OOC: Ok, Kevin. Gonna skip changing dress and moving ahead.

Escaflowne Zraith

So Zee, how exactly do you put on such a "complex and overly-priced-for-so-little-material" dress I wonder?"

Just as Escaflowne was about to try and begin to help Eliane into her dress when her upside down sight flipped the clock on her wall. In an instant, Escaflowne's face paled. They were all late, or at the very least, running out of time very, very fast. There was no time to help Eliane into the dress because it was close to playing dressing gymnastics. There was no choice, but to suck it up and go in it herself.

Argh! We're late Eliane. No time to help you in. Swapping back!

While she didnt manage to elicit a reaction from Stella, there was work to be done. Flipping off onto her feet, Escaflowne took her dress back off Eliane, replaced it with the borrowed dress and quickly dashed into her toilet. Clothes flew off her body and the pieces of the dress were unlatched from each other. Even wearing it herself, it was complex. The top part was easy enough, but she had to wear the bottom layer dress and latched it to the top before putting on the cover dress and latching that as well. THEN the rear skirt which included so many dangling parts before the shoulder pauldrons and the wrist bracelets. In fact, the entire outfit also included a headdress, but there was a limit to extravagency and gaudy. But, in the end, she had her dress on. Her hair was still down and she still had her shoes to wear, but that can wait. With both white heels in hand and a hair pin in the other, Escaflowne waved open a portal door.

Crapsack... this is cutting it close. I'm off first. I'll see you guys down there at the Great Hall

Through the portal, Escaflowne stepped out into the middle of the dance floor and saw that there were quite a few students that were early. Of course, she saw the DisCo Lyra and her fellow committee memebers, making sure that no one would cause trouble. She even the cyborg teacher Miezer. Quickly slipping on both heels and twirling her hair into a bun before sticking the gold pin in. From the side door, Delijah Fei (of course it was she with her small stature) fell through another portal. Only rather high level people could use portals and given that it is framed by the door, it was probably Alyss. Satisfied that she was presentable, Esacflowne checked in with the staff and waiters and when everything was proceeding as planned, Escaflowne let out a sigh of relief and decided it was probably a good idea to check in with Lyra. Walking over, Escaflowne approached Lyra, Ophelia and Lukas. Opehlia seemed to be preoccupied with conversation with Lukas, so Escaflowne went to greet their leader.

Evening, Miss Scarlet. Thank you for assisting with the security tonight.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Delijah Fei
“I-I am really sorry, I should have told you to be careful. Portals can cause that to happen if you are not used to them…”
Oh dont worry about it. I get these bumps all the time. I'm used to it.
Delijah did take Alyss' hand, however, and hoisted herself to her feet. She envied these higher talented members. From what she had heard, the entire StuCo board had abilities that were incomprehensible and each member could use each skill in a multitude of different directions, making a single skill into many. She herself was kind of a one trick pony with different variations. Most of her skills were dependent on her flames and if, God forbids, something managed to negate it, it was down to basics. Now that the pair was here, Delijah should report in with Ms Scarlet, whom she saw standing by the doorway. Lukas and Ophelia was there as well. Including herself, the entire DisCo was present.
Well, i should report in to Ms Scarlet, so come with me if you want... oh!
From the stage, a tall figure in a rather flashy dress sashayed towards Ms Scarlet as well.
I think thats Ms Zraith from the StucCo, your colleague, going to the same direction. Why dont we both go and you can say hi to her? Come on.
Taking no complicated thought on the action, Delijah grabbed on to Alyss hand and pulled her along towards the group.
Headmaster Krell
Krell sat cross legged in a seat staring blankly out at the mass of students before him. Sadly Nurse Milly hadn't shown up, despite his efforts to wear his most stylish and alluring dark green suit. Perhaps she had declined his invitation? Either way it was nice to see the students changed and enjoying food. As expected every student was a wallflower. Only a few groups of friends came out to actually dance. Young people were definitely more fragile nowadays than when he began the Academy. They all wanted power, they all wanted to be naive heroes, they all wanted to be dark and mysterious. By the look of things it seemed that a few hundred of them had opted not to attend the 20 year old event at all. Young people were a mystery.
He sipped the last of the grape juice in his wineglass before setting it down and heading to his office quarters. Hopefully Phelda would have sorted the recon teams and have the folder returned. The halls of the great school were empty and dark. It was an odd feeling being alone in the halls. Farther and farther up the student staircase and past the empty student dorms, the Academy felt emptier than usual. Maybe it was the crop of 56 students he had expelled? It was more likely the place felt different because of the damned Shade creatures.
He entered the New North tower on the ground floor and found the way to his office. There was no folder upon his desk, Nurse Milly's things were absent, and the tank behind his desk was empty. "That woman must have ditched me to take that thing for experimenting." he mumbled.
He had only seen the black shape out of the corner of his eye when he turned. A student had stood in the doorway. "Can I help you?" he asked.
The student didn't reply. It stood there for a minute before he felt another presence in his office. The wind behind him shifted and the student before him lunged forward. A student ambush?
With the snap of his fingers, the gravitational field inside his office vanished. The two attacking students lost their balance and went slowly floating upwards. His rising desk had revealed yet another armed student and the rising curtains revealed another. "Explain yourselves." he snarled standing in midair as if it were common.
The revealed students did nothing but stare. "Fine then you will all be expelle-"
Four loud popping noises erupted and suddenly the students' chests exploded much to Krell's surprise. A second snap of his fingers sent everything slamming back down to the ground. The assaulting students, instead of bleeding out to death, had begun to fade into a cloud of black smoke. "What the-?"
"The situation's not over yet it seems. I've talked to Justise. He thinks the transport ship's been tampered with long before we arrived here."
Nurse Milly stepped out from the doorway dressed in a slim sky blue dress and holding a smoking pistol in her hands. "These students, aren't students. I'm thinking some type of Shade."
"The Shade are shape shifting now? That nosy groundskeeper may have stumbled onto something. Do you think those were clones?"
"Hell if I know. But there's something odd about a lot of the returning students. For one they can't talk. Even if you injure them slowly."
Krell walked swiftly out of the office. Knowing Milly, he was sure that her absence from the dance was most likely due to slow torture. She followed him quickly. This was an emergency on all fronts. Shade acting as students would not be tolerated. Who knew what these things could be planning?. This would have to be a hush-hush operation. He didn't need students attacking each other over suspicions. "Where are you headed?"
"I'm going to have a talk with Jack, and the Disciplinary Head."
"I'll alert the townsfolk. Save me a dance for later on."
Her voice was harsh as ever as she walked in the opposite direction. He smirked a bit before rushing back to the event.
Phelda Stella Marx
Stella had just clipped a purple butterfly clip in her hair before heading to the dance with a folder in her arms. She tripped several times down the staircase before making it to the entrance of the dance. She flipped through applicants of the list. It was odd to have to sort out which students would be good at doing what. Each team needed a perfect balance, but that was more of Eliane's field than her's. She nodded at the group congregating near the 'bouncers' of the entrance and went on inside. It was a nice place and the dance floor was bare. The tables were filled with students eating food from the buffet. There were students talking in groups all around.
Stella didn't have many friends at EA. The only people she knew well enough was the student council members. Most of her old friends had left the Academy already. Her younger sister could be seen standing with a few students. Occasionally she would say hi, after all, looking out for a younger sibling was a priority. "Hiya Pharra." she smiled.
She was met with a blank stare. Blank stares from both Pharra and the friends the girl had surrounded herself with. "Yea...um just saying hi and all. Not even a day and I've got work already." She gestured toward the folder in her hand with a smile, but not even that could crack a smile on any of their faces.
She leisurely walked away, chatted to a few students before feeling completely lost. After that she decided to work on the folder projects before getting a bowl of salad to finish. She spotted the Headmaster entering the dance. His usually neat hair looked a bit matted with sweat. "Jack Meizer I need your services. Lyra I'd like to see you too. Both of you come see me in the Great Hall at once please." she heard him say.
She breathed a sigh of relief and returned to her duties while taking occasional bites of her salad. Hopefully he wouldn't ask her for the folder back any time soon.
Maeinardi Reyes
Maei walked through the halls in the babydoll dress she was used to wearing. "It's so quiet in here!" she said.
The creaking coffin on her back was the only thing she hear while she descended the steps to the dance. She was late, but only because nap time lasted much longer than she anticipated. "Focus girlie! You're already late! What if you can't get in?" said Mopsy as they reached the dance.
"Oh I hope there's still roast beef left! I LOVE roast beef! It's extra tasty with mayonaise."
"Pay attention girlie! There's barely two hundred kids in there."
Maei paused and peeped inside. From what she could see the rabbit was right. Half the school looked like it hadn't even shown up. From the corner of her eye Maeinardi spotted something down the hall. The silhouette of a man, a very bony man walking slowly down the corridor and disappearing somewhere. The sight of him sent chills down her spine but she shook her head and shrugged it off as her brain playing tricks on her. The dance was empty but everyone looked really nice. She went up to a girl in a green dress and couldn't help but marvel at it. Finally she approached the girl. "You look like a mint candy! Mint is my favorite flavor. Do you have any favorite candies?" she asked.
Jack Miezer
While waiting for Hanzel's reply, Jack heard a slight static in his ears that came from an installed receiver in his 'cyborg' body. Besides people he needs to keep contact on missions, the only other person that has his radio and video frequency is Krell. His visor, specially made for him to see images and through it at the same time, closed over his face as the display flashed to light. Krell's image appeared as he spoke.
"Jack Meizer I need your services. Lyra I'd like to see you too. Both of you come see me in the Great Hall at once please."
"Roger that. I'll be there in a minute." Jack replied as he cut contact. The visor raised back up over his head as he looked at Hanzel.
"In any case, do not be late for my class. Consequences will be unpleasant to say the least." Jack muttered as he started to head out. A few minutes of looking and he saw the headmaster. Easily making his way over to him, Jack made his presence known to the headmaster.
"Jack here. What's the new mission?"
---Eile Mires---
Eile looked around a bit before she started eating her meal. A few bites in and noticed one particular girl. She had a coffin on her back. Ignoring her for a bit, she went back to eating her meal. She didn't know that the lady's attention was focused on her.
"You look like a mint candy! Mint is my favorite flavor. Do you have any favorite candies?"
Eile swallowed her food as she looked back at the lady.
"Mint candy? Thanks. I guess? I don't have any favorite candy since my travels won't allow me to eat junk food. Since you took the trouble to talk to me, care to tell me your name?" Eile asked looking at the coffin carrying lady.
OOC: U got my msg in the Su/D thread about Hanzel and her armour right Levont?
Hanzel Von Marseille
By this time, Hanzel was snacking on some light snacks that were available at several places in the Hall. Right now, she was stuffing some stupendous strawberry shortcake into her mouth with another plate of chocolate fudge brownies to her right and a bowl of jelly to her left. It kind of made her happy that there was no one that was bothering her or stopping her from eating. Conversation was nice and all, but the food beckoned and that trumped all if she could get away with it.
"Enjoying the party Miss Marseille?"
And then, there was the dreaded interruption. From memory, the voice was that of the Arma Teacher from this afternoon during the battle. He had saved her from a rather large shade, so it was proper manners to reply with respect and gratitude. Hanzel turned around to face Mr Meizer, though not willing to put her plate down and greeted him. Just as she was about to reply, her teacher spoke before her.
"In any case, do not be late for my class. Consequences will be unpleasant to say the least."
Hanzel nodded and forked another piece of shortcake into her mouth as she watched Jack walk away. She was now free to eat her cake again
((My reply is fucking terrible- I've been sick all day.. Sorry for the wait, Valkyr))
+Lukas just watched, as interruption after interruption somewhat ruined the conversation he’d been having with Ophelia: The cyborg was a teacher, and seemed to be reprimanding his other over such a subject of ‘titles’. Lukas had been in a position of authority himself , back home, but one of the primary responses that bugged him was that of titles. He hated being called “Master”, or “Sir” by the butlers and workers of the house. The idea of doing this to another student is preposterous to Lukas, even if they were the society leader. +
+Nevertheless, Lukas kept his mouth shut. His input was obviously unessicary and would probably escalate the issue somewhat. He awaited Ophelia’s chit-chat with a very slight interest. He’d have to get to know these ladies somehow; better start from the nice one- or that was how Ophelia can across. Of course Lukas had seen her skill in battle- one which could be envied by those of a lower calibre- but, there was no room for idolisation in Lukas’s mind. He had his own debacles in which to get involved, one of which was his job as bouncer. That’s not to mention the ‘apparent’ favour which Jack had recently done for him, to disagree would be both rude and unwelcoming; Lukas knew social cues better than that. +
"So, you still haven't told me your name."
+Lukas’s mind then snapped back to Ophelia’s question. He nodded slightly, his eyes lost the glaze they gained while the others debated and spoke. His head pivoted to the Questioner and- with the hint of a smile-semi faked- he replied.+
“Well, I can finally answer. I’m Lukas Edwards… But please, call me Lukas.”
Argh! We're late Eliane. No time to help you in. Swapping back!
Elaine quickly looked at the time to see that they were going to be late. "Ah, Damnation, let's make haste." Elaine groaned as she quickly took back her dress and promptly rushed to her bathroom to put it on. Fortunately, unlike Zee, she didn't have too much trouble putting it on her quickly, all it required was just to pull it on her person. By the time she walked out of the bathroom she saw a portal and Zee walking in through it. Knowing that that portal was going to close any moment now, Elaine rushed through putting on her bracelet and her black shoes before jumping for the portal. (I'll assume that the portal is left open long enough for Elaine to enter as well.)
Elaine would find herself in the middle of the dance floor, it seemed a good deal of students have arrived already, as were the case with the entire DisCo and the cyborg teacher Professor Meizer and many others from StuCo as well arriving, however it seemed that the headmaster was there as well, who called for Lyra and Professor Meizer for some reason. "Probably important, I'll leave them to their business." She thought to herself. True to her word that she stated earlier, Elaine would head on over to get herself some punch before standing by at a nearby wall and watch the students have their fun.
Lyra Scarlet
“Evening, Miss Scarlet. Thank you for assisting with the security tonight.” Escaflowne said… wearing a rather fancy dress. Lyra paused for a few moments to imagine how someone could get something like that on. Pants were easy, one leg into the other. Escaflowne’s dress looked like it required a team of specifically trained fruity fashion designers to get it on for her. Not wanting to say anything about her interesting choice of attire, she simply nodded her head. “It’s really no problem. Besides, it’s kind of my job.”
She would have said more, but she noticed Headmaster Krell coming up to her. That was never anything to take lightly. “Jack Meizer, I need your service. Lyra I’d like to see you too. Both of you come see me in the Great Hall at once please.” Lyra nodded her head and followed him into the Great Hall… which was filled with people. She brushed her hand through her hair and looked around. Large crowds were not something that she was fond of – at all. As they walked in she looked to the Headmaster, “What exactly do you need us for, Headmaster?”
Alyss Mithrandir
Alyss was so tiny and week that when Delijah picked herself up with her help, Alyss almost fell onto the ground with her. However, thankfully, that wasn’t the case. Alyss took in the sight of the Great Hall. It was very nice, and it was a much refreshing change from getting attacked in the forest by rather ugly looking Shades. She noticed a few people that looked familiar. Escaflowne was there as well. Alyss recognized her rather easily… and it was very hard not to. She was wearing an incredibly flashy dress. In all honesty, it was very pretty.
“I think that’s Ms. Zraith from the StudCo, your colleague, going to the same direction. Why don’t we both go and you can say hi to her? Come on.” Alyss didn’t exactly have much time to refuse. Once her hand was grabbed and she was pulled along, she couldn’t refuse at all. The thing about Alyss was that she was horribly shy and panicked rather easily… and she was suffering from panicking quite a bit at that moment. Would the others be angry at her for not fighting? Alyss let out a tiny whimper as they got closer.
Ophelia would not say this openly, but she was rather pleased when Jack had to leave to answer some urgent call of duty. It didn't matter that it could be something that involved the DisCom, and came directly from the Headmaster himself. As silly as it would be to think that, Ophelia didn't want to think business at the moment. This was a party! She was here to bask in the music and mainly the food and drinks, not to join another fight. Not in what she was currently wearing, at least.
For now, she decided she would avoid thinking too much about it. Lukas spoke just as she made the decision.
“Well, I can finally answer. I’m Lukas Edwards… But please, call me Lukas."
So, his name is Lukas. Ophelia regarded the new DisCom member with some curiosity. Due in part to her position as a subordinate under Lyra, and partially her lack of interest, she had no knowledge about this new addition. Moreover, she did not get to see him in battle during the earlier Shade attack. That made her even more curious about Lukas' ability. Going by the bandages on his hand, it probably had something to do with it. If not for the fact that he seemed to be avoiding it so far in the conversation, Ophelia would have asked. Since she didn't persist enough before, she didn't want to potentially ruin the conversation by persisting now.
"Hello then, Lukas. I am Ophelia,"
she said, smiling as she did. In an attempt to feel less awkward, she began to glance around at the crowd. "Oh, there's Delijah." She gestured towards the smaller girl headed in their general direction. It was also just then that Ophelia noticed Escaflowne, one of the StuCo members with Lyra. And so the party begins, Ophelia supposed,turning to look back at Lukas. In her mind, she was searching through some topics for idle banter, but she realized she could not find the words. Instead, she looked blankly at Lukas, feeling the awkwardness build up with her small, nervous smile.
Headmaster Krell
It was good to see he didn't have to wait long for the two to arrive in the Great Hall. Lyra had followed him out into the space. It looked as if most of the crowd had left.
“What exactly do you need us for, Headmaster?”
"I just need the two of you to do two things. The second different for each of you. Ah-Jack."
"Jack here. What's the new mission?"
"First things first I'd like both of you to be aware of the new Shade threat that has befallen our school. I need you both not to incite any panic among staff and students by spreading this information around-except maybe to the rest of the Discom, but I'm leaving that choice with you miss Scarlett." Krell was interrupted by the school's groundskeeper.
Justise West rarely ever did carry on long conversations. He just shoved a map of the transport ship in front of Krell's face and walked out of the school front doors. Krell rolled up the map marked with red in certain places before continuing. "First of all I'd like you Lyra, to block the entry to the dance. Don't let anybody in, don't let anybody out. Secondly I'd like you and the discom members to ask students verbally for their badge and demand a verbal reply. If these students do not reply I would like you to escort them to a place void of other students and staff and dispose of them." he cleared his throat. "Now for You Jack, I'd like a similar task done outside the dance. Find students all around the campus and take a survey of your choosing. The students who do not respond vocally are to be disposed of."
He figured he had chosen the two best suitable for the job. Jack was fast enough to zip through the campus. Lyra had the authority to clear purge the event. He wondered for a small second if he should warn the student council as well but decided no. They had done enough work for the day. "It seems as though a few Shade have taken the liberty to pose as students. I don't know of their powers or limitations. I suppose if all else fails you could aim for the head. If anything shall go wrong you can contact me with these." He handed them black ear pieces from the coat of his pocket. "I'll be listening through this."
He pulled out a large old dusty radio from the subspace within his breast pocket before placing it back. "Failure is not an option. And try not to cause a commotion. Any questions before I leave?"
Maeinardi Reyes
"Mint candy? Thanks. I guess? I don't have any favorite candy since my travels won't allow me to eat junk food. Since you took the trouble to talk to me, care to tell me your name?"
"No candy? That's no fun! I'm Maeinardi You can call me Maei!" The best part of social events were meeting new friends. Maei hadn't seen a new face for a long while. "And this is Mopsy the bunny."
She raised her puppet hand to show the rabbit. The rabbit puppet sat on her hand stiff. "Introduce yourself Mopsy...I'm sorry he's shy around strangers." she said.
For a moment she broke her gaze and saw an odd shape looking in from a window but then continued in her conversation. "Hey are you bored? You wanna explore? I can show you around the school too! There's lots of stuff! Oh, and there's a secret passage way too. Oh-HEY!"
She waved at her roommate Hanzel who was eating a piece of cake. "I'm sorry that's my roommate over there. It must be her snack time."
Phelda Stella Marx
Stella had about finished her third cup of water before closing her folder. She spotted Eliane through the crowd standing by the wall. She'd probably be a big help. "Hey Eliane. Lookin Spiffy." she giggled. "Erm can I ask you for a helping favor?"
She opened the folder with the names of students and teachers. "Krell wants me to sort these select few into groups for missions. I'm just not sure I'm good at that sort of thing. I really don't know if I should make well-rounded teams or teams for special tasks only. Do you have any advice?" she whimpered in a faux plea.
As far as she could tell she wasn't doing much of a good job at her job.
Jack Miezer
"First things first I'd like both of you to be aware of the new Shade threat that has befallen our school. I need you both not to incite any panic among staff and students by spreading this information around-except maybe to the rest of the Discom, but I'm leaving that choice with you miss Scarlett. First of all I'd like you Lyra, to block the entry to the dance. Don't let anybody in, don't let anybody out. Secondly I'd like you and the discom members to ask students verbally for their badge and demand a verbal reply. If these students do not reply I would like you to escort them to a place void of other students and staff and dispose of them. Now for You Jack, I'd like a similar task done outside the dance. Find students all around the campus and take a survey of your choosing. The students who do not respond vocally are to be disposed of."
Jack frowned at this turn of event. While it was his job to protect the students, Jack knew that Krells know where he came from and his past. The mission was basically asking him to relive part of his nightmare as a child solider.
"It seems as though a few Shade have taken the liberty to pose as students. I don't know of their powers or limitations. I suppose if all else fails you could aim for the head. If anything shall go wrong you can contact me with these. I'll be listening through this. Failure is not an option. And try not to cause a commotion. Any questions before I leave?"
Jack sighed as he decided to get one question out of the way as he took the ear piece and put it in his ear.
"I'll treat this as a mission from before my hiring, so I will require a payment to cover repairs on me should I take damage. Is that reasonable to you?" Jack muttered as his vizor slide over his face.
Regardless of the answer, Jack reached down and grabbed both of his daggers from their sheath. He walked outside of the Great hall and started looking around.
"Commencing mission." Jack muttered into the ear piece before taking a light jog that soon lead to a full blown run in a random direction.
---Eile Mires---
"No candy? That's no fun! I'm Maeinardi You can call me Maei! And this is Mopsy the bunny."
Eile watched as Maei tried to get her puppet to speak to her. Mentally, either Maei is a ventriloquist or she has lost it a while ago. Maei's gaze broke from her as she saw something behind her. But just as quickly, her gaze is back on her.
"Hey are you bored? You wanna explore? I can show you around the school too! There's lots of stuff! Oh, and there's a secret passage way too. Oh-HEY!"
Eile followed her gaze to another lady eating some cake. She didn't seem important as Eile drew her attention back to Maei.
"I'm sorry that's my roommate over there. It must be her snack time."
"I see. I guess I can use a tour of the school. I'm Eile Mires. Nice to meet you." Eile replied.
It wasn't that Eile was bored. She just didn't have much to talk to. But that changed with the mention of a secret passage in the school. That was the only thing that interested her at the moment.
Elaine Chevalier
Elaine was busy downing what would be her second cup of punch, still standing about while the party started to die down. Yet, thinking about what is going on. She can only leave up to one's imagination.
All her thoughts would be distracted by Stella approaching her. She was carrying a folder in hand, most likely the mission list for tomorrow's missions. "Hey Eliane. Lookin Spiffy."
Elaine gave Stella a light chuckle as she saw her giggle. "Merci, Stella." (Thank you, Stella). She wasn't surprised however that Stella's flattery would lead to her saying, "Erm can I ask you for a helping favor?"
"Of course, what do you need?" Elaine said as she saw Stella open her folder, "Krell wants me to sort these select few into groups for missions. I'm just not sure I'm good at that sort of thing. I really don't know if I should make well-rounded teams or teams for special tasks only. Do you have any advice?"
Elaine nodded and thought for a moment. "Well with the new students, it is better to make more well-rounded teams. This way we will know how capable our fellow student body is." She said calmly about the fact. "In addition, making well-rounded teams would have the advantage of covering all the potential possibilities and threats that be."
OOC: Omg. this is horrible >.>
Escaflowne Zraith
Escaflowne was just glad that Lyra was cordial. She had known her to be a rather harsh person and prickly at best when conversing, but the few words they had were pleasant enough. Bidding a short farewell, Escaflowne turned and surveyed the Hall. The time to start was almost upon them and a large portion of the students were present, mulling about in light conversation and food. Perhaps a small speech was in order, just to get the night going? Just as she started for the stage, Delijah came winding through the crowd with Alyss in tow.
Oh. What a surprise. Heya Alyss. This is like the first time we've met since we landed on the island? Word is that you helped a bunch of first years survive in the forest? Those lucky buggers should thank you they are still here. Still, good job. You too Delijah. I need to go say something. I'll see you at the table later on then Alyss.
Escaflowne ruffled the small Asian girl's hair for a bit before leaving, rather well aware of the small taboo to her. Quickly skipping away giggling before Delijah could bite out at her and Escaflowne gave Eliane and Stella a small wave as she moved. People parted a bit for her as they knew it was about time to start. Once on the stage, she tapped the mic once and began
Hey guys. Its good to see so many people here tonight. Now, i know that this morning was a bit hectic and more than a few of you got a slight dent on you. But hey, we're all in once piece. Just relax and kick back with friends for the night and enjoy the food and meal. After all, we are now all united once more as a family. Just keep the rowdiness to a limit, otherwise, the sterner "older siblings" of this family might need to step in. I wont bore you with even more droning so thats all from me. Have fun.
There was a hearty reply from the audience and the noise finally dropped a bit more, with chatter being replaced with clatter of utensils as people began going for food. Replacing the mic, Escaflowne stepped off the stage and made a straight line for Eliane and Stella. She grabbed a glass of lemonade from the table, drained it in one go and dropped herself rather unceremoniously onto a chair next to where Eliane was standing. Both girls seemed to be head deep in more admin work
Bleh, i hate speeches.... Watcha all workin on?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Delijah Fei

Delijah glowed from the compliment. She loved it when her efforts were praised, especially when it is said on a peer level. What ruined it was the final head rub from Escaflowne. Both eyes closed, basking in it for a second before she snapped out of it. By that time, Escaflowne had retrieved her hand and Delijah's teeth clamped on thin air. She was jesting her, treating her like a child and she did not like it. As she watched Escaflowne walk away, Delijah turned back to her companion. Seeing as things were going to start soon, she wasnt sure what to do. There was the choice of joining her DisCo members, but then, Alyss didnt seem that steady nor willing. In fact, even her feet seemed kind of unsteady.

Hey, i know! Since things are going to start soon, why dont you take a seat and i go grab us some chow? Im feeling a bit light headed from the jump so some food would be good.

Truthfully, Delijah was fine. In fact, the portalling was exilarating. But Alyss didnt look to well and perhaps food would help, or at the very least, a drink.

Lyra nodded her head as Krell spoke. She very well knew of the Shades on campus, how could anyone not know at this point? As much as she wanted to say something, she simply continued to listen. He wanted to stop any kind of panic among staff and students. She simply nodded her head as he spoke. She thought it would be better to take a stealthy approach with it. After all, if there was anything that she missed most about her previous life, she rather missed sneaking around. As she thought about things, he continued.

To not let anyone in or out wouldn’t be a problem. As soon as the conversation was over she was going to send a mass text out among the Disciplinary Committee with full instructions. Jack was then ordered to do essentially the same thing, but outside of the dance. Krell then asked if she had any questions, Lyra simply shook her head. Wasting no time at all, she pulled out her phone and sent a mass text to every member of the Disciplinary Committee.

“Your orders are as follows: From this point on, no one gets into the dance or out of the dance. Once the dance ends and everyone is dismissed, then they may leave. Start checking the ID’s of students at random. Furthermore, demand a verbal reply; THIS IS MANDATORY. If they do not offer a verbal reply, you are to escort them someplace random and eliminate them immediately.”

From there, she turned around and walked back to the door. No one was going to get in or out on her watch. Orders were orders, after all…

Alyss Mithrandir
“Oh. What a surprise. Heya Alyss. This is like the first tiem we’ve met since we landed on the island?” Alyss nodded her head as Escaflowne spoke. “Words is that you helped a bunch of first years survive in the forest? Those lucky buggers should thank you they are still here.” With that, Alyss simple giggled nervously. All she had done was run away and get scared. If Escaflowne had saw her back there, she would have been embarrassed. “Still, good job. You too, Delija. I need to go say something. I’ll see you at the table later on then Alyss.”

She nodded again and said nothing. Escaflowne walked up to stage and gave her speech as Alyss looked around nervously. She hadn’t noticed, but there were a lot of people around… and she didn’t do well in crowds of people. In fact, Alyss jumped a bit when Delijah addressed her again. “Hey, I know! Since things are going to start soon, why don’t you take a seat and I go grab us some chow? I’m feeling a bit light headed from the jump so some food would be good.” Alyss smiled, “T-that would be very nice. Thank you, really… that is very nice of you.”

As Delijah walked away, Alyss sat down at a table nearby and set her head on the table. I have to get it together… I am a Student Council member; I need to start acting like one. She thought.

+The conversation had been flowing smoothly, it’d been going fantastically even, for Lukas… Until these apparent intruptions threw Lukas off balance. Obviously, they were currently at work but a small bit of chat never hurt anybody? Lukas hadn’t really spoke to his fellow DisCo members, so chat like this would be great for him to insert himself into the hierarchy. In fact, these simplistic chats allowed him to notice specific traits: He was the only male member of the committee, and each member actually looked similar with dark hair and a pale complexion, that the head of the committee seemed to be something close to a rebel(due to her replies to that cyborg teacher), this Ophelia lady was fairly well trained and powerful, and- finally- that he still hadn’t come across the final member of their “Team”. That’s quite something for the first day back in Eureka. +

"Hello then, Lukas. I am Ophelia,"

"Oh, there's Delijah."

"It was great to meet you, Ophelia... But, I'd better set off and get to work myself... Excuse me..."

+With a slight nod towards Ophelia, he used this “text message” of sorts to end the conversation and continue his work. This “Delijah” must have been the final member then. As such, Lukas decided to take his leave. Of course, it wouldn’t make sense for ALL of the DisCo to monitor the door, so for Lukas to enter the party and observe from inside would be-in his personal opinion- the best course of action. With the slightest of salutes to his apparent “superior” Lukas defiantly strolled into the doorway- his emotionless face just as stony as usual. Was this a rebellious outburst? No, of course not. He had no reason to do so. Infact, this intisutive was used in the opposite manner. Lukas wished to display his usefulness- be it in a subconscious way- to her, to protect his pride. Plus, then he could become “invisible” yet again. The attention printed upon him was somewhat new and unnerving on his part. For his apparent “disgust in humanity”, Lukas does seem to display many of their traits…+

+Nevertheless, Lukas decided to think his movement as a personal responsibility, until he noticed Lyra’s own direction into the hall. Feeling somewhat foolish, Lukas sped up his walking pace into the hall, hoping to avoid an awkward moment, or bump between the two. Following his entrance into this grand hall, Lukas headed off into the gathering crowd- his moody face something of a potential spoiler for the fun event. Still, his interruptions had to be done… Although, his choice of couples in the throws of heavy-petting was just a guilty pleasure.+

“Hey, kids… Flash me your ID cards so I know who you are… “

+Lukas’s sardonic tone drenched his sentence, and from the look of the boy, it was picked up easily. Nevertheless, the two handed over their ID’s, and Lukas was on his way… This would be a long night.+

Hanzel Von Marseille

Oh-HEY!"

While the party was rather loud, Hanzel's tuned ear heard and turned to whoever was calling her, but didnt stop stuffing the cake into her mouth. Even though it was supposed to be a dance, Hanzel could hardly care for it. The food was where it was at. Who she saw was Maenardi, her dorm mate. Curious, Hanzel waved back just as enthusiastically and picked up one of the large plate of sweets she had piled up. While making her way towards Maenardi, Delijah snagged one of her fudge from Hanzel, causing both to growl at each other before she continued on. It took her slightly longer, given her lance, the large plate and her small stature, but she reached Maenardi soon, along with a rather green looking girl.

Hello Ms Reyes. Its nice you came down to the party. The food is nice, especially the snacks and sweets. Care for some?

Hanzel offered the plate to the other two before remembering she had yet to introduce herself.

Oh, silly me. I have yet to introduce myself. My name is Hanzel Adolfine Von Marseille. Im in the Arma Class and i dorm with Ms Reyes. How do you do.

Eile Mires

Hello Ms Reyes. Its nice you came down to the party. The food is nice, especially the snacks and sweets. Care for some? Oh, silly me. I have yet to introduce myself. My name is Hanzel Adolfine Von Marseille. I'm in the Arma Class and i dorm with Ms Reyes. How do you do.

Eile nodded as she looked at Hanzel. A short girl with a spear too big for her. It was amusing to watch a bit before she replied.

"I'm Eile Mires. I'm not sure what 'class' I'm in since I'm new to this place. For right now, I just placed my stuff in the tower with the word Dominus on it." Eile replied as she then saw the plate of sweets offered to her.

"I'll pass on the sweets. I'm not one for such things. So when are we going to explore the area?" Eile asked looking between the two ladies.

---Jack Mizers---

The cyborg teacher sighed for what seemed like tenth time this night. His run so far led him to students who decided to skip the dance in favor of drinking on campus. After demanding the bottle, badge and verbal response to complete a 20 page paper on the many reasons they decided to drink on the school yard instead of joining the party or just staying at their dorms, Jack felt more then ready to take a sip of the confiscated alcohol himself. He looked up to the tower and saw something on one of the windows.

"Hmm. What is that?" Jack muttered as he dialed the ear phone mic to Krells.

"Krells. I found something odd on one of the school's windows. I'm moving in to confront and possibly combat." Jack muttered as he tighten his grip on his daggers.

He ran towards the closest wall and leap onto it. Once on the wall, Jack started making his way towards the figure in the window.

"I'm coming for you shade." Jack muttered.

She never imagined that she would be glad that Lyra's message would be a positive intrusion. Most times it came at the worst of timings, ending an otherwise good attempt at socializing. Her time with Lukas was more awkward than normal. Aside from the constant avoidance of eye contact, she had pretty much memorized what he wore. Even as he took leave of her to re-enter the masses, she could still see him standing out as if he were a sore thumb. Ophelia continued staring after him until he was completely out of sight before she looked down at the text message. Reading it, she banished all thoughts about the awkwardness just moments ago.

She looked up back at the crowd. There was no explanation. Why exactly were they authorized to eliminate students now? Still, if a message like this came down from Lyra, it was probably serious. As dubious as the message seemed, it couldn't seem any worse to be eliminating students than to be eliminated by Lyra. Without much hesitation, she stopped the first student that walked by her, startling the poor boy. Going by his apologies, it seems this student won't be eliminated just yet. As soon as his card was checked, Ophelia began to stopping students near the door, beginning her mission in full force.

Delijah Fei

Being as unsteady as she was, Delijah thought something a bit more filling was in order for Alyss. Her small hand balanced a rather large plate full of meat, greens, potatoes, mash, sausage and some salad. It was a mix bag of everything and there has to be something in there that would be to her taste. Of course, in her other hand was her own plate, with rather similar food, minus half of the vegetable dishes and replaced with more mashed potatoes and meatball and the like. She was here to enjoy herself.

Here ya go Alyss. Got you some food. A bit of everything since i dont know what you like. If you have any remaining, i can clean it up for ya!

Laying the large plate in front of Alyss, Delijah got a buzz on her own phone. Frowning, she flipped open the screen and saw that it was a text from Lyra. That meant business.

Work.

Aw... well... i got some orders from up top, so i have to go off to do a job. I'll be around here nearby, so give me a shout if you need me. Sorry Ms Alyss.

With information that clear, there is no confusion. Plate down and both her weapon in hand, Delijah began her rounds, just as her colleagues are doing so as well. Several students were somewhat taken aback by the checks, but they didnt refuse. While she obeyed without hesitation, the reason for it evaded her and it was a lie if she said she wasn't curious. Perhaps she can ask Lyra the next time they regrouped.

Headmaster Krell

"There's three cargo holds empty. As if there were no students there in the first place."

"Abduction?"

"Most likely. But for what?" Krell scratched the graying stubble below his chin. "Are they trying to replicate us?"

"I doubt it." Nurse Milly's voice rang from the old radio within his pocket. "From what we've seen they can mask themselves behind human faces and human bodies. They may just want to experiment-Maybe they want to extract the powers of some of the students?"

Krells frowned hard thinking as he exited the deck of the large ship."I guess. We'll need to retrieve the students then. It would take at least a week to prepare and extraction team. If we're too late they may just end up like your dead body double."

"Ah. Keep studying the body then. I'll find Jack and the Discom leader Lyra. We'll need volunteers for an extraction team."

He left the wrecked transport ship fairly quickly. The night moon had just begun to shine bright, illuminating the school grounds. The next week would now evolve into a much more dire situation. One team of combatants would have to extract their fellow classmates, the others would have to wipe out a shade colony abduction operation. Suddenly the school year had become much busier than he had hoped.

"Lyra, Jack how is progress going?"

Phelda Stella Marx
"Well with the new students, it is better to make more well-rounded teams. This way we will know how capable our fellow student body is. In addition, making well-rounded teams would have the advantage of covering all the potential possibilities and threats that be."

Stella sighed with relief. Eliane's words were almost always wise and correct. "Fine then here's what I have in groups so far- Oh wait it's Zee."

The speech made by her fellow Stuco member was surprising. In all of her time attending EA Stella had never thought of her as a hostess. Escaflowne had come over in a much more tame outfit than Stella hoped for.

Bleh, i hate speeches.... Watcha all workin on?

"Oh just some mumbo jumbo work. I was just about to show Eliane the teams for missions I've set up. Here have a look."

She showed the two the list of names which was barely done. There were only two and a half teams so far and the layout looked somewhat oddly written in scratchy handwriting with notes by the names. The layout:

Stella's list of epic teams and such! { 'o'} -dinoaurs! rawr!

Group 1. Professor Jack(I wonder if he sees himself as naked all the time...) - Escaflowne(ninja skills! ya!) - Elie(I wonder if the carpet matches the green drapes O__O) - Maeinardi(weirdo lady)

Group 2. Eliane(Kinda scary sometimes. eeeek!) - Delijah(Such a cutie pie!) - Flick(Looks like someone familiar...hmmm) - Hanzel(or is it Hansel? Like Hansel & Gretel?)

Group 3. Myself(<3<3<3) - Ophelia( She's kinda pretty...kinda) - Lukas(Putting this hottie on my team whut whut!) - Alyss( >.>...)

"Err you guys could ignore all the scribbling and stuff. So what do you think?"

Maeinardi Reyes

Maeinardi had met two more friends to add to her roster of buddies who had come and go from the Academy through the years. She immediately took a few bits of the sweets Hanzel offered.

"Oh yay! I have to show you this one place down below the gym! It's so dark! There's this spider man. He's really nice to me all the time and he even gives me chocolates sometimes!" she managed to say with a large gulp of half chewed lemon cake.

"I'll pass on the sweets. I'm not one for such things. So when are we going to explore the area?"

"Oh we can go right now!" Maei was feeling devilish. She knew it was well past her bedtime but rules were meant to be broken. "Mopsy knows the way actually."

The rabbit puppet on her hand shifted it's arms toward a door that looked somewhat like a closet. "You want to see the spider man too Hanzel? Mopsy says this way. It looks like the entrance is closed anyways. Good going bunny!"

She walked directly in the puppet's pointing direction, not caring as she bumped into many other partygoers. The door was opened upon her first try for a tug. What lay behind it looked like a storage room full of buckets and pails and whatever else. "This passage leads to outside." she said cheerfully before disappearing through a large crack behind a shelf filled with empty bucket. "Come on through! If it gets scary you can hide in my coffin."

Lyra Scarlet
She saw the boy the second he started walking up the stairs… or trying to walk up the stairs. It was clear that he was stumbling. It was also rather clear that he had no idea what he was doing… or where he was going. He much seemed like he was simply drifting. As the boy approached her, she looked into his eyes and noticed they were empty. There wasn’t a single speck of intelligent life behind his eyes. However, she knew that she had to be sure. As he got close she placed her hand to his shoulder to stop him from entering. “I’m going to need to see some identification…”

He answered with a gurgle-like noise and tried to push himself though. Lyra wasn’t allowing it, but she couldn’t off him in front of everyone. With little effort she turned him around and started walking him in front of herself to the side of the building. The lights were dim over there, and no one seemed to be in that area. She smiled widely at the fact of it. Lyra wasn’t the type of person to just sit around and do nothing… she hated doing nothing.

Now a golden opportunity presented itself. For the first time in a while she was going to be able to get someone, on in this case, something, alone and kill it. Where she was from, she participated in assassinations, and it was something she had come to miss dearly. They continued walking a bit further to the side of the building. As they went on, the lights got dimmer and dimmer to the point where it eventually became dark. Inside the building it was loud; they wouldn’t hear a thing. With no one around to see or hear what was about to happen, she turned the thing around and had it face her again.

“This is your final chance. If you have identification or can actually manage to speak, say something now.” She grinned as she said it. Lyra knew full well that he wasn’t going to say a thing. He couldn’t… whatever he was couldn’t speak or function like a human being. That wouldn’t stop them from trying to pretend to be one though. As she looked at him he made no move whatsoever. Without waiting any longer she kicked him hard in the stomach and pushed him down onto the ground. The sound her foot made wasn’t solid. It felt and sounded as if she had just kicked something wet… something made up of something just a bit harder than liquid.

Lyra looked down at the boy in disgust. “Please tell me this isn’t going to be it. I was wanting you to at least put up a fight. Get up and do something.” Instead, the shade with human skin simply tried to get itself up in vain. “You disgust me.” She pointed a hand at him and unleashed a stream of fire from her fingertips. The Shade didn’t scream, nor did it even attempt to stop her. Suddenly, Lyra wasn’t having any fun at all. As the Shade burned to a crisp, it melted into the ground… almost as if it were never there in the first place. The only thing that remained was the smell of burned flesh. But the odds were that no one would know that smelled like and have no idea what took place there.

With a disappointed look on her face, she walked back to the front door of the party with an annoyed look on her face. As she walked back, she was quickly met by Krell, “Lyra, Jack, how is progress going?” She sighed, “The enemy is dull and boring. I’ve killed one… I would at least want them to fight back as I’m burning them to death. A scream or two would be nice… but this is just dull. None of my team members have reported back, though I’m sure they’re fine. These things don’t seem like they can put up much of a fight.”

Alyss Mithrandir
After a little while, Alyss had completely finished her meal. She hadn’t even realized she was that hungry. She wanted to thank Delijah, but she was already gone. From the sounds of it, she had something important to attend to. As she finished her plate she got up from her seat to look around. She noticed the Student Council president standing over at a distance. She probably thought Alyss an idiot… or useless… or both. However, she knew that she was going to have to go over there and face things eventually.

So she stood up and ran her hand through her red hair and slowly started approaching Stella. As she neared her, she scratched her cheek with her finger and checked to see if her tie was straight. It was. “H-Hello…”, there was a slight pause as she tried to think of something to say. “Do you need me to do anything?”
