Final Fantasy VII Remake

i think there should be a remake..
after all...not everyone plays game like we do...
we don't care about graphix just the story and game play..
but there's hell lotta people who doesn't understand the true worth of FFVII just because it's graphx wasn't good enough
i want the acknowledgement of FFVII as the best game ever all around the world so i demand a remake :|
 
I accidently voted no instead of yes. Dx I thought the question was asking if I think there will be a remake on the PS3! Anywooo~ I'd love to see a remake of the game with updated graphics and maybe a few extra things added in. It's already one of my favorite games of all time, so seeing it updated would only add to its value for me.
 
Sure, If a remake were to be made I'd buy it. I'd love to see the world of VII improved upon graphically. However, if it were to be remade I wonder if any of us would play the 1997 version again:O
 
I hope when they do the ramake(yes it will happen eventually, too much $$$$ potential) they dont make Cloud like the one from Advent Children.

I would except tha tI hadn'r played it in awhile though however I am still gonna play it. Even if the remake came into existence, I really would like that they keep a lot of the content from the original game especially the Don Corneo scenes and the sidequests. Final Fantasy XIII left a bad taste in my mouth.
 
Never, the less I see of VII the better. If any Final Fantasy should be remade it should be one of the original 6 games.
 
VII How much longer?

Ok so ive been thinking after watching the graphicical capabilty of the game for the PS3, I was just wondering how did it take them to make that?.
Sure it looked goog but if they could to that back in 2006, what could the do now in 2012.
Remake it, please bring the cast of acvent children in, that would be amazing.
 
I believe what you are really wondering is if people would want a remake or not of VII for the PS3...and we already have a thread questioning whether people would like any sort of remake stickied further up this forum. I'm just going to merge your post into that thread. (Threads merged).
 
They might make a remake but dont get your hopes up.... they cant do a remaster so they would have to take it and completely redo the game

i will say that i'm pretty sure it'll happen i don't know when but it will be so many people want it SE will do it

it would be fun seeing all the the events of the game in updated graphics and updating the story to be par with crisis core would be awesome

but if they remade it they would have to update everything even things i liked and that set the game part from it's peers will change the combat will change and the materia system will either get more complicated or dumbed down

and also they said they would have to change the story up as well... it would be like a whole new game with the same names... they say they dont have the tech to do it atm cause if they remake it now it would take them longer then they want
 
I had rather that they dont touch FF7. The one for PsX is a really good experience and i liked the character design and i dont want to see realism in FF7 (I like FF7AC but as a movie not a game) as in XIII just killed it for me.

-.- XIII was a great game... great graphics, great story, and great chars... people just compare it to others and expect the new games to be like the old... i hate that... just lower your expectations
 
I don't think Square Enix will have the time for that! Although OMG!!! It has such a good storyline and I would definitely like to see play it again with FFXIII graphics =( But I doubt they have the time. There are still Versus that needs to be done and the Eng Version of Zero Type! But then if there is a remake and a good one, I'm sure sales would be great. Square Enix should know better =( Instead of spending time making FFXIII-2 having DLC =( Make me pay more. HAHAHA
 
I would love a remake of VII, in fact I'd like a remake of FFI - VII because I can't really get into them because they're so old which is a real shame, but I've tried and I just can't seem to do it. I can play VII, but I don't enjoy it as much as the later games and I think a lot of that has to do with the way the characters look.

So you say it's a great game but only with lowered expectations? So it's not really a great game, it's only good if you go in there expecting it to be crap instead? Nobody expects the new games to be like the old, they expect the new games not to be worse than the old though and I don't think that's wrong.

I definitely wouldn't say no to seeing a re-make done. Like the OP, I would say to leave everything like the script, battle system and others alone. Just make the graphics, animation up to par with PS3's OS and more detailed music. It would really open the game up, as well as the soundtrack. It's an amazing game, and it really would suit seeing everything in HD glory. Seeing the Weapons and the ending battle in these HQ graphics would be mind-blowing.
 
I would like to see a remake of FF7, atleast graphics in about the same level as FFX.
HD I do not care of when it comes to that.
 
Even though I would love one (I dont even ask for a remake a remaster would be pretty alright) they will never do it, atleast anytime soon (and by anytime soon I mean over 7 years).
