Did you rename Tidus or your Aeons?

I usually don't rename the characters anyway (as long as they have a default name) because I prefer to keep the original one.
So Tidus was Tidus and the aeons stayed with their original names (I quite like the names Shiva and Bahamut anyway). In a game which doesn't have a defualt name for the characters (like FFII) I do rename the characters. Even though I can check what is their true name on wikipedia.

In any game, unless I am forced to create a name for my character, I will leave the name to the game's default. I just like it better this way, as it allows for greater immersion into the game, and I generally get sick of any name I create within minutes of choosing it.

I keep all my character names the same, especially the main ones because it just feels right and I have an idea what people are talking about when the mention a certain character name. :ness:

Well...at first I never really change Tidus name. Into I replayed and changed it to Ryo. The aeons were kept the same names, because I never found a good name for them all.

Tidus was Ryo.

i hardly ever rename any characters in video game. im usually too lazy to come up with a cool name so i usually just leave it. it just a lot less hassel for me. and beside i usually don't have a problem with any of the characters names

I went back and played X again, I kept Tidus' name this time but when it came to Yojimbo (sp?) I renamed him Usless. I'm not exactly a fan of having to pay him to fight >.>

I always keep their original names, same is true of any game I play, except for FFIX's Zidane, cause I mean...c'mon.

I do seem to remember renaming my aeons, but never Tidus. I think when I was younger I may have renamed one of them (Valefor I think...) KitFox because that was in the manual/in an official picture. Thought I'd get something in game. Never did :P
Other then that, I just stick with what the game vomits out. I usually can't do better.

The only name I changed was Tidus'. I changed it to Draco. I would have kept it as Tidus, but I needed to change it so that I could distinguish my save game from the save games my brothers made.

Since we were playing through the game at roughly the same time, playtime wouldn't cut it to determine it. As for save slots and their numbers, it's not hard for a brother to accidentally erase your savegame because he mistook it for his without looking at the slot number itself. That actually happened to me, it's the reason I changed his name when I had to restart.

My second youngest brother named Tidus and every single Aeon after himself. That... Got confusing. Ex: "I summon Anima!! Wait! SH--!! Ifrit?!"

I actually change the name of my character, by name and for the leading lady of story I name it like the name of the woman I love, so we can have our story like on the game

I usually keep Tidus as Tidus. When I am gonna rename people, I usually choose one of my friends and plug them in to an aeon.
