fight for a future

Stephen flew through space and headed to the Archangel "Tribal, coming in for docking" Stephen announced before drifting into the hangar bay and docking it in it's 'slot'. Stephen disembarked from the Saviour and drifted backwards away from it, looking at it "why did i have to lose the Freedom" Stephen muttered to himself before Exiting the hangar bay and heading towards the Bridge to speak with the captain.

It didnt take long before the crane truck rumbled to life. After all, reentry did a pretty bad number on Le Cygne and Fabiola personally purged the system and did an internal burn out of the suit. They were getting nothing from it besides cheap wrecked metal. Fabiola would not have her friend cannabalised and profitted from these scavangers. Whilst lying flat on the grated storage rack, boots clambered onto the flatbed as the crane itself moved over to the Hornet and lifted it onto the truck. It seems the captain had deemed Le Cyne too wrecked for any profit, going for the nearly intact Hornet instead.

Orright boys. Teh rats did a nahsty numba oon us, buh they dead. We take der wee ship and they die in cold. We good, so let's go!

Definintely not soldiers. Too stupid and assumptious.

It was perfect. The truck rumbled to life as it made its way back to the scavangers camp. Luckily for the three, they had top grade witner wear as it took a fair while back to their base and it was dark by then.

Okie. Park da damn thing near the ammo dump and we deal wit it latar.

Another further 30 minutes of waiting and Inglesia was satisfied that they were alone. Slowly, she siddled out the dark side, where shadows were darkest and dropped out. Her rifle came up and slowly, poked her head around the corner. It was dead quiet. The only noise and real moving lights came from far out towards the west part of camp, most likely living quarters. Here, probably only a few guards. A plan formulated in her head. Quickly and quietly, Inglesia made her way back towards the other two.

Okay. Its safe to come out now. It seems luck is on our side. We are in the ammo area, on the opposite side of the Living area and the oil supplies. Here is what i thought we'd do. We save the Eurasian Federation some trouble by disposing of these guys ourselves. It's 12 oclock, so people are tired. I suggest two of us make our way towards the living quarters so we can bomb both the scavangers and their oil supply. The third will deal with the scattered lone guards here and up on the three towers. AFter that, they would repair the hornet. Since i cant fix it, ill go and bomb the living quarters. Who else will go?

The gunny piped in before Mary.

I'll deal with the guards and repair. Its more my field.

Right. We'll any suggestions Mary? We can grab explosives from the ammo dump, but when we hit the fork, i will go left to the living quarters and you'll be going right for the oil. So whatever we do, watch it. Either one of us tripping an alarm could kill the other. If we dont have anything else, let's go.

OOC: We go ourselves now. Gunny will do his perfectly. We both have one travel post to location and three post for planting the bombs and extracting back to the fork.

Mary listened to her plan carefully, and once the gunney said that he'll deal with the guards, she gave him her sniper rifle and her extra suppressor. She said quietly to him, "You're gonna need the reach to take out the guard towers."

Turning her attention to Inglesia, Mary also said, "I would also suggest we get the coordinates for this place, once we bomb this place to hell, Eurasia could come and get whatever remains from this place."

Mary was the first one to climb out from under the storage rack. Mary thought that these scavengers are morons, they have good tech but are probably the dumbest group of individuals alive.

Once out, she hid behind some barrels and waited for her companions to come out as well.

Just following the Archangel at it's pace was a bit boring, but it was not just for fun. Kira was determined to help the inhabitants fight and maybe stop the war. He wants his nation to never see this war again. He hopes to help find a way to end it. He prays that it will be so. He plans to search for ancient and powerful technologies that have been lost to the ages and to their own super-powerful nature.
His mind wanders back to it's most common thought. He must help end this war. No matter what the measures.

OOC: G mod so we can have the bombs and start the travel post. We both need to do one each. You can g mod me to the fork, then you go off towards the fuel and my next post will take me to the crew quarters.

"I would also suggest we get the coordinates for this place, once we bomb this place to hell, Eurasia could come and get whatever remains from this place."

Hm.... didn't think salvage was what Eurasia did, but Riina is in your care. After planting the bomb, we regroup back at the fork and we will hit the command post together. See if we can sneak in. The captains quarter should be there too, so we can see if we can squeeze as much info from the guy.

With trained motions, Inglesia dropped to the snow so softly that there was hardly a noise. The gunny took the sniper from Mary and before disappearing towards the towers, gave the girls a silent salute. The plan was in motion. It took less then 5 minutes for the pair to break the frosted padlock, in which Inglesia snorted in disgust while she broke it. Bombs in hand and carrying a crude silenced pistol each. God knows where they got the designs from, but from the look of the material, its recently home made. even then, it was crude and poorly made, most likely still making an audible pop when fired, but beggars cant be choosers.

Let's do this.

OOC: Yay, COD 4 reference.

it was time to go.

OOC: God-Mod alert. :argh:

Inglesia handed her some bombs and a crude silenced pistol, Mary thought, "Jesus Christ, if these are what they usually carry, they must have some weird stuff for centuries-old junk."

While the gunney was going to find and repair their ride out, Mary and Inglesia both headed to the fork, where they split up. Mary was going to plant bombs in the oil dump, which she thought was a waste of oil, considering that it could be better used for other purposes.

She had to sneak around down this hallway, avoiding to make a sound and alert anyone. Looking through the corners, she had to make sure no one was around, and luckily, it turned out to be the case. In a few moment she had reached the fuel depot.

When Zeria heard that Stephen had come in, she started racing towards the hangar bay. A few times along the way she had to stop, due to dizzy spells, and brace herself on the wall, but other than that, she made it fine. But she froze. The freedom wasn't there...there was a different suit...

"What the...?"

She looked around and didn't see him, so she wandered over to the group of workers who were starting on the repairs to the Blitz.

"Where did Tribal go?"
"I think he was headed to the Bridge to see the captain?"
"Right. Thanks. And take care of the Blitz...he's been my partner for as long as I can remember..."
"Will do, Crimson"

She departed towards the Bridge, entering...

At the fork, Inglesia gave a short nod. A sort of "good luck to you" sign. She watched Mary slinker off and disappear into the shadows before slowly doing so herself. It was easy. This was probably the most haphazardly planned based she had ever seen or infiltrated. There seems to be no camera and there were plenty of spots and gaps where she could squeeze through and avoid patrols, if there were any.

Quickly, beyond her estimation, the barracks were in sight and in perfect configuration. They were all side by side and lifted off the ground with a large sun globe where the doors were, but literally no lighting at the rear. She could pretty much do anything with just these to aspects. First of all, underneath the building. Her plans was to cave in the floor in the middle, spilling everyone towards the center, then cave in the whole building, crushing everyone. Finally, a final charge placed on the roof would, hopefully remain intact and blow up the rubble.when everything is settled. Slowly, Inglesia began shaping the charges for her relatively evil plan on mass murder.

Mary quickly took cover behind some barrels and looked around for potential targets. The first thing she saw was several larger oil tanks, which either due to her luck or their shear stupidity, was all clustered together. So one bomb would be needed to set this entire wing on the road to hell. Mary came out of hiding, and quickly move from cover to cover, eventually hiding in between the oil tanks. Carefully Mary began shaping the charges, getting ready for the explosive onslaught.

Stephen was sat on the bridge looking out over the ocean view that was out of the Archangel's viewing screen "So Captain, what do you think?" Stephen asked, it was obvious that himself and the captain were having a discussion "It's a risky mission Stephen" the captain replied "Especially with Zeria still out of action" Stephen looked at him as the Bridge entrance slid open, and Zeria Entered "we shall discuss this later cap" he announced as he stood up and hugged Zeria, "hey beautiful, how are you?" Stephen asked as he gently kissed her forehead causing the captain's face to switch to a bewildered look "what the hell is going on?" he questioned "Stephen smiled and glanced around "we're engaged" he informed the captain who stood up and shook Stephen's hand "Congratulations Tribal, Crimson"

Zeria smiled and embraced Stephen, the tenseness seeming to fade away from her body.

"I've been better...but I feel great now that you're here...I was worried..."

She blinked as the captain was confused, then giggled when he shook Stephen's hand at the engagement announcement. Still giggling, she leaned over and whispered in Stephen's ear.

"The news will be spread all over the Archangel within an hour's time...I can almost guarantee it...the captain will probably announce it..."

She laughed a bit, flinching as a jolt of pain went through her head, reminding her of her injuries. She quickly made recovery and smiled, hoping neither the captain, nor Stephen had seen that...

Stephen looked at Zeria as she winced slightly from the pain, it was so subtle the captain couldn't have noticed, but Stephen could tell everything about his fience. the captain smiled and spun around picking up the inner ship communicator "Ladies and gentle men, this is your captain speaking" Stephen automatically slapped the receiver from his hand "no" he announced "sorry Tribal" the captain announced before grabbing the comm again with a larger smirk than before "the pilots Tribal and crimson are now engaged, so hands off"

Stephen looked at the floor now quite annoyed at the captain "damnit man" Stephen announced as his fury turned to a chuckle as he looked at Zeria "well now everyone knows" he joked smirking

It took a fair while, but Inglesia had done it. The explosives has been lined in the middle and the floor support beams had been rigged to go just before the mian explosion, guaranteeing that the floor collapses inwards and that the building itself implodes. Both barracks were set up in the same fashion. Granted that there was going to be some survivors such as those on patrol, but it was good enough. Satisfied, Inglesia began crawling back out towards the dark side when she heard a drizzling.

Her ears had been overwhelmed slightly by the sudden gust of wind. She did not hear the guard taking a piss near her exit. Both stared at each other, in shock, but the trained killer was faster. Like a snake, Inglesia's hand darted out and snapped onto the man's throat and mouth. Although bigger, the fingers dug deep into the side of his throat. All that came out was muted spluttering. In one wide arcing motion, Inglesia unsheathed the guards knife swung overhead and plunged it deep into his heart. Spasm sent the limbs in jolts, but Inglesia had an iron grip. Within a few seconds, the body turned into a corpse. Undignifyingly, the guard was shoved under the barracks and the blood on the brushed aside. All was set and with equal stealth, backed out towards the fork.

By the time she had returned to the rendevous point, she saw the light go out in what appears to be the command center and CO cabin. It was good. All thats left was to wait for Mary and to sneak in.

With the explosives now set in the little unnoticeable crevice in the fuel tanks, she had set the bomb to go off by remote. Once gone off the bomb will detonate, igniting the fuel in the tank and turning them into giant bombs. This would in turn, completely destroy the entire fuel depot and barbeque anyone in this side of their base.

With that done, Mary started heading out as it started drizziling. Suddenly, someone decided to open the door and walk out. Fortunately, the guy would be alone in that room and there was no one else. Mary, seeing no where to hide, took out her knife and quickly covered the man's mouth and and thrust the knife right into the side of the neck, this was followed with a 90 degree cutting position to ensure that his vocal cords are cut. He was dragged back into the room and was put to sit on the same wall where the door was in.

Mary quickly and silently made her way to the rendezvous point where Inglesia was waiting, She whispered to her, "The bomb has been planted. So, we going to kill the leader?"

"The bomb has been planted. So, we going to kill the leader?"

A wolfish smile spread across Inglesia's face.

Kill? No, we wring him dry of anything useful, then plant explosives inches from his face with a timer.

These men were not soldiers, just carrions. The scum of the scums. Not only do they avoid service to society, they prey on soldiers and kill those that are wounded, just like what they would have done to Riina had Mary not come to her aid. Giving this man a sense of hopelessness was the very least Inglesia could do. Plus, she knew that she was a bit of a sadist.

Hence, stealth is the key. Eliminate the control room, then the commander. We will sinc the timer with the explosives at the oil supply and barracks.

Pulling out the pistol, Inglesia performed a quick head check around the corner and sidled slowly across the darkened road. There was no light, only an ambient green glow from the control center. With the wind howling as it is, unless someone was really listening for it, their silencer shouldn't be heard. With her back planted against the wall on the right of the door, Inglesia waved for Mary to come over.

OOC: You take the lead on the control room and get your coordinates for the base. ill take the lead on the interrogation.

Mary followed Inglesia, with pistol drawn and knife in hand. She knew very well how to kill silently. Mary was on her left, closest to the door knob. As the wind started to pick up, she knew that no one would be there to save them.

As this mission was going on, Mary's memories were starting to come back, memories of a similar mission she undertook, as well as memories of Riina started to surface. This put her mind at ease as she knew that this mission would be a success.

Mary opened the door and looked around, no one was around, the command center was quiet, there wasn't a sound, not even from a mouse. (OOC: Random X-Mas analogy) She signaled Inglesia to come in to interrogate the leader, while she go and acquires the coordinates.

OOC: Just a short one

BIC: Stephen looked at the captain and then at Zeria "Well, I been in my suit for the majority of the day so Im going to go and take a shower" Stephen announced before kissing Zeria on the Forehead "I'll see you back in our quarters" he then muttered before taking his leave of the bridge.

he headed down the corridor, getting patted on the back and congratulated on the way, but he just ignored it, smiled and said thanks occasionally. arriving back at his quarters, Stephen entered and turned the shower on before stripping off and climbing in.

Zeria smiled and watched Stephen go, nodding.

"I'll meet you there later"

She yawned and stretched.

"Well captain, I'm headed to follow him. Make sure whatever suit you're gonna let me pilot after I'm healed is a good one that has been well cared for. Cuz if you give me a suit that doesn't maneuver as easily as the Blitz, I'm going to upset"

With a wave, she turned and headed out of the room, trying to sneak down the halls so people wouldn't see her. She thought she was free, but then she turned too fast into the hall that led to her and Stephen's quarters, and was swarmed by a whole bunch of members.

"Congratulations!"
"Awww, it's so cute!"
"How long have you been together?!"
"What made you say yes?!"

Zeria put her hand to her head as a low throbbing started from all the noise. She couldn't get to her door either through all these people.

"Guys, can you move please? I'm trying to get to Stephen's quarters"
"Oh sure!"
"No problem!"
"All ya had to do was ask!"

She finally pushed through them, and went into Stephen's quarters. Her head was spinning by now, so she just laid down, closing her eyes and waiting...

Silently, even with all the winter gear on, Inglesia slipped in silently. It was odd that the command post was this empty, but it didnt matter. Mary would deal with their comm and radar system as well as grab coordinates and any intel from the control hub. Inglesia had the glorified duty of an interrogator. At the corridor, Inglesia slipped ahead down towards the room with light pouring out from the gaps at the door. Back planted to the wall, she tuned her ears, picking up the minute sounds that came through the wall. Snoring and music was all she heard.

Perfect....

Easing
the door slightly, it surprisingly opened without a squeak, only to be foiled with a squeaky floorboard. The commander's eyes went wide open and stared in Inglesia's direction is shock. Her gun came up and a bullet coughed out of the gun, taking him in the right shoulder before Inglesia lunged at the man, stuffing her hand into his mouth while the other clobbered him across the head. That move dropped him cold. There was silence, meaning that the small scuffle wasn't alerted by any of the guards, which was good, thankfully to the storm and the somewhat sound proof of the room. Propping her target on his swivel chair and tying all his limbs down, Inglesia proceeded to slap her victim awake.

Wake up.

He did not stir, so she grabbed the cup of coffee on the table and splashed it onto his face. That woke him up.

Mary entered the communications room. A normal person would be surprised since it was empty. But considering who they were dealing with, it was as if they were doing a favor.

Mary started off by pulling up a map on the screen, the screen showed the location of the base, which Mary put into her datapad so the Earth Alliance can grab a share.

Opening a cover, Mary saw a bunch of wires under the communication panel. Again, showing the extreme stupidity of the group, the wires were of course labeled. Using her combat knife, she simply cut the closest blue wire labeled as communication uplink, which killed all electronic short range and long range communications in the building. This was followed with cutting the yellow wire labeled radar, shutting off the radar dish.

Now it was up to Inglesia to do what she had to do.
