Final Fantasy 15 Ideas!

I reall want the to have an old-style world............a bit like Spira............with places you can go WOW in Zanarkand Ruins and places you can live in like Bevelle.

This time instead of focusing on the graphics too much hopefully SE can concentrate more on the Story and Gameplay this time.

And a batte system where you have control over every character unlike FFXIII even though the paradigm shift was ok.

Or I'd say to save time............make a world around Gran Pulse with a few towns and villages around........along with a lot more other stuff obviously. If they change Gran pulse slightly it doesn't have to be a FFXIII spin-off.

I don't see anything wrong with them basing a world around Gran Pulse and calling it FFXV.........(but obviously witout Cocoon in the sky).

Also I want them to bring back summons to one character only unlike in FFXIII I only used Lighting's and Fang's summons only.

And more traditional summons on that one like Ifirit,Ramuh,Chocobo etc.

I would like FF to 'westernized' in the sense of there being a good plot, gameplay, customization, interaction etc. (like Dragon Age and Mass Effect) but still being able to be a good JRPG not just another Oblivion. So I wish they'd keep the elements of a JRPG but incorporate some of the elements that make up a western RPG.

I've seen FF lately trying to westernize, but they seem to be missing the point.

I don't mind turn-base so much as long as it's fun and fast paced, which is what I liked about Dragon Quest IX, but it would be nice to see real time battling or heck, they can maybe come up with their own battle system that's new and GOOD, not choppily thrown together in a attempt to be original like FFXIII.

Hopefully they'll make an amazing world rather then something that reminds me of a normal city, they make things too 'realistic' and it just doesn't feel like Final Fantasy game. If they were to stretch their minds and go completely crazy with designing a town that you would never see in modern-day society then I'd be a little more satisfied.

hmmmm..
The aeon/espers/summons have the traditional names.
All the traditional monsters /creatures including cactaurs, tonberries and moogles.
Nonhumans races ..at least one of which can be a party member.
World map.
A ship of some kind to transport the party around.
Towns, cities, villages you can enter and buy stuff..interact with the locals and stay in inns, etc etc.
Lots of side quests....some of which are optional entirely..some of which are mandatory to get crucial items.
Mutiple endings based upon your actions in the game.At least one good, one neutral and one bad...at least 3.
I like multiple endings btw.

A real bad guy who you enjoy beating at the end.Someone definitely bad.Nothing nebulous about him.

Hmm some things I'd like to see in the next FF...

~More moogles! I'd like to see them play a part in the storyline again, like 5, 6, and 9.
~Echoing others, FF5-like customization
~Since achievements seem to be a big thing in gaming nowadays, achievements! For everything from maxing out characters to finishing storyline events to small, mundane things like reading every poster and plaque
~I liked the New Game Plus idea in FFX-2. Perhaps to carry over achievements, jobs, some items, but nothing that would make a new play-through too easy.
~WORLD MAP AND MANUALLY-CONTROLLED AIRSHIP! I never understood why they couldn't make a 3-D map like in FF7-9 and then have the locations in the map really detailed like 10-13.
~I wouldn't mind if some of the party weren't human races. I also wouldn't mind if they didn't have realistic proportions.
~I'd like to see something really artsy. For example, the landscapes painted by Amano in earlier FFs brought to 3D. Something different from the past few FF titles
~A new character designer please. I think it's time to see someone else's work.
~More diverse character faces. And please, no black-haired/silver-haired villains!
~An option to turn off the music. I love FF music, but sometimes when I'm grinding, I get tired of hearing the same battle theme over and over and over again. I don't like muting the game though because I like hearing sound effects when I hit stuff. A very fluff option :3
~I want to see different types of armors change your characters appearances, if a Job system doesn't already do that.
~I want to see more strong female characters, even another lead again, and this time some weak male characters. Like, the male version of 'damsel in distress'. It would be interesting! Another ultimate female villain would be a plus
~More temporary party characters~
~More events that break up normal gameplay. Like the 2 battle scenarios in FF6 where you split into 3 parties to protect Terra and the frozen esper, the bike chase and snowboarding in FF7
~I liked the speed of FF13's battle system. I don't really have a preference for a battle system, but the speed of 13's would be very nice

All I can think of for now that I'd absolutely love to see!

Personally, I want multiple FF gameplay styles put together.

-Dissidia had the choice to play fighter style or command style. So maybe FF XV could have a choice between turn-based, ATB or fighter style.
-Limit breaks/Trances/Overdrives, Crisis Core Limit break/Power surge or even Dissidia EX Mode.
-A choice to be good or evil.
-Gilgamesh or a chocobo can be playable or at least in the party
-Uematsu music
-Tough guys and soft guys to make the tough guys stronger arranged in:
TOUGH TOUGH SOFT TOUGH SOFT SOFT TOUGH TOUGH SOFT SOFT TOUGH SOFT.
Okay maybe I'm crazy but yeah, tough and soft guys.

The First thing above all else that need to change is the battle system. I don't know about anyone else but I miss the old system so much bring back the ATB I'd even settle for the FFX system anything to get away from 12 and 13's atempts, they killed the games for me.
Next thing is the summons, I really liked the way they were done in X and even previous to that but I mean Symbol shaped summons of FF 12 and the transforming in to cars ect. of FF 13 I mean come on it's not Transformers. Also I think in 13 they were very underpowered.
I've missed being able to travel around the world map in an Airship or a boat sine IX, that needs to come back.
Basically Final Fantasy needs... needs to go back to what made it what it is, engrosing storyline, turn based battle system, summons and of course airships.
Can I see this changing in XV. Not a chance.
However I think it needs to otherwise as far as I'm conserned they should have stopped after X its been embarassing since. And if they don't save the spirt of FF in 15 then instead of Final Fantasy going down in history as one of the best gaming sieres ever made it'll be classed as failure because of a company that obviously doesn't understand what Final Fantasy means.
They should cut there losses and remake 7,8,9 and 10 again (thats a joke as they'd still mess it up)

1. Make a lovable village. It doesn't have to be a village from previous titles, but it should remind you of villages from previous titles (if necessary). Start the game off in this village... the other environments don't have to be quite as good, but that'd kind of point toward the starting village being better.

2. The game needs to be open-ended. You don't need to travel in a straight path for hours when you could have a world that's easy to go back and forth from. Give the player some freedom.

3. The cutscenes need to be real time in such a way that you can even navigate around the characters as they speak.

4. The romances need to be more interactive. Let the player decide who to go after and how much time should be spent on that relationship.

5. The battles need to be fast and intense, which also kind of means not bogging you down with too many options.

6. The storyline shouldn't spend too long trying to make a point. Long, rambling conversations can be replaced by brief action scenes.

7. The game should (only) be about 40 hours long if that's all the player wants to spend to complete it, but the game should have lots of replay value and many gameplay choices.

there is simply one think i´ll say about it... i wish it would come back to the squaresoft style... i think since it changed his names to square enix the FF games haven´t been as good as it used to be... i mean... c´mon... every FF where lengadary till FFX after that... nothing was the same again... but thats just one point of view of course :3

I agree with this. Ever since they became Square Enix their games just haven't been the same. I think that's mainly because, from what I heard anyways, they fired a lot of their staff. I didn't really like Final Fantasy X-2 as a sequel to X, I didn't care for XI because I'm not all that into MMORPGs, lost interest in XII pass the opening game play and while I liked the game play and graphics in XIII I really couldn't get behind the story much.

Mainly I'd like them to stop making MMO in their main series. If they want to have a spin off series of Final Fantasy games that are MMO then that's fine but I think games in the main series should be the usual RPG you'd expect out of them.

I'm crying out for a really good, almost post apocalyptic world. Dirty slums, poverty, shady NPCs, etc. Something like Midgar was but bigger and more expansive. It hasnt been done for 6 games now. Escape from New York meets Mad Max with magic and limit breaks.

Infact, a FF where the disaster has already happened would be great. Pick up the pieces from whatever disaster happened, preserve humanity, save the world from some corporation, preserve some treasure of great importance, whatever it is, do it now SE.

Well Fluer described everything I wanted to say. (for the most part)

So to sum it up I'll use this sentance.. "I hope they return to their roots."

I would like less future and realistic lifestyle characters. More non human characters. But at the same time not completely midevil.

Im just going to throw this average at you guys and maybe you will agree

I WANT : A final fantasy with characters like 9 or 7. A story like 7,4,3, or 9. But class specific characters, like white mages, summoners, black mages...just like the old ones and 9. A world like 7 or 8 (talking aobut expansive with variety). A battle system like 12....or at least make it an active, unlike 10. and graphics like 12 and 13. but also Interation with the basic attack weapons and summons like 8 had. Thats my average of what I would love

I haven't played all of the ff's, but here's mine

an experience system like ffxiii where everyone got the same exp and no matter what

a job system like 5

new game plus

tidus/zack like character

a villain you must hate. i want to feel hatred of him/her

a single set of characters like the ffi-ffv where you had just 4-5 characters playing

materia-esque play

visible equipment. if i equip gold armor, i want to see gold armor

world map definitely

real-time fights

original summons

i'll post more as i think about it

as long as it isnt online its fine with me. im not buying 11 till it has no fees lik ord of the rings.

Wow a lot of people want an Open-ended RPG "like Fallout 3"...
Final Fantasy.. Square Enix... please dont do that.... Please... dont...

What I like about Final Fantasy is the fact that you have a main quest and a great story line... Now thats not to say I dont want side-quest.... but to have an open-ended rpg for final fantasy.... Just don't like that idea....

ok but what I want in FFXV... sheesh to think I started with IV......

Summons=MUST! not FFXIII Summons... I want the old summons back...from Odin to Shiva Ifrit from X and back...

World map back please...not that I didnt like Final Fantasy... trust me I did...
But I loved exploring the worlds...seeing little extra things....finding an island that wasnt on the map...or a small extra cave...which leads me to my next point...

Side quest= MUST again! now I dont want like...hunts from XII which I did enjoy...but...were kinda repeditive after a while...
I want side quest that mean something to the story... or gives you a little extra feel to the game.

Secret/extra characters...maybe... Now I understand with the newer games and all the voice acting that this could be....difficult to pull out... but I really would like to have some Secret or extra characters back in the game.. like they did for VII and VI... Comon one of the best characters was a hidden character in VII..Vincent...

Open choices in characters..... like I dont want to get through half the game and have finally be able to flip out characters and put new ones in... now I didnt mind it in FFXIII but... I kinda like flipping out characters and having each one do there own thing... which is my next point

No more of this wierd XIII levling up system... I liked it at first...but then its like...there was no uniqueness to any character... I want more of a class based charcters...not saying they have to be black mages or paladins or whatever... but I want characters to have there own style of moves and spells....

Less CGI more Gameplay. Now I love CGI dont get me wrong... I like watching it... but... I wanna play more....enough said.

oh and the last thing I feel is a real must...

CHOCOBOS AND MOOGLES!! COMON!!!

I would say what they need to fix but Dark Paladin had basically stated it all. Bottom line is, don't make it like Final Fantasy XIII.

Wow, I'm actually shocked that more than half of you want this game to pretty much be westernized with changes. I think this is what makes a Final Fantasy game:

-The memorable themes that were always a tradition: The prelude, fanfare and chocobo theme.
-The traditional characters/monsters: Chocobos, Moogles, Cid, Biggs, Wedge, and all the summons and etc.
-Compared to Final Fantasy XIII, they should have some more character development and backstory, and a longer story in general.
-A villian that actually makes sense and seems like it's good where it belongs (unlike that Orphan BS from Final Fantasy XIII)
-More memorable soundtrack composed by Nobou.
-Either an overworld map, or just a more free experience.
-Some hidden goodies that you pretty much can't solve without an FAQ! :P
-At least one romance going on in the story.
-A more 'rural' experience. More running around in fields rather than futuristic, industrial-ish wastelands. But no super weird medieval steampunk stuff, I'm referring to the weird stuff they had in games like The Last Remnant and Final Fantasy XII. I just didn't like that. >.<
-No weird, unattractive races made purely from imagination. I think if they're going to put a made-up race in a Final Fantasy, the race should at least be influenced by a real life animal or something.
-A simple battle and customization system. The way the first seven or so games had really simply battle systems. No sphere grid/license crap.
-Female protagonists are nice, especially badass ones. If the protagonist is male, at least let them have some charisma and charm. Other than being a depressed, moody person who doesn't seem anywhere close to wanting to be able to save the world.

That's about all I want from Final Fantasy. :D

A large amount of this post is going to be me engaging in bitter sarcasm. Due to the limiting nature of text posts, I'll open and close my sarcasm with tags to make it nice and clear (I realize some people might actually like some of the things I'm being bitter about, but I can't help but complain, so this is the compromise).

A lot of these things have been listed by other people, but it's the unique combination of items that makes for the specific flavour of the game...

1- A main character/cast of main characters of a reasonable age. Right now, in America, the average age is something to the effect of 25-30. Speaking as someone in that age range, and who has been a teenager, screw teenagers. They are obnoxious, immature, and sure as hell not fit for any sort of world saving action. How about some protagonists that are mature adults? People that might make intelligent, rational decisions instead of wasting my precious gameplay away moping and being angsty. (SARCASM) I mean, with amazing and deep characters like Cloud, Squall, Vaan, I can see why people love young protagonists, but maybe we could try something different. (/SARCASM) Oh, wait, they were irritating, immature, and flat characters. Lets try some adults, huh?

2- (SARCASM) Nothing quite like having a rich world full of interesting and visually impressive species all around you. Of course, no one would ever want to have them in their party, so an all human party is the way to go. Thank goodness I couldn't have a Moogle in my party in FF12. Or a Bangaa. Or a Seeq. Or a Urutan Yensa. Or a Nu Mou. Or a Garif. Or a Rev. Yeah, nobody likes any of those. All human party for the win. (/SARCASM) I don't even have anything else to say. I think I made my point.

3- (SARCASM) That incredible thrill of getting an airship and getting to fly it around the world map just wasn't the best way to do things. Clearly everyone wants to spend their game slowly walking from place to place, only to get an airship so that they can get around by navigating menus. Wouldn't want to accidentally find any cool interesting side areas or optional dungeons while flying around in my super cool airship. Actually, you know what was really the best? Having one of the main characters in my party own a classy sleek airship but getting around using non-purchasable rare drops instead. That's the way to do it. Certainly better than physically controlling an airship with my own hands. Yeah (/SARCASM) Okay, doing this is just making me mad. Not sure if I'll be doing any more sarcasm.

4- One of these two things: either no voice acting at all, or complete voice acting by good voice actors. Just call Pixar and have them pick out your voice talent, that's what Ghibli does. But, if you include voice acting, please make those giant text walls of extra information obtainable if I work for it (see also bestiary in FF12) voice acted as well. Take a page from Bioshock's book, and let me listen to the cool extra information.

5- Character models that change with equipment. If you only have bracers for defense (doesn't even make sense that they'd make a difference, but we'll ignore that), that's fine, but don't give me full plate armour but only show my characters wearing their vest and slacks. A little effort, please.

6- Control. I don't mind having a linear game where the characters have already made all the choices without my input. After all, I play FF games to enjoy visual novels, so I don't have to control the characters. On the other hand, I do need to control combat, as that is the actual game. FF12 made a critical mistake in taking control of guests and espers out of my hands, and in giving me incomplete gambit setups. Give me all of the control, please, not just part. Also, from what I've heard of 13, and what I've played of 4 Heroes of Light (which I really do enjoy, but is certainly not something I'm approaching from the perspective of desiring a full scale FF game), don't take away my combat control. It's all I have after you killed airships and world maps, so please Squeenix, don't rob me of character battle control.

7- Maturity. I'd love to see a dark, gritty, mature FF game. Kill a major main character that I actually care about (not an Aerith repeat, please). We're talking about people in very intense life and death situations, so lets have a little realism and see one of them die when it really makes sense. In addition, there is an entire host of topics that FF could cover, but hides from. Just do it already. A little moral ambiguity would be fantastic. Why not hearken back to the backstory in FF3? Forget being the Warriors of Light. I want to be the Warriors of Darkness trying to return balance when the scales tip too far towards the Light.

8- The War. I'm terribly tired of hearing about that incredible war that happened in the past. The War of the Magi (6). The Wutai War (7). FF8 partly did things properly by letting me hop back as Laguna, but I still only got to see a small shard of the war going on. Baron's war for the crystals (4). Bevelle versus Real Zanarkand (10) These come to mind first, but the list is much longer. Put me in the middle of the real fight. Let me shape (either through my choices or the character's pre-set plot actions) the conflict and determine the future of the world. The conflicts in most FF games are surreal, abstract, and the average person doesn't know a lick about them. Let me be involved in something that people in the setting are aware of and care about.

9- Make summons more significant. 6 and 9 did it best, with a side mention for 4 and 8. Make them a real, vital, part of the setting and plot, instead of just super powers I can call upon.

You know, I could make this list a lot longer, but I need to stop dwelling on what the FF games could have done, or I'm going to lose my ability to enjoy them anymore (like last time, where I couldn't play FF titles for 2 years).

I want character development like FFX. Sphere grid was awesome- can essentially completely customize characters.
I want the CTB battles like FFX too.

I want all the modes of travel from 7 [boat/sub, airship, chocobo, maybe add cars like in 8] .

I want a world like 8 which is near future.

I want a huge number of NPCs to talk to, tons of quests, and lots of cities/towns like 12.

I want many characters and a cool plot twist like 6 (when world changes and you need to go get your team).

I want hidden characters like 7 & a great storyline like 7 too.
