Playstation Grand Theft Auto IV

I was hoping the next GTA game would be set in London like with the expansion to GTA. Oh well, I'll be buying the special edition for PS3 when it comes out. Still think that Vice City is my favourite of the GTAs though.
 
The only GTA i ever liked, was San Andreas. It was the only in which i really care about the character.

I hope that this one, makes me care about the character too as i do for C.J.
 
Yes, looking foward to this game, alas, I do not have the PS3 and refuse to get a 360. To me, shooting games belong on the PC, so, have we any release dates for PC, or not?

...and the multiplayer looks awesome as well, though I doubted how they would do it at first sinced GTA and multiplayer did sound if it would go well together.
But, I've got my preordered :monster:

Well, the multiplayer option wasn't that bad on SA. I used to play with a cousin, take a car and get fun getting around on the city and messing with enemies bands.

It was a good idea, but not as good performed; this time it seems to be much better than that.
 
I cant wait to get this game. Seeing as it's me, I'll probably just get cheat codes and go on a killing spree :neomon:
 
I didn't like GTA very much, but my fav one of them was Vice City for some reason I didn't like Sanandreas especially the airplane missions :monster:
 
i pre-ordered, but since the launch day pre-orders were taken, i don't get my copy til the 2nd May.
 
I'm hearing that multiplayer will support up to 16 players and be played free-roaming in the city.

Is that true? It'd be awesome if it was. That'd be a huge step up from the multiplayer in San Andreas...which sucked fat balls, in my most humble opinion.
 
My boyfriend and I are really hyped for GTA IV. I can't wait to play, it's suppose to take place in NYC! XD I already got three reviews: 10, 10, and 9.5. I already have my copied reserved.

I heard the Xbox 360 version will have two exclusive downloadable packs which will be two episodes.
 
Whoaaaa...Cops N Crooks sounds like an awesome game mode. The multiplayer is sounding good. I hope the city is fully accessible during these matches.
 
Unfortunately, I was too late to get a pre-order at woolworths. Might try somewhere else at the last minute, but heck, it isn't a race to play it, though I can't wait to get my hands on it. :neomon:

Apparently the new LC's going to be the biggest individual city in GTA, though not quite as big as San Andreas.
 
I've still got one of my pals 360 which he left the flat last year, I'm really tempted to get the game when I'm able to play it.

As for the size it won't be the same size as in SA which shouldn't be too big an issue. The amount of detail that is in it will more than make up for it for me personally and the size of SA was kinda of one of my problems with it anyway.

But it has been hinted at apparently in some places that the DLC that is exclusive to the 360 will actually be whole cities rather than new cars and shit. I have some doubts about that although if true it makes that $50 million MS paid for the exclusive DLC look more reasonable. It would be very awesome anyway.
 
I preordered mine from Play ...only when me and a mate did it we did so when there was a mistake on the site (albeit we didn't know at the time) so we managed to get it for £35.99 :monster:

But I agree I though San Andreas was overly too large, especially when it took like 10 minutes to travel from I side of the map to the other...even in an RAF Jet :wacky:
 
i hope they make the next game set in London... going *back* to VC would just start to make the series bore a little. or maybe Tokyo...
 
Basing a new game in Tokyo or a new City entirely would be pretty sweet and would make a nice change, not too sure with another London game though. I'm fine with IV having the game based in Liberty City since it's the new generation but if they went back to Vice City (even though it was my favourite) or San Andreas then that would sorta look lazy to me.
 
Online play is supposed to be AMAZING according to IGN especially since that the whole of liberty city is open...and it got the perfect 10 from IGN (the first game in like a decade to do so)...I doubt I'll play it much during my exams, but afterwards New York look out!
 
Picking mine up tomorrow along with a duffle bag, safety deposit box and some art book that comes with it... stokes about that, cant wait. Reviews have been good for the game so far.
 
Yei! I'll get mine tomorrow and i get my 2-week vacations on Thursday! I'll have some spare time on the next day to play it!
