Did you rename Tidus or your Aeons?

First playthrough I didn't rename them at all.

Second playthrough I named Tidus "Shithead" because I felt like it (left the aeons as default)

Third playthrough I decided to rename all the aeons and Tidus

Tidus = Bob (Random is win)
Valefor = Gralia (Personal RP character I use from time to time on other forums)
Ifrit = Dante (Strange story behind that one.... *doesn't explain it*)
Ixion = Flash (LOL again don't ask)
Shiva = IceQueen (Was listening to Within Temptations Ice Queen song at this point)
Bahamut = My real name :-)P guess)
Yojimbo = Zanmato (Yes I named him after his ultimate attack xD)
Anima = Seymour (Don't ask why)
Magus Sisters = Hyo, Rin, Maru (Should have a slight idea where that came from)

Not very creative but meh I was bored
 
I didn't rename anybody, or any of the aeons. It is to complicated to come up with good names, if i renamed any of them, it would be something retarded like "a" or something
 
I used to rename all my characters in all games when I was younger but I don't have the patience to come up with any good ones so I just leave them nowadays :) However on my first play through I did rename Ixion to Ramuh as a monument to the old lightning summon but when it kept saying Ramuh next to the unicorn type thing it was a little weird so I didnt do that again!
 
See, I'm not that original when it comes to male names. I can think of some names, sure, but they're pretty lame.

And any man named after me would feel his manly manhood shattering within seconds.

As for Aeons, no. It just... doesn't seem right. If I change the names I feel like I'm ruining some holy balance of ordeeeeeer. *0*

I named him Tidus the first time around, then Chappu the second XD I was young, I thought they would notice. >_> Then Adam, cause I just like that name. The Aeons were Arch as Ifrit, after a guy I know, Yovy as Valefor, after another person. (these are all nicknames XD) CJ as another one, and the rest I kept lawl.

xDDD My brother has dyslexia, so he always used to say Tidus like Tedious 'cause he didn't know how it was pronounced. XD

No, I didn't rename my aeons. And I renamed him that because I thought it was funny.

Not much else I can say. Did you delete my double post? If so thank you. My internet was acting weird and I guess I hit the 'Submit Reply' button more than once. Sorry about that.
 
Nah, I always keep the default names not just for this game but all other FFs too for that matter.
 
I always keep the default names, mainly because then other people know what I am talking about. Example though: my boyfriend was playing this game, and renamed Tidus as his own name, and as he doesn't really play FF games, I was talking to him about them, and he couldn't work out who Tidus was- he asked me if he was a character he hadn't encountered yet. Not his fault really, as he's not a big FF player
 
I never rename anyone in any of the Final Fantasy games.
I can never think of a name better than the one they already have.
 
Haha. The first time I played FFX I renamed all the Aeons after Yugioh cards and renamed Tidus after my own name. It made sense at the time, seeing as I was like, 13 :wacky:

Although, after that. No, I don't change Tidus' name, or the Aeons names. Mainly because I can't think of any better names, and the names they already have are pretty much perfect anyway. xD

Valefor: Boobeh
Ifrit: Bubba
Ixion: Fluffy
Bahamut: Dr. Pepper
Yojimbo: Ass Hat
Shiva: Pepsi
 
I always change the name of my characters on any games, if possible.

My first name for Tidus was Zack, after my little baby brother, which brought me luck because it was the first time playing it and i beat it, I also named Tidus after my fiance, makes the game more interesting. :nudge:

So I'll give a few names i used on aeons, normally named after pets.

Valefor : Nia (leopard Gecko)
Ifrit : Always Techno (leopard gecko)
Ixion : Zeke (leopard gecko)
Shiva : Venus (leopard gecko)
Bahamut : Can't remember?
Yojimbo : Spot (Gerbil)
Anima : Tum Tum (Squirrel)

and the sisters, cant remember probably after some other pets. :gonk:
 
On my first file I renamed all of them. Now a days though, I leave the original names because when I rename them, it just looks stupid. Eg. Ixion was "horsey" and yojimbo was "chinaman" >_> I thought it was funny back then :D
 
I usually named Tidus Derek or Daedalus, since the PS2 used to be a family console.

It still kind of sticks, but I always name my aeons.

I know the first time I played, I named Valefor something really silly, but I can't remember what. It was probably Faygoat or something lololol

Bahamut: Delorean
Shiva: Glitterati, Celcius
Yojimbo: Cocksucker (thats what you get for taking all of my money, fuckin ho >.>)
Ixion: Nixion

but now that i think about it, im pretty sure i named valefor ******faggot for luls :monster:
 
I never rename my characters on any game, did it once and it completely ruined my enjoyment of it, only played one session on that save before deleting it. The default names are usually pretty good and it just seems wrong having a 'John' or a 'Fred' in the Final Fantasy world.
