fight for a future

As if being shocked the commander jolted awake,his shoulder burning with pain, almost pulling him back into unconsciousness. His eyes were blurred, but he made out a rather curvaceous woman in front of him. His eyes focused suddenly and he realised his belief that the woman did not wear clothes resulted from the skin hugging snow suit she wore. Nonetheless, she was striking, but that was the least of her concerns. She appeared young, but the eyes in her head told him that what was going to happen wasn't going to be pretty.

By now, Inglesia had removed most of her other clothings bar the thermal suit. It was getting slightly stuffy and she did not want blood on her jacket.

Ah. Awake now are we? While you were napping, i so happen to come across a nifty word in your computer.

Legs crossed, Inglesia moved the screen so that he could see.

Hi-Nu. Tell me what you know?

Hah! As if i'd tell you...ugh!

A swift backhand caught the commander square on the cheek. It wasn't a female's backhand. It was that of an interrogator, much harsher, sharper and painful. Another came across his other cheek, and another, before a boot crushed into his left elbow joint, promptly crushing it. The pain burned white hot in hos body, screaming his head off, but it was no use. There were no guards, and the room and storm made sure it was almost completely muffled.

Speak.

Never....ARGH!

No more nice playing. Her heel came down from where it rested on the table, crushing into the thumb knuckle, crushing that joint.

Speak.

Augh... go to he...SHIT!

Only seven knuckles and another elbow joint later did the commander spew everything plus the password to his computer. Satisfied, Inglesia downloaded the whole computer. A good deal of porn, but sandwiched between these files were important documents and lastly, the file on Hi-Nu. It was good. She had everything.

Ugh....sob....Augh....

Thank you for your cooperation. It was most useful. For that, i will kill you swiftly, rather than letting you get blown to bits.

The silenced pistol was planted squarely on his forehead and his eyes only had enough time to cross and focus on the barrel when his head rocked back from the shot. Carrying the portable hard drive, Inglesia left the room, clothes back on as the outside was not quite as warm and went to Mary.

Target eliminated. We're good to go. You done?

Stephen climbed out of the shower, grabbing a towel he strode into the bed area, drying his hair first, he walked past Zeria and kissed her gently on the forehead, "hey beautiful" he announced as he finished drying himself off, he then slipped on a pair of track suit trousers and a sleevless T-shirt. he spun to face Zeria "hey hun, I'm gonna head to the gym for an hour, i left the shower on for you" he informed her before kissing her again and leaving towards the Gym.

Target eliminated. We're good to go. You done?

Mary nodded, then responded, "Let's get the hell out of here."

Taking the flash drive, Mary put back on her jacket, as the dark cold night of Iceland would be brutal. She wanted to tell Inglesia that she is starting to remember her time together which confirmed what she had said. But it would be in the best interest to wait until they were safe and sound.

Looking out the window, she wanted to make sure that no more people were coming out. They're too far ahead for them to die now.

As Stephen made his way to the gym, the Captain called him through the Intercom to come to the captain's Hangar bay, Stephen thought this was weird, but he complied, he had to it was the captain.

Making his way to the hangar he saw the Captain stood outside "Mr Hownam" he announced causing Stephen more confussion "why am i here cap? I thought Zeria was gettin your suit until the Blitz was repaired" Stephen announced "yes, but i figured she could use the Saviour, and you could use the suit Designed for you" Stephen squinted at the captain "all due respect sir, what the fuck are you talking abo. . ." Stephen paused a moment. every time somebody mentioned the suit designed for him, they meant one suit in particular "But Sir, it was Destroyed" this caused the Captain to smile "yes, and i had it re-built without telling you" Stephen smiled as the Captain opened the door.

Following the Captain in, the Lights came to life and beamed down on the suit, Stephen's eyes widened in shock "the Strike Freedom" he announced "X, the Strike Freedom X, its basically the same suit, but we have made the PS armour stronger, and gave it a. . .cosmetic make-over" the captain paused for a moment then smiled "well, we gave it a new paint job" he joked.

"Take her out for a spin" the captain announced, Stephen ran over to the docking area and jumped into the cockpit, he booted up the systems and Disembarked from the docking station, and then Launched, as the Phase shift armour powered up Stephen noticed a black Tribal pattern down the right arm, consistant with his own tattoo's, the same on the chest was also apparent, opening a channel to the Archangel Stephen began to speak "you gave it my tattoo's" he announced "I figured it would be more personal that way, might stop you getting it blown to kingdom come" Stephen smiled as he began flipping in the Freedom, he remembered just how much he missed it when it wasn't available.

OOC I thought you said the Freedom was dead Dead. And it seems to me that the Hunters have a fair amount of Freedoms all made and parked in their ship.

Time was of the essence. Even with the time of the night, someone was bound to come in sooner or later. Inglesia could only clean up so much of her interrogation. Mary peered over the window ledge for any incoming soldiers. With no response from her, Inglesia slipped open the door and stealthily ran out across the path and hid behind the crates. The way towards the barracks were cleared and there was no one in the direction of the Hornet. That meant that the Gnny managed to take down the tower guards without an alert.

Good...the moment we get back to the jet and regroup we lift off and blast the base.

With a hand, she signalled the all clear to her teammate.

After Mary got the all clear, she ran forward, taking cover to avoid detection. After a few moments, she joined Inglesia behind the crates. "Looks like the gunney did his job, but enough about that. Let us get out of here, Inglesia." Looking at the ship, and their only exit out of the base, Mary said, "Once we've get the ship running it will certainly signal the guards, keep them off my back as we lift off, okay?"

Stephen had enough of his moving around outside the ship when the Captain's voice came through the comm system "Tribal, return to the ship, we are going to head into space" Stephen smiled "affirmative Captain" Stephen announced before dropping down so he was close enough to the ocean to run the Freedom's hand through the water, which he did. Stephen was smiling, he wasn't in his space suit, but a Sleeveless T-shirt and jeans instead, this was one reason Stephen couldn't take the Freedom through the Atmosphere without the Archangel, he wasn't suited up and if there was an ambush or something in space and the Freedom suffered a fissure to the Freedom in the cockpit Area, his oxygen would vent from the cockpit and kill him.

Stephen approached the Archangel and zipped down the Catapult placing the Freedom into it's 'slot' Stephen then left the cockpit and headed towards the Bridge with a smirk on his face. he felt the ship begin to vibrate as it pushed through the atmosphere, Stephen placed his hand on the wall to stabilize himself as he walked. "never gets any steadier" he muttered to himself as he continued to walk.

Realising what was going on, and knowing he wanted nothing to do with it, Josh ran along the corridor towards the Destiny's launch pad. Crackling came over the intercom.
'Reaper, return to your quaters at once, you have not been give leave to access the bays'
Ignoring this oh-so-obvious statment from his C.O, Josh carried on running when he heard footsteps coming from ahead of him. Crouching as close to the ground as he could, Josh sprung up and managed to grab some pipes on the celing, pulling himself up as quickly as possible.
The guards ran directly below him and Josh snickered.
'Thank God for those gym lessons'
Dropping again he continued on his way to the Destiny, and freedom.

as Stephen moved through the corridors, Stephen felt the ship getting steadier and steadier as the ship burst out of the atmosphere and into space "yes, no more vibrating" Stephen muttered to himself as he stopped walking and began floating "gotta love the Zero G" he then added.

"Tribal" burst through the inner ship com "get to your suit, there is a Nazca class out there, we may need you" Stephen flipped around and headed back to the Hangar faster than he came from it. "DAMNIT!" he announced as he entered the changing room, pulling his space suit on rapidly, he grabbed his helmet and pulled it on, "Captain, am i Launching straight away or waiting for them to make a move?" Stephen asked with a smirk "Straight away, i don't want to take any risks" Stephen smiled "Yessir"

Reaching the Destiny's launch pad, Josh was already suited up for space flight, he jumped into the cockpit of the gundam and booted-up the system, as soon as it was ready he opened a ship-wide communication channel
'Just to let everyone aboard the ship know, unless the bay doors are opened immediately, there's gonna be a very large whole in this ship'
A private channel opened onto a small view screen in the cockpit
'Reaper' His commanding Officer said 'The Archangel is out there, if you launch do you honestly think you will be seen as anything but an enemy?'
'To be honest, I'd rather take my chances out there than take part in the mission you have planned for us' Josh said with venom in his voice 'Now open the doors before i blast them and you lose about twenty-five percent of your atmosphere'

There was a slow mechanical grinding as the doors began to open, as soon as there was enough room to manoeuvre out Josh left the Nazca class ship and entered the vastness of open space.

"TRIBAL, GET OUT THERE, THE DESTINY HAS LAUNCHED!!!!!!" the Captain's voice boomed through the com "don't have to tell me twice" Stephen announced through gritted teeth as the Freedom Launched down the Catapult, as he burst from the Launcher, his PS Armour booted up, and he headed for the Destiny.

as Stephen caught sight of the Destiny, all 8 of his DRAGOON spikes disconnected and fired a volley at the destiny, although they were more like warning shots, they would still need to be acknowledged. The Freedom flipped forward and stopped, connecting his two beam rifles into the beam cannon he pointed it at the Destiny and opened a channel "Pilot of the Destiny, you are in Earth alliance space, and as the hunters are not only mercenaries but peace keepers, i'm warning you, get back to your ship and leave, or I'll take you both down" Stephen announced, all he could think was to protect his Fience

'This is the pilot of the destiny requesting amnesty from Z.A.F.T' Josh spoke quickly, all too aware of the fact that the legend and the impulse must be nearly ready to launch ' And can I ask what gundam is pointing the beam cannon at me?' he asked sounding perhaps a little insolent, so he added ' Not to be rude, but it looks similar to the freedom, which was destroyed' feeling he had said enough, and trusting the hunters more than Z.A.F.T at the present moment in time he spun a-hundred-and-eighty degrees to face the Nazca class ship and drew his own beam cannon to point it at the hangar doors of the ship

Stephen glanced over his shoulder as the pilot of the destiny spoke, his head was running through thoughts of this being a trap and then his com sprang to life "Tribal, don't let the Destiny fall, having a Z.A.F.T pilot on board would be useful, he may have intel on Z.A.F.T's plans" Stephen looked forward again and gritted his teeth, he didn't like this, but orders were orders, no matter what his personal feelings were "affirmative Captain"

Stephen maneuvered next to the Destiny in time to see the impulse and the Legend launch "Destiny, this is the Freedom, I'm tribal, i don't care for your name, the Legend is mine, you get in my way i won't hesitate to kill you" Stephen announced before closing the comm channel, and disconnecting his two beam rifles before connecting them back to the freedom's hips and heading towards the Legend at full speed with both beam sabers drawn and activated

After receiving the communication that the Freedom was up and running and was fighting by his side Josh felt rather a lot better, after all the Freedom was almost unbeatable.

If this "Tribal" wanted the Legend that was fine by him, the Impulse wouldn't be too much of a problem, following the Freedoms lead the Destiny drew its beam sword and accelerated toward the Impulse

As Stephen went close combat with the Legend, he noticed that the Destiny had also come in close range with the Impulse, due to his lack of trust for Z.A.F.T pilots, Stephen was treating this battle as a 3Vs1 and not a 2Vs2, he was keeping nimble and avoiding attacks without countering, he was constantly trying to get a move in, but the Legend's DRAGOON spikes were making it difficult, Stephen eventually managed to get his DRAGOON spikes disconnected and into use, after around 3 volleys from his spikes, Stephen had managed to clip just enough of the Legend's right arm to cause it to explode from the socket, leaving it with only one arm.

the legend was forced to drop back and Stephen then turned his attention onto what the Destiny was doing, it was strange for him to be able to relax on the battlefield, knowing nothing would try and shoot him down.

Things were flowing smoothly. Inglesia slowly back pedalled towards the Hornet while covering their rear. There was a sudden hum and a roar later. The Hornet was never a stealthy craft. Inglesia turned on the spot, tossed the trash of a gun she was holding and flung herself into the troop compartment.
Glad you could join us girl. Lets go!

All jets kicked open, lifting the craft into the air. There was no fire from the tower, nor an alarm. The Gunny did a perfect job on the tower guards. Although they were still a bit too close, she had to detonate now in order to take out as many of the guards as possible. With no hesitation, Inglesia slammed her thumb down on the small red button and watched as a giant fireball rose from the oil supply and the barracks going up in smokes. She could almost hear small muffled cries, but that could have been her imagination.

Let's go. We seemed to have got sidetracked, but nonetheless, i got what we needed and an added bonus of taking out a small threat. I'd say it was a success.

~~~~~~~~~~
The commander sat at his chair, his eyes closed. It was a bit of a dilemma he had. He had read the report about the scavangers and appreciated that. He had already sortied a squad to clean up the mess. Now, he was wondering what he should do about the girl's second request. She had asked to be allowed another sortie with Mary. It was true that Mary was an asset if she stayed, as she was ex-hunter. However, he could tell that if he let her go on this mission, he may very well not see her come back. On the flip side, he could pull a favour card from both Hunters should he need their help.
Sigh... Well...i guess...i cant deny you your request... I am not a man that would hold someone here by force. She isn't part of us, so i guess its only right that we let her go. However. Just remember us when we are in a pinch, okay?
Thank you sir. I bid you farewell then.
Fabiola did a fist pump just outside of the office. She had managed to locate the facility that held Hi Nu from the data from the scavangers. It seem that they had begun to attempt escavate the research facility which held it. Their best bet was to sneak in, hijack the gundam before they could get to it and blast her way out. There is no other data, but it was definitely a high risk mission.
Mary, can you hear me? The commander has given the go sign. I will be going straight back to the Hunters if i succeed this mission. Get your Gundam ready and decide whether you will stay or go with me.
Hunters was a sad life
style, where friends could fight one and another in any minute. If perhaps Mary preferred living here, then she would go on the mission herself.
Mary, can you hear me? The commander has given the go sign. I will be going straight back to the Hunters if i succeed this mission. Get your Gundam ready and decide whether you will stay or go with me.
Though Mary has recovered a few of her memories back, she has not recovered all. But she felt safe with the Earth Alliance and the commander of the base. Mary was torn between staying with the people who took care of her and her mercenary friend, who through her last mission, recovered her prior memories, and confirming what she said earlier.
With that, Mary put on her flight suit, as well as got her helmet ready in case she had to go to space. Exiting her room, she looked back at her room, leaving it just as she arrived the first time she slept there. She finally left the room and headed to the hanger.
As Mary walked down the hallway, she came across the Gunnery Sargeant, "Is it true that you are leaving us?" He asked, Mary nodded then said, "I'm sorry my friend, but the commander my regards, you hear?"
"Yes, ma'am. Take care of yourself..."
Mary smiled, then continued towards the hanger, her Gundam, Airmaster Burst. The Gundam this time was equipped with a power pack, her Energy sniper rifle and Shotgun placed on magnets on top of the pack.
"Fabiola, this is Mary, Don't think you're doing this without me. We stick by each other to the bitter end, you hear?"
With that, Mary was raised by a lift to the cockpit of Airmaster Burst, she was ready to go when needed.
OOC: For hurrying sake, i'll be soloing a good deal of the next mission on foot while your character stands by behind a mountain. I'll finish my part in one large post. So this mission should be over in about 4-7 posts.
"Fabiola, this is Mary, Don't think you're doing this without me. We stick by each other to the bitter end, you hear?"
A slight smile twitched at the edge of Fabiola's lip. She was glad that Mary was coming along. Truthfully, if she was to go alone, the mission would have been deemed a high class danger mission with a high fatality rate. After all, the scavengers had been at the labs, trying to get through for a while. That should say a fair amount about its security.
Good to hear. That being said, with the reports, the damn lab is heavily fortified even after its been emptied. Security is set to its max and the scavengers have been throwing crap at it for a while with no avail. Of course, the specs between the two of us and them cant be compared.
While still briefing, Fabiola had to change out of her winter thermal suit and into a space suit. They were going to be blasting their way out once they were ready to depart, straight into space, so she needed a suit. However, Fabiola had grown fond of her winter gear and shoved it in a duffel bag, along with the rest of her ammunition and weapons.
The issue here is that Hi Nu has been in a long term hibernation mode. It might take a while to activate. The moment i begin activation, hell will break loose as everything will kick in and the base from the inside will be lit like New Years. So, during that time, when i signal you, i need you, with the Airmaster, to bust through the Scavengers Defense line and regroup with me. I will redirect the bases defense to assist you, but it'll be a bit of hell for you. Once everything is done, we'll just blast off with the Linear rail into space and blow the place up.....again.
With all the stuff she needed backed, Fabiola swung the duffel onto her back and strolled into the hangar. She saw the Airmaster, taxiing, ready to take off. The Commander had been nice enough to provide her with a small stealth jet, even though he knew it would not be returned. Throwing her stuff into the cockpit and with a last minute check, she gave the thumbs up to the gunny and the maintenance staff before closing the hatch.
Right. I'll go first......Fabiola Otori, taking off!
The stealth jet shot through the catapult and cut straight into the ice cold air.
OOC: You know the economic crisis is very bad when your stealth fighter is made of legos :P
IC:
After listening to the briefing, Mary understood what was to happen. Even with the two of them, it was still a suicide mission at best. However, if it succeeds, then Riina would have her Gundam, and the pair would be back with the rest of the Hunters, however they may be.
With Airmaster Burst on the catapult, Mary annouanced, "Mary Shelley, Calsign Empress, Launching!"
With that, The Gundam shot out of the catapult and into the cold and snowy skies, heading upward towards space. As it headed towards space, The Gundam transformed into it's Jet Mode, allowing it to keep up with Fabiola's jet as it flew to its destination.
As the destiny was locked in battle with the Impulse, Stephen was watching from a far, Stephen was quite impressed by the ability of the Destiny, and he had realized that neither suit were pulling punches, Stephen had and idea, so he connected his beam rifles together into his beam cannon, and aimed at the Nazca Class ship "goodbye" Stephen announced as he unleashed a round into the main weapon's of the Ship, after he did this, the Nazca released it's flares to signal retreat and the Impulse bailed out of the battle zone.
Stephen flipped the Freedom and headed back to the Archangel, opening a channel to the Destiny "come to the Archangel" he announced, resentment in his voice. Stephen Launched back to the Archangel and ran down the Catapult, 'parking' his suit in it's slot, he disembarked and grabbed the handgun from the cockpit and disembarked from the Freedom, waiting for the Destiny to arrive.
