FFF: the RP

OOC: Kate, just post a short one to wake up (6 hrs over), comment on Nine still missing and then take us out of the dome, back into the industrial yard. I'll have Ryu take over. It will also be morning by taht time.

Nine

Rattle rattle.....

Nine knew this feeling. A sense of hanging whilst a dull pain at her wrists. She was strung up. Definitely. Crude chains as well in a shabby looking basement. A low powered light bulb swung idly in the center of the room, casting eerie shadows on the wall while it flickered uncertainly. She had to say, this was definitely a job of some amateur that was trying to inflict fear torture. It may work on the more feeble minded people, but not for Nine. There were very little number of people that knew what she went through since her birth till now and even more fewer can relate to the experience. The number of these people could be counted by a single hand.

By now, Nine was unfazed by most torture threats and even if she was wrung through them, Nine was certain she would not succumb to them. Her current captor's level of organisation and threat level was abysmal. They had only taken off her most obvious weapons, but failed to take her push daggers that were in her belt and her boots, her boots itself and the throwing knives in her vest. They may as well have not even chained her up and locked her in.

With ease, both of her hands gripped onto the chain and like a gymnast, easily lifted both her legs into the air. The chain that held her was anchored to the roof at two points. Her left leg twirled around the left side of the chain, taking off more stress from her hands. As the chaines were basically next to each other, it also served to assist her aiming. With a silent schtick the right toe knife sprang out and in one swift upwards kick, Nine's right leg swung past her ear and stabbed straight into the right chain. Unlike other people's knives, Nine kept her deadly sharp and it sheared easily through the untreated chains. Now only anchored on one point, Nine twirled around and planted both feet against the wall, now holding the chain like a abseiler. Slowly, she made her way up to the anchor and planted both feet again the ceiling. With two, this would have been impossible, even with her enhanced strength. However, with one, and rusting, the anchor and the concrete it was drilled into strained and held for a few more seconds before the entire chunk of concrete came loose and Nine was free.

Now.... the door. Footsteps.... Interesting...

As the guard peered through the grill of the metal door, he saw the woman collapsed to the ground, the heavy chain splayed all over her body. He knew how heavy those things was and if it had hit her on her head, it could be serious. Without waiting, the guard rushed in and as he turned the woman over, he felt an itch at his throat. The woman was fine. However, he felt wet at his throat and reaching for it with his hand, he was met with his own blood. The woman was without her mask, and while he stared in disbelief, the last thing he saw was the beautiful face regarding him coldly... just like ice.... beautiful, but cold...

That went pretty well.

The swipe of the knife was so fast that there were no blood on the metal. Kicking up the assault rifle and the revolver from the now dead guard and taking all his ammunition Nine strutted out of the prison as if she was walking in her own house. At the guard station, she calmly walked straight behind one of the guards play cards and while his companions jumped and began grabbing for their guns, Nine blew off his head with the revolver in one hand before letting rip in close quarter with the rifle. They didn't have a chance in hell. In such tight confines, any willy nilly could have hit just about anyone. Tossing aside the revolver, Nine replaced it with a shotgun for more heavy duty fighting. There was clean up to do.

Methodically, Nine went through every room and every corridor. She had her gear to find. Blood splatters painted the walls in which she had used.

Fall back. FALL BACK! ARGH!

Get HQ online. Tell them the woman's gone beserk! What the? What happened to the light?

The entire building went dark. All the guards could see were four floating, glowing triangles and as they opened fire, it suddenly disappeared. Regardless, the remaining few guards unloaded everything. There was a moment of silence before at point blank, the shotgun's loud retort and muzzle flash lit the corridor, taking out two of the guards. The third was dealt with with a club to the head with the gun and the fourth impaled through the chest with the empty weapon. Lights flickered back on and the last guard shriveled in a corner, his weapon two meters away from him next to a table with all her gear on it. Nine, with blood flecked across her face, walked slowly to the frightened soldier and knelt right by him. Softly, she spoke.

Please tell me.... How many people were here since i came?

Noo.... dont kill me. Please....

Shhhh... just tell me.

The guard curled up even more but managed to whisper

Nrgh... just the.... President, Ms Valenxia... Dr Helmrich and his staff, Please dont kill me....

I need to know details....

Check the computer,
just leave me alone

After few more unsuccessful tried to ruse some more information out of him, Nine decided it was time to leave.

Thank you for your help.

Gearing up once more and with her mask on, Nine downloaded the entire server of the building, which wasn't more than 40 gigabytes worth of data and made her way from the building.

5 minutes passed since the crazy woman left and Dave still sat in the corner of the room.

I'm safe... im still aliv.....

As Nine walked on, the complex engulfed into a fiery explosion, shaking the ground in a large diameter. That was all the immediate loose ends tied.

Now for this President and his pose.. They have seen my face without permission. I must clean up these ends as well... oh and being the only organised group here i guess he may have a way out.

After downloading the server, Nine had rudimentary maps and it seemed like this HQ was where THEY needed to go. From where she stood, Nine could see the Dome through her now recovered Mask. It was going to be a long hike there, but with this plethora of local information, Nine was going to go ahead of Ryu and Azzie, though she will leave a lead for them to catch up to.

An alarm went off, and Azzie opened her eyes. She clumsily reached for her watch to turn it off, and realized that she was still on the floor of the huge arena.

Damn, she thought. So it wasn't all just a bad dream.

She sat up, rubbed the back of her neck, and looked at her watch again. It had been about six hours since Nine had left them, and she still hadn't returned. She'd been punctual the last time she'd left and come back, so this gave Azzie the feeling that something wasn't right. She glanced over at Ryu, who was already awake, and figured they should probably start heading out; she didn't know why "six hours" was the time Nine had given, and she was starting to worry that maybe something bad might happen if they stayed there any longer. Their experience inside this dome had been far too easy compared with everywhere else they had been.

She collected all of her things, made sure Ryu was ready to go, and then led the way back to the outer hallway, where they'd found the deserted food and clothing vendors. She didn't think any good would have come from them leaving through the door they'd used to come in; there was no way down, and those mechanical monsters might still be there. So, one of these other doors, with unknown consequences on the other side, would have to suffice.

Pushing the nearest door open with one hand, holding her rapier forward with the other, Azzie led Ryu out of the dome, and back into the industrial-looking area, which was now illuminated by the morning sunlight. Despite the dangers they had already seen there, that was the last place they had seen Nine, and if they could find any trace of her, maybe they could figure out what had happened to her. Hopefully that "trace" wouldn't be her body, but they had to know if they still had their ally out there somewhere to turn to.

"So,"
Azzie asked Ryu, turning to him at one point. "Where should we look for her first?"

OOC: Your turn for event. Ill get us moving and you can put up an incident. Ill continue the story after your event finishes while we are en route. Ill write up to jumping onto the train. Then you have full rein

Ryu

"So,where should we look for her first?"

I'd say we go and check that out first.

What Ryu was pointing out at was a crucifix that had been erected out of steel girders protruding from the ground right in front of them. It was damn hard to miss, even with the sun behind it. As if that wasn't a big enough of a sign, a large piece of wooden board had been strung up, with large words scrawled across it in what looks like mechanical fluid and grease.

To Ryu and Azzie:
Although i have managed to survive last night's ordeal, i have need to move on ahead. However, my destination should help you in finding your way home. Below at the base is a PDA i have stolen from the people i have found. The rest of my message is in there.
Ryu was impressed. Those girders looked hefty and Nine managed to wrap heavy duty cable to make the cross. Moreso that her message written with liquid most likely from the machines she broke yesterday was quite need and lengthy.

Well.... i guess that means she is alive right?

Ryu quickly scooped up the machine that was on the floor and it did not look particularly new. Ryu had not even seen one of these PDA besides in pictures. It looked like something his Dad would have used.

Let's see....... Continuing on.... there is some form of organisation that exist, but i suggest you deem them hostile. They weren't particularly friendly with me. I have stowed away on a freight train that seems to run relatively regularly from a station not too far from you to where they are stationed at. It will take you to a city where i have gone ahead. I have provided a rudimentary map which i have stolen from their Database. Get to the way point i have marked and i will meet you when you get there.... That's... vague. No choice then.

Following the PDA's direction, the duo trudged for perhaps 30- 50 minutes before they saw what they wanted. The long freight train was rolling ever so slowly, just like Nine had said. It was barely going pass walking speed and there were no guards, no nothing. The engine cab looked formidable, all grilled up and plated, but perhaps 10 carts down, Ryu saw what he wanted. A train carriage that had its door open, with a roof over its top.

Alright i'll go first.

With a deep breath, Ryu bolted from the metal bushland, straight into the open and ran full speed for the 100 meters of open land. The 12 seconds felt like nightmare, fully expecting something to attack him, but at the 13 second mark, he was pulling himself through the open door and onto the wooden floor. Seeing the carriage was clear, he waved for Azzie to go for it.

(OOC: Going to intro her second ability here, I hadn't thought about it much but I figure this would be an ok time for it to happen. Basically will be invisibility for 20min, and has been brought out by her stress, I'll try to update the bio with her details when I get a chance)
----------------------------------------------------

I'd say we go and check that out first.

Azzie followed Ryu's pointing finger, and saw a huge metal cross sticking out of the ground not far away, with a large wooden sign attached to it. There was a lengthy message scrawled upon the sign in greasy ink.

To Ryu and Azzie:

Although i have managed to survive last night's ordeal, i have need to move on ahead. However, my destination should help you in finding your way home. Below at the base is a PDA i have stolen from the people i have found. The rest of my message is in there.

Azzie chuckled a bit to herself; the woman had even taken the time to use eloquent language on an emergency message. Azzie had to admire her style.

Well.... i guess that means she is alive right?

Az glanced back at Ryu as he collected the PDA the note had mentioned from the ground. It was probably better for him to use it than her, she thought; she'd never owned one, and would probably have ended up deleting the message by mistake if she'd tried to pull it up.

Azzie frowned at the message, and Ryu's response. They really had no choice, did they? If they wanted to survive, it was best to try to stick with Nine as much as possible. However, what if she was also part of this "organization," and was just trying to lure them closer to its main headquarters? Not to mention, being on a freight train that ran a regular schedule--obviously someone would have to be on the other end to accept the shipment. And Azzie had a feeling they wouldn't like stowaways....

She sighed finally, nodding reluctantly to Ryu, and the two of them travelled for almost an hour before finding any signs of the train Nine was talking about. Ten cars down from its engine, the slow-chugging train had a compartment with an open door visible, and Ryu quickly made an attempt to get to it.

Alright i'll go first.

He ran at top speed across an uneasy area of open space between where they were standing and the train cars. Azzie watched with relief as he made it, though, and then hurried to try to get into the train car herself. She heaved herself in, looked around, and immediately wrinkled her nose. "Eew, what's that stench?" she groaned.

She looked around the train car, trying to find the source of it, and realized that there were crates and bags full of objects that seemed to be giving off a particularly bad odor. The containers weren't labeled at all, so she went up to one of the bags and lightly poked it with her finger, trying to figure out what was in it. It was a bit squishy, so she looked to a small tear that was on the side of the bag, and tried pulling it apart delicately, hoping to get a better look.

Four fingers from a human hand suddenly fell out of the bag and onto the floor in front of her, and she jumped back in horror, gaping at the dead pieces of flesh in disgust. "UGH!" she shouted, without thinking about how loudly she was talking. "What is all this? Seriously, this had to be the compartment we got stuck in--full of creepy severed body parts?" This whole ordeal was really starting to get to her; she knew she probably sounded like she had snapped, but she didn't care. "You know, I'm getting so sick of this! This world is disgusting! How did we ever end up here, anyway?!"

She sighed and shook her head, biting her lip, and ran a hand over her face, trying to hold back tears. She pulled the hand away from her face, and frowned; for some reason, she could feel her fingers being there, but she couldn't see them. Great, she thought angrily, just what I need, ANOTHER mindgame of this stupid place to screw around with my sanity. She turned to Ryu, ignoring the fact that he might think she was crazy for doing so, and limply held her hand up in a peace symbol. "Alright, you're going to have to help me with this, because I can't seem to see my own hand in front of my face now," she said wryly. She hesitated, glanced down for a moment at the rest of her body, and realized that it was seemingly invisible now too. "Or even see the rest of my body, for that matter, apparently," she went on, shrugging her shoulders. "Ryu, how many fingers am I holding up?"

------------------------------------------------
(OOC: also, I'm cutting it off here in case this ability might prove useful to us in our current situation?)

Ryu

"Eew, what's that stench?"

Now that Azzie mentioned it, there was an unbearable odour hanging in the air. Had the doors on both sides not been open, the smell probably would have overwhelmed him and make him pick another spot to hitch hike, even if that meant sitting on the roof. His friend went over to several unmarked boxes to check it out. Seeing as though there was nothing to do and that perhaps the smell isnt just bad, but could potentially be worse, Ryu got to his feet and made for Azzie. Before he took two steps, she gave a rather revolted noise.

"UGH! What is all this? Seriously, this had to be the compartment we got stuck in--full of creepy severed body parts?"

Ryu quickly got to her side and indeed, there sat a bunch of body parts that were definitely human. His throat made involuntary gagging motions, but through sheer will, Ryu somehow managed to keep it in.

"You know, I'm getting so sick of this! This world is disgusting! How did we ever end up here, anyway?!"

Ugh... I don't know... I don't KNOW.

While objectively, he should know that Azzie was probably on the verge of her sanity, as was himself, but the body parts pushed him over. He was just a high school student and there was nothing special about him. Sure he was a bit above normal physically and mentally, but he was still a normal student. The body parts keep making him have flashbacks to the scenes in Hostel, where they were taken to be burned in an incinerator. These thoughts also did not help his sanity.

"Alright, you're going to have to help me with this, because I can't seem to see my own hand in front of my face now, Or even see the rest of my body, for that matter, apparently. Ryu, how many fingers am I holding up?"

From his own messed up mind, he heard Azzie's voice, but didnt register what she said for a few seconds until h saw, or didnt see, what Azzie meant. He did a double take but he definitely could not see her.

WTF?! Where did you go Azzie?!

Through the open door, he could see the rail tracks taking a huge curve towards a city complex in the distance. It was a dot now, but they were going to get there real soon. They probably had about 10 minutes to sort our Azzies dilema.

Oh my god..... i cant see you. Jesus.... is the smell making me hallucinate? Shit.... i cant afford to be high if we are going to be sneaking around the city.
