((OOC: Japanese? For a moment, I was like wondering how familiar it sounded.))
The first few words Maya used to respond to Eluniel’s apology caught her off-guard. Those were definitely way out of her vocabulary, and it didn’t register. What really registered was the girl’s continued stare at Eluniel. It made her feel really awkward to have someone she barely knew stare at her in this manner.
“Your hair.....its a very nice bluey colour! Did you dye it? Is it a professional job or done by yourself?”
Eluniel couldn’t resist smiling. This comment was particularly rare. Back at the orphanage, it was more of a reminder to the other students that she was dangerous, and could potentially kill them. As this thought receded into the depths of her mind, she wondered about what they would be saying presently, considering the accident where she hurt another orphan.
“Thank you… I was born with hair of this color. I guess, it’s a sort of curse… A reminder…”
She sighed. Then, she realized what she had just said was totally irrelevant. However, as the realization sank in, Maya went on to comment on how her clothing seemed like something from an ‘anime’. Now, the word ‘anime’ was something Eluiniel herself have yet to come across. A look of confusion expressed itself on her face as she looked back at Maya.
It would seem, though, Maya wasn’t about to explain further what exactly an ‘anime’ is. Distracted by the possible class that she needed to attend, she went on to check what class she needed to attend, only to realize that she was still in the middle of break.
“Gomenasai! I...actually dont have a class next. I actually have a free. Sorry for bothering you two due to my carelessness.”
Once again, a word that Eluniel didn’t know about surfaced. Nevertheless, she didn’t bother to comment about it, opting to stare politely back at the girl, expressionlessly. From the corners of her eyes though, she noticed Taron looking to her. Instinctively, she looked away, to the floor, her arms crossing over each other.
