Goofy after Demyx

How many of you thought that goofy died after the battle against Demyx in Hollow Bastion? I was about to cry! I was like Sora: "This can't be happening, this isn't happening." That was the saddest moment yet. I love what Donald said: "I'm sorry about the ice cream." what did you think?
 
Heh, that Donald line was touching, as was there impending rage towards the enemy. But... I really didn't think they'd kill off a pivotal character to the game. Especially being a kiddie game, it wasn't very likely.

I wouldn't have minded if he died though. >.>
 
heh, same here, but when he returned, y'know before the 1000 heartless battle, I was so sure he was a fake, it would have been cool like that, y'know get to fight goofy and then the real one comes and kicks ass!
 
I gasped when he was hit and thrown back like that. I thought for sure he was dead. After going through the bailey and the FF characters helping you fight the heartless, I was so pissed because I thought they had killed off goofy that I kicked ass and took names later. When Sora was on his knees, saying "This can't be happening! This isn't happening!" I was a little choked up, but was extremely happy to see he had returned before the battle of 1000 Heartless ^_^
 
when i saw that i actually thought holy shit, that can't happen... i mean, can a such a major character like that actually die? and also it was a animal type character... so i shouldn't be able to die... but yeah i know what you mean about it being sad, and also donald's reaction, was kinda sad as well, so yeah i agree with you there guys
 
It was very convincing, I must admit. But no one checked for a pulse or even listened to see if he was breathing :P I was expecting him to stay dead after that and for Mickey to take his place or, at the very least, have Mickey helping you in battle.
 
First of all, it's Disney so I knew he wasn't going to die. Besides, Kingdom Hearts really isn't the game to kill off one of the lead characters. I will admit that it was very well played out.
 
It was played out, but I was surprised by his quick return back to the party to be honest though.

At least he had a plot purpose you know?
 
Oh yea when I thought they had killed Goofy off I promised myself I would never get hit by another enemy again. And I normally get the chance to keep my promises.

Once Goofy got back up I was relieved. But then the next few battles I had noone could touch me cause I had some anger to work out.
 
I knew he wouldn't be killed, but they really knew how to play the suspension. I was really starting to get suckered for a second or two. It's a little underwhelming when he rejoins the party without a scratch.
 
This was...actually a very well-executed scene. I must admit, throughout the following battles with the Final Fantasy characters as partners, I had my suspicions. They really did make it seem like Goofy had bit the big one, and I was a bit shocked, myself. I mean, yeah, I didn't feel as impacted as I did when Aerith died in FF7 or during the opera scene in FF6, but I pretty much grew up watching Disney cartoons, so...seeing one killed was a bit surprising. Still, around the time when Squall arrived to help out, I realized that, in Kingdom Hearts, people have a tendency to, just as an example, get hit with swords and react as if they had been hit with a blunt object (i.e. no cuts). Obviously, this game doesn't handle injury realistically. Once I took into consideration that Goofy had been a main character since the first couple hours of KH1, I realized that he was going to come back in due time. Of course, given the epic nature of the Heartless War itself, it wouldn't have surprised me if they'd kept him dead.
 
I was shocked, but due to me having a bit of a clue that Goofy wasn't dead, i wasn't as shocked as when they killed Aerith...but if he did stay dead...then yeah, i would of reacted to it the same way i reacted to Aerith's death...
 
I definitly thought he was dead and it frightned me alot lol. I was like oh no Goofy's Dead! But then i was like who cares its Goofy :D. But im pretty sure that they wouldnt kill off a disney character in Kingdom Hearts. I thought of that so i was like ya hes going to get up and he did :D
 
I didn't like Goofy anyway and I knew that he won't die. But I did have some doubts. I started thinking about how much it could effect the battle system.
 
When I saw it, I thought, he can't die it's Disney, and I mean, in KH people get hit by big rocks all the time, if Pooh bear can survive getting hit by a rock, (It happens in a minigame) Ithink Goofy, a main character can survive it.

'Sides, as Goofy said...

"Gawrsh guys, I get hit on the head all the time."

Lol, gotta love that Goofy.
 
It was quite surprising when this happened. I was lke "Oh noez! Not goofy!?" Then I was thinking who would replace him. XD.

But when he came back, I was quite relieved and happeh once again.

They made that shit seem so real too. Haha.
 
I was pretty stunned when Goofy got knocked out, I too thought that he'd been killed..

"O_O Would they actually kill a Disney character..? Would Disney LET THEM kill him?! GAH!!"
