Doctor Who

Er...I think David Tennant is still pretty famous even though he's left the role of Doctor Who. Ditto Christopher Ecclestone.

Tennant's been doing more than Eccleston. Tennant's been in about 3 or 4 movies in the past 2 years while Eccleston has sadly only done a few things. Only thing that I know he's done recently was the movie "Lennon Naked" where he played John Lennon. Looked pretty good.

i've been rewatching from series one over the last couple of weeks, and i'd forgotten how infuriatingly sentimental david tennant's death was. the last fifteen minutes of the end of time are painful to watch.

I quite liked that bit - it was self indulgent but I can see why they wanted a final victory lap. Besides I like self indulgent.

i can see why they did it, especially since it was russell davies bowing out as well, but i think they went ott with it. i really liked his final goodbye to wilfred and donna's mum at the wedding.

Finally. I missed the Daleks. Smith hasn't really gotten to go up against them at all aside from the one episode in series 5.

less than one week until series 7 now. what did everyone think of the latest trailer? it looks asylum of the daleks is going to be a great way to get started.

cant wait!!!

keep meaning to check out taht pond life thing, but never getting round to it

Well I am still a bit skeptical about the whole new series and the trailer...makes me think it's gotten even cheesier :/ I mean I cringe when Matt goes 'Dinosaurs......on a spaceship' *shivers* I will watch the first couple and see how I feel.

they've been two wholly unimpressive episodes so far. they've both felt like filler episodes that have no real place in the overall story arc, which is a big shame because last season's opener was one of my all time favourite episodes. asylum of the daleks was just a way of introducing oswin for later, and dinosaurs on a spaceship was a bit bland. i had really hoped they'd drag out
amy and rory's divorce
for a few episodes at least, but even that was disappointing by the end. next week's doesn't look too brilliant either.

I disagree, I've enjoyed the two opening episodes. Though the comedy Mitchell and Webb robots felt a bit incongruous with how unpleasant Argus Filch, I mean, Solomon was. It's rare someone is so bad
they manage to break even the Doctor's limits of mercy. Maybe villains should refrain from killing dinosaurs in front of the Doctor!

I felt that the first episode was ok but needed to be a bit more dramatic and a two parter at least. It felt rather undermined how she was like I've erased you from their brains they don't know who you are in like a second. I watch the dinosaur one last night and found it laughable to say the least, it wasn't interesting nor entertaining. The next episode looks ok but I want it to start kicking into gear as soon as possible cause otherwise it will be a very lacklustre series so far.

Sorry for the double post but I feel this image I created sums up what Matt Smith is like around aliens. On topic though the latest episode was a bit naff if you ask me. Maybe the next one might be the episode we deserve :)

gettign on my tits this site now, lets see if this is 3rd time lucky trying to post!!

Think S7 has been pretty shit so far, i hope it gets the kick up the arse it needs as all the eps have jut felt like fillers

i thought i was in the minority who thought that. i really liked how the first half ended, but overall it still wasn't a great episode. i need to rewatch the christmas special as well because i didn't really get a chance to watch it properly. it's an interesting set up with the girl who died twice, and apparently it has a fantastic twist that no one will see coming. i'll be seriously pissed off if it turns out she has a time travelling twin or something shit like that :rage: i felt very cheated by series 6's twist o finale

theres been some speculation that she could be the little girl from silence in the library, i cant even see how that is possible, given she was stuck there as a young girl

Time travellign twin would be a bit bobbins... and a bit of a cop out if they did that hahahaha

I did enjoy her episodes, really hated rory and amys departure, it just felt totally random

i quite liked it, i thought it hit all the right emotional points. i found i cared more about amy than i thought i would because after her first series, i got really bored with her and rory always stood out as a better character to me.

it would be interesting if it was that girl in some way, or if she was somehow related. silence in the library was one of my favourite episodes so it'd be good to possibly see the vashta nerada again
