Favourite GF?

Why isn't "Doomtrain" on the list? (Maybe I'm blind) But I couldn't choose just one. I'd have to choose either Shiva, Leviathan or Bahamut. If I could just have those three, I'd be pretty satisfied.
 
Tonberry gets my vote in everything. The very concept of a tiny fish-creature-thing in a hood, carrying a knife and a lantern, is too bizarrely hilarious not to acknowledge.
 
My favourites are Shiva, Ifrit and Diablos. Each of them has really good cinematics...Shiva especially, because I find it the best version of Shiva in any FF except maybe 10

Don't know if I've replied or not but anyway. I'm replaying X at the moment and had totally forgotten about Anima. Definitely my favourite. I mean, it's a
final Aeon, potentially more powerful then Sin.
And it's not just a summon, it has a back story,
it's the villain's mother and has a whole story as to why it ended up the way it did.
Quite a sad story but just makes me really like it. None of the other summons have proper back stories like that.

Anima ain't no GF. Think you got the wrong forum, there, pardner.

(Though it is probably the coolest Aeon in X, I'll agree with that.)

Woops. Thought this was the thread in the other section. (too many of the same threads and I loose track of which one I'm on :p)

Favourite GF: Diablos, cause he's got no encounter which I use religiously everytime I play VIII :D

Personally I love Eden. His summon animation is so long, that I easily max out the boost, and do massive damage! Not only that but I think his attack animation is awesome as well, especially at the end. Not to mention that he has some pretty good abilities as well.
 
Alexander will forever by my favorite summon. His design is always so gosh darn amazing! Although I do find his overall appearance in the FFXIII to be severely lacking compared to his other appearances. >_<
 
Leviathan in VIII. I love his animation the way he creates a huge rock formation for the water to cascade down and crush the enemies below! :D

Though a close second is Eden. Purely for the fact that he's the most powerful GF and his animation is so long that you can always max out the boost.
 
Diablos looks the coolest, but the most useful was Doomtrain, I think, simply because Meltdown is one of the spells in the barrage of jerkassery it hits its opponents with! :P

And I never had enough Meltdown spells... so Doomtrain has a special place in my heart :P
 
Bahamut!

He was so hard to obtain :O The anticipation paid off, he turned out to be such a BEAST! I love his animation and the way he soars high in the sky, then displays his glorious wings. Pure awesome :D

I thought I was so cool when I got the lamp and figured out how to beat him early on - I was SOOO ready to just whip out my new bad ass summon....
Turns out its a gravity summon and was NOT as epic as the animation. Still - Best summon.
 
Unfortunately I have only used a few on that list, in my next play through I'm going to try to unlock everything. Out of the ones I've used, I'm going to have to say that Quezacoatl was my favorite, with Shiva being my second favorite.
 
I've always been a fan of Bahamut - I especially like that there's only one this time, as supposed to FFVII when there are 4! (I think...)

The battle before obtaining Bahamut is a great one as well, so it gives you a big sense of satisfaction.

I'm surprised Cactuar is so unpopular! How can people not like Cactuar?

Really the bad thing about Cactuar is that you can't get him until the end of the game.
 
Each cinematic for the GF's is glorious. Bahamut always will get my vote, however, saying that, I love using Shiva and Quezacoatl and Diablos. Quezacoatl got me through quite a few battles.
 
I agree! Quezacoatl was absolutely amazing at the start of the game, truly awesome. I loved his animation and the kind of roar he gave.

Bahamut is still my fav though :P
