Even when I play the game again I just like to keep the current settings. ^_^

I did that a lot with Pokémon, though.
 
Nah, I usually don't like renaming characters in Final Fantasy. I really like the names that Square makes up eg. Squall (love this name), Cloud (who woulda thought?), Cecil, Zidane etc. etc. However, during my Death Note days, I kinda named Tidus Light.
 
Usually keep Tidus's name the same. They just don't speak his name at all.
But love changing the Aeon names..

Valefor- Is usually Cecil or Red Wings
Ifrit- Is usually Boko
Ixion- Is Celes or Kefka
Shiva- Refia or Maria
Bahamut- Highwind or Kain/ Cain

The rest of the Aeon names ( Magus Sisters etc ) keep the same. Because usually get really lazy by after the Calm Lands XD



 
I never changed any character's name in the FF games.Never wanted to do so and didn't feel right since basically they already had names despite the fact that you were given the option to rename them.
I didn't change name to Tidus for the same reason,didn't feel like it.I liked his name since it's pretty rare.
I didn't change the Aeons names either,simply because I've got used to them like they are,Bahamut is Bahamut,it wouldn't feel right for me if I called him Shiva.
 
Well Actually I kept Tidus and all the default Aeon names because it makes the game more realistic with the real names instead of custom ones. I never ever changed a characters name in any Final Fantasy game because I feel the default names are much better. For me Final Fantasy is something to play with the default names.

Tidus - Chappu (wich is really cool name) ;)
Valefor - Braska
Ifrit - Jecht
Anima - Vegnagun
Bahamut - My name (i'm not tellin you x] )
Jojimbo - Cloud
 
Incidentally, in what way does Tidus resemble Chappu? Wakka and Lulu noted in X that they look similar.........................but do they?!

These are all taken from videogame characters. If Family Guy was a better game I would have named Bahamut Peter or something.

IXION- Darth Vader (because they both use lightning)
SHIVA- Lara Croft (from Tomb Raider)
BAHAMUT- Laharl (from Disgaea)
YOJIMBO- Agent 47 (Hitman games)
ANIMA- Pikachu (Don't ask me why!!!)
MAGUS SISTERS- YRP (Yuna, Rikku and Paine!!!!!!!!)
