First Final Fantasy game?

when i was in primary school i first watched my mate play final fantasy VII and even though it didnt impress me visually i was hooked on what the story had to offer. although i didn't invest in it that year, my first owned final fantasy was IX, it was for my birthday.
and i played it for hours on end, and thats when my addiction started.
since then i've been playing the different final fantasies every year and to this day i still love the series.
 
My first was VII and I was 7 years old. I watched my brother playing it and I was like "Why are they just standing in front of each other waiting to take a turn? that doesn't make any sense" lol Then I decided to pick it up and got hooked. I played all the old school titles after I beat X-2.
 
My first FF was VI. I believe I was around 9 or 10. It took me renting the game about 3 times, before I finally understood how to play a RPG. Haha..

I did play FFI on NES when I was real little, had no chance at all of understanding it though.
 
My first FF game was FFVII, which I borrowed for a couple of weeks, then had to return it. I bought FFVIII soon after that, which was the first FF game I actually owned. I consider FFVII my first though, because I did put in some good time on it while I had it at first.
 
Mine was FFVIII...and OH MY GOD was it a real show of stupid on my part...I bought the PS2 FFVIII and 2 other games...got home played to my hearts content and realised the game wouldnt save anything....why? because my dumb ass didnt by a MEMORY CARD...oh that was unfun
 
Final Fantasy IX was my first Final Fantasy. I got it for Christmas back when it first came out. The latest FF that I played was Crisis Core.
 
FFVIII, back in like 3rd or 4th grade. I still remember my ultra embarassing first play through, where I had NO IDEA what the hell drawing or junctioning was.

Imagine reaching the end of the first disk WITHOUT EVER USING MAGIC, BY ACCIDENT.

Final Fantasy VII.

Played it at my Uncle's as he had a PlayStation and FFVII, had no idea what to do, and the Materia System made zero sense to me, you have to understand I was only aged 7 at the time, so this game was drastically different to any other I was used to playing. I liked it though, and here I am today :)
 
FFVIII. I first started playing this back in 7th grade. My choices were between VII and VIII at the time but I went with VIII because I thought the game was longer being 4 discs compared to FFVII's 3 discs.

Most recently new FF game I played was FFXIII though that shouldn't be a surprise.
 
my first FF was FFVII. i fell in love with it! i used to get up hours early for school so i could play it :). it took me a million goes before i beat the scorpion boss but after that i was hooked! it started my life long love affair with final fantasy. latest is FFXIII.
 
Final Fantasy, the original US release for NES way back in... 1989 I think. Was only 9 at the time, but quickly got absorbed in the game, as well as the first Dragon Warrior. Let me say though, the NES FF was one hard game.. and also unfortunately kind of grindy as far as money was concerned. It was fun though :).

The PS remake on Anthologies was very well done, even if it was much easier no matter the difficulty mode.

Latest FF I've played is XIII... and I'm not really into it sadly. I keep trying to push myself through it, because I do like the characters, and the story is interesting... but that's the problem, I'm 'pushing' myself through it, not enjoying the game, only the story.

SE still makes other good games, but I've pretty much given up on the single player FF's (still have hope that XIV will be better then XI). Following the FF spirit to it's new home in Mistwalker and eagerly awaiting Last Story :).
 
FFVIII at the turn of the Century. This was like the hell "man" ,it has flying dragons and fire demons Exotic weapons Cool Characters. And that was just the demo disc I got in 1998!
this was first RPG I ever played as I was more active in the kid and was hooked on FF from then on and soon acquired FFVII and thats how my FF Story Started.....a destiny odyssey if you will lol
 
my first final fantasy was nr. VII :) and i enjoyed it. afterwards i played 1,2,3 before i camt to my favourite one.. FF VIII :)
 
First was FFVIII
Then IX
Then I backtracked to the old ones while waiting for FFX :3
 
My first game was FFX. That was the best game i ever played. After i first played that i went a little crazy with getting and playing every FF game that i could get my hands on:wacky:

Mine was FF VI (III Snes), but it was the second RPG I played, next to Chrono Trigger.
I started playing it via renting. I actually purchased a copy like a year later I think.

Those two games started my interest in role playing games - even if non video games. It influenced me to try stuff like Magic The Gathering, Pokemon, and Board games like Warhammer and later Heroclix...



 
first one i played was ffIX which my brother decided to buy one day an found myself getting so wrapped up in the storyline. got to necron got stuck an came back later after playing 7 and 8 to beat him an get that beautiful ending.

newest one is 13, still playing around on pulse now :) but finished the storyline
