Gabranth in Dissidia

I figured as many threads on Dissidia are mid conversation discussing other things, I'd best make this as a new thread.

Judge Gabranth has been confirmed, via screenshot, as a character appearing in Final Fantasy: Dissidia.

He is seen opposing FF11's Shantotto, in the presence of Cosmos.. So perhaps that means that there will be no FF11 villain, and perhaps no FF12 hero, and that these two may be opposing each other?

Either way, while its good that they're including another character, I'm a little annoyed that it is another horned knight. We already have Garland who looks exactly like him... Sort of...

I would lvoe to See judge Gabranth in Dissidia as it he is one of my favorite FF Villains of all time, right up there with the man Sephiroth himself. (also included in my list are Kuja and Kadaj)
 
Suffice to say, I'm pleasantly surprised that Dissidia now includes XII. Irrespective of any kind of input, I've essentially already bought this game. :wacky:

It raises questions as to who his opposing hero might be, or if he's an NPC, or if Vayne will be in the game.

Well now I can't help but wonder if there will be a hero from FFXII. But it is certainly good to see that they have included Gabranth and haven't completely neglected XII.
 
I'm glad they're including FF12, and another character. I just wish it were Balthier more than Gabranth. Judge Gabranth is good as well, but I think he may clash, appearance-wise, with Garland and Golbez in this game.

But not to matter, it'll be good to see him in this too. The more the better I say :D.
 
Very glad to see the FF12 inclusion, though I am slightly eh at the fact that it's another horned knight type character. Oh well. I doubt they're going to have a hero/villain from FF11+12 now because the two sides are balanced.

If Shantotto had a story mode (probably not, at this point), it'd be quite... amusing to say the least, to see Gabranth's reaction to losing to her in battle :P
 
Hopefully you can play the guy... and he's not just an NPC or walk on character. In fact, I'm hoping there aren't a lot of those characters in general. It would truly disappoint.

That would be Square being dirty rotten teases. Adding someone super cool only to have them unplayable would be LAME. If they do have alot of NPCs I'm hoping they're nothing more than cameos, it'd kind of suck to have them appear in storymode and not have them playable.

I'm pretty sure Gabranth is playable though. It balances out the Cosmos/Chaos sides and fits it with the whole "12 Worlds" concept in the tagline. He'll probably just be unlockable like all the others villains.
 
Oh nice Gabranth confirmed but would have Vayne been better. Yeah and I still think that there will be some secret characters and yeah Gabranth is awesome but what will he do what will be his ex mode? Yeah and ffxi vs ffxii wth Of course there will be a ffxii hero.
 
Well yeah it will be Basch or Ashe because there very popular ffxii characters seeing as I only like Vaan a little. I really hope it is Ashe though. I want that Sexy Princess in lol. Basch would be awesome also or Balthier just not Vaan.
 
Exactly as I tought.

They also wanted to either Noctis or Lighting entered the cast, but that would spoil their skills, personality, a little of their story and whatnot. I'm affraid there won't be opposite characters. Just like Wikia mentions to unlock the TRUE ending, you must complete the game with the 20 Main Heroes and Villains. The others are pretty much optional characters.

WOW to that trailer! Good to see a more complete set of sequences of the big battle cgi we have seen in the past. Seeing most of the character we hadn't seen in cgi taking each other on, and then seeing them charge at each other at the end of the trailer is purely fantastical. :D

Also, lol at Zidane dive rolling Garland to the ground. :P

Is it just me though, or the quality of that vid, or has Zidane and Kuja's voice changed? They didn't sound anywhere near as childish as they did in previous trailers, whereas the other cast all sounded the same as they had done in other trailers, so may be more than just the quality of the vid.

Does this make Shantotto and Gabranth secret characters? Who do you think the secret characters if there is any will? I just hope some more Chicks get in like Rosa or Rydia or if possible Yuna.

It would appear that that is the case.

Shantotto is optional. She only appears if you do certain things in the game, and I guess the same will be true of Gabranth.
This might well be it I think fo secret characters. If they add more, then ace, but one for each side seems like it may stick.

Rydia and Yuna have no chance. They are summoners, and in Dissidia everyone is a summoner. So pretty pointless for them to be in.
 
Argor You did not have to be that mean that they have no chance and also Gabranth looks really cool in his new design I think he will be my main villian. Yeah and is there any chance for others because am getting the game on thursday.
