Favorite Playable Character

Cloud. Who probably the majority of people favouritise out of the characters. I just liked his change of character throughout; and I would quite frankly just kick anyone's ass with him. I also loved Tifa as well, probably because most of my female characters in RPGs are weak, but I levelled her up like a bastard. She pretty much owned.
 
Cloud.
All reasons are probably already mentioned: Awesome swords, interesting history, gravity-defying hair (lol), etc.

My favorite playable character had to be... Vincent. He was such a cool character. I mean, those guns were ferocious! Also, his backround story, although not mentioned very mcuh in the game, was extremely interesting.
 
I like Aeris and Red 13. Aeris because she was such a lovely character who met a horrid end. I knew what was going to happen before I played because I had read about it lol. But still a shock. Read 13 was just amazing because of whom he is. He is such a unique and great character.
 
Call me a wimp 'cause I love Aerith, but I used her until she
died
. She just seemed so funny and full of energy! Besides her limit breaks did come handy whenever I couldn't heal everyone.

it was Cloud, Tifa, and Cid at the end and I swear Cid was a very helpful character because he was pretty strong and his limit breaks were awesome as well. Same thing with Tifa, but I always had her on the team.
 
Tifa

For me, Tifa.
Don't know what it is, but I just loved her charcater and limits.

My party normally is Cloud,Tifa,Vincent.
Those three are my favourite characters and so it's hard pick between those three so I'm just going to go with Tifa. ^_^
 
My party was Barret, Cloud and Vincent.

Both Barret and Vincent camped in the back row and paid no long range penalty! Good times. It would have to be Barret though, straight talking and no nonsense. Although both Vincent and Cloud were cool designs and had great backstories.
 
Cloud

His Omnislash was epic to end fights and he was the coolest overall. I am kind of a Cloud fanboy, so I would say him, but he was the most useful and my favorite character. The fact that the story revolves around him helps a lot, too. :grin: He also saved me an humiliating defeat from Angel Seph with Omnislash, which put m in his debt.
 
I like Yuffie, i know she sucked, but i liked her. she was annoying and i liked that about her. she was always in my party with cloud, mostly because i had to, and Red XIII
 
For me it has to be Cloud.But how he is in the game,not the same in the movie.It was so fun in the game,like when he shruged.I really love this character,totally relate to him.Whenever he felt sad I felt sad as well.He's one of the few male characters that affect me so much,in the new games no characters can affect me.Must have been because they didn't have voices back then,but you had to read whatever was written.
Then it's Tifa.She has become my number 1 female character of all the times.I am amazed by her personality and courage.I'd always use her in my team and the first time I played the game she'd always save my ass.I had leveled up more than the rest.Although I'm sure that if I had played the game first my favorite would have become Aeris,I have a thing for pink.Both girls are wonderful though.
 
Cloud, well i mean if thats just purely ff7. Now i really got attached to zack in CC. Afterwards when i play cloud i see Zack all through him. Zack for me was, idk inspirational? Idk i just like him the best.
 
Well i guess it could apply to Crisis Core, but then not necessarily either, simply because of the fact that in Crisis Core, you only got to play as Zack. But it can apply to anybody from any of the FFVII games that there are. :D

I agree,i loved the actions he did,his victory dance and his 'don't care' shrug, when aerith died and he said those things to sephy i was like :O, it had such an effect, even though the graphics aren't like today.
 
Cloud. I enjoyed mostly his Limit Breaks (shooting meteorites? how damn cool is that?) but also his style, being a sword user and all. His personality and actions also influenced a lot.

of course we all know that these were really Zacks actions and personality right? personally i preferred Vincent Valentine i mean come on who wouldnt want to turn into a beast at will?
 
cid has to be my favorite character. his attatude to life is just makes him a legend. But Tiffa's limit makes her just class!!
 
Don't know why Aerith is'nt there but mine would have to be her and Vincent Valentine -- with Aerith you had the life and energy of the game because she always made the game that much more fun, and you always learned more about all of FFVII's story by having her like you proably wouldn't have known about Zack without her. She was also the optimistic one of the group she looked after everyone and was willing to die for her friends the girl is so sweet and kind and was always looking to the brighter future and I think she brought out the best in a LOT of the other members of AVALANCHE for instance: Tifa also learned to look toward the future just by meeting Aerith, and Cloud became more friendly and open to having friends I mean he went from taking money from little kid's scooling to forgiving others betrayals against him...So maybe I pick Aerith.:kiss:
 
Mine would have to be Aerith. I liked that she could heal ppl would materia. Her last limit break is made of win.

Zack, Cloud, and Tifa are my other favs. I dunno if Zack counts though. If we're just talking about the original FFVII.
 
I have this competition with barett and cid! I dont know who i like better,maybe barett cuz hes funny and has a big weapon(i always like big weapons),or cid cuz hes a trash talker and keeps his cool.they both remind me of cole and baird from the gears of wars series,and i heard that cole and barett were inspired by Mr.T
 
I really enjoyed playing as Cloud and as Vincent. Cloud's character design is quite cool. I love his spiky hair and his laid back personality. His weapon he used was really cool. I still can't imagine someone carrying around that sword. Its gotta weigh a heck of a lot! His limit breakers were also amazing. Loved Omnislash the most.

Vincent was my second because i have a friend thats really quite like him. He has a similar personalty to cloud where hes laid back. I really enjoyed his limit breakers. I thought it was cool how you couldnt control what he did and they were just so strong.

If Aerith
could have been used throughout the whole game and didn't die..
i'm sure she could have been extremely useful to the end. At the start she was quite good but after the first time through i didnt use her much knowing what happens later in the game and not having access to her.
