[FF8] Would you like to see a remake/spinoff to this game?

If only they could remake a movie about Final Fantasy VIII, it'd be awesome.. And I doubt I'll get bored watching it over and over again.. The storyline is great, but second to Final Fantasy XII thou. Remake it into the same kind of battle system like XII..

I personally would LOVE to see a remake. But change two things :
a) Remove the Level With you crap. Makes the game too easy
b) Make the Junction a bit more.... Clear. Clearly SHOW you which magicks are the best for what type of stat. The Auto works Ok, But I love to tweek.

Yea! Me too. I could watch it all day! Although it's battle system was fine. Maybe an atb system like XIII but keep the magic option and make drawing magic less of a hassle...And making the junction system smoother would be amazing. All of that would make one awesome FFVIII game. I'd love to see the characters with updated graphics and all! It would be majorly sweet!
 
Yes and No. Yes, a remake would be a good idea though I admit, my main reasoning for 'yes' is due to sentimental reasons. No, same reasons as I've stated for No remake for FFVII. Leave it as it is.
 
Forget the remake. This game would be much better if it was redone as a movie. Same story. Way better graphics. Movie.
 
I also feel it would be better if a movie was made out of it, since the storyline is awesome and making a spinoff may damage the game or not be a great success. With the movie i'll be able to watch again and again.
 
FFVIII movie?

a friend of mine told me recently that there's been rumors of Final Fantasy VIII having a movie sequel, similar to what VII had with Advent Children. has anyone else heard this?
 
hmmm there has been speculation of a few remakes and there was a talk a while back about a sequil to final fantasy 8 but it would not surprise me one bit if it did come out and id love to see it, film or game

Anyway if they do come out with a game or movie as a remake.............YES Iw ould buy it and watch or play it.........

But the games fine as it is now nothing needs changing..........

But personally I'd rather have another FF remake movie or game.
 
I've never heard this rumour, and I doubt that this would happen. Even though I hardly remember the ending of FFVIII (other than the couple of mindfucks when it comes to the concept of Time Compression), I really don't think FFVIII really needs a sequel - let alone a movie sequel. If SE wants to invest a huge amount of money on (usually lacklustre) movies again, they may as well do another FFVII movie (seeing as FFVII is always more popular than FFVIII and will probably rake in more rewards) or simply just focus on a new game instead.
 
i would be glad to see either one or the other just to answer questions and add a little something more to the story should it be a spin off, but if they should remake it all i think they need to do is sort out the graphics a bit and put in a few voice overs. I wouldn't want anything else of the game changed or have that pafetic final fantasy 10 or 12 airship system, i missed flying the ship in those games without just click and your there. should they do a remake/prequel/sequel i would definatly buy it.
 
I personally don't think that a remake or spin-off would be exactly necessary. But if they did make something out of FFVIII, I'd be interested to see how it goes.
 
Don't think there is much that can be developed on in terms of a spin off, although I haven't played it for a while but don't think the graphics or anything need to be developed that further with current graphics just yet.
 
I would enjoy one thing and one thing only (beside the obvious remake but I'm tired of people whinning about those), it would be a prequel(?) on PSP involving none other than Laguna, Kiros and Ward. I always loved those guys and felt like what we heard (and played) of their story was too short. I mean, yes we have the big picture, but I think there is more than enough material to add some bits and parts to it and make a very enjoyable game.
 
I would have liked to have played more with Laguna. It would be great if they made a game of Laguna's story :D
 
I would love to see a PS3 edition of this game. All I would ask for tho is a graphics overhaul. No other changes. No voice overs (i don't want it to ruin what I have imagined they all sound like). I think it would look orgasmic. Or even be ballsy and go for an epicly delicous looking 3D version, that would be AWESOME!

I agree I would love to see an overhaul on graphics (that seems to be SE's specialty these days GUFAW GUFAW) but if they did this wouldn't they have to voice it? These days if a game has incredible graphics it's just assumed that they will be voiced. I myself and I'm sure other fans would prefer no voices but wouldn't that make some new FF players angry? Beautiful graphics and no voice might anger some people and god knows SE can't take another huge blow.

won't it be nice? I mean, hey, not bad having another nostalgia with this one of FF series :)
