Heroes

I've only watched the first couple of episodes of the new seires, and missed a few off the end of the 2nd....I'm so lame :\

Heroes - TV Show

I've never watched this show with the exception of the last week. I've been watching the series from the beginning over Netflix... since the beginning of last week. I'm about halfway through the third Season. It's not a great show.

It has a lot of potential but the writing is pretty poor, the writer's strike in the middle of the last two seasons didn't help, and there are a lot of unnecessary characters. The first season wasn't bad but it wasn't good. I think the premise for Season 2 was actually much better but it was never fleshed out due to the deletion of the "Exodus" plot arc... and Season 3 has flat out turned into some goth fag's wet dream as every good character is suppose to be hardcore and apathetic about everything, while every bad character has turn limp wristed.

My two suggestions that would have made the entire show better:

1.) Delete unnecessary characters. Ali Larter's character(s) are useless. Delete them. Maya and her mexican brother need to have never existed. Focus only on characters who affect the main story arcs... don't have these side subplots that don't affect anything.

2.) They should have stuck to superpowers that can actually be explained through genetics. Fire power, super strength, ESP, muscle mimickry, rapid regeneration, any of those are fine but time traveling, flying, and telekenesis are right out. My third suggestion would have been to delete all the future alternate timelines... but it would be taken care of with this suggestion.

They were actually VERY important characters to the main story. The writers strike is what effected that. Maya was to be the one who stops the virus because of her own powers. The other copycat girl was going to fight knox.

They already are stopping the timeline thing. It is what most of season 3 was built up to do. Kring said he does not want the time travel ability to be used again. And they have done so.

YEa, I just finished Season 3. I'm glad they stopped all the time travel shit, even if it ended on a highly retarded note. Running faster than the speed of light to go forward in time... that doesn't even make sense theoretically.

I still don't like seeing side characters come into the story. There is so little character development on some of those people that its ridiculous. I still laugh at the girl whose power was to see the history of any object she touched. She was introduced for all of 2 seconds before Sylar killed her. haha n00b

Yeah that whole running faster then the speed of light thing STILL makes me mad. And what makes it worse is the fact that so many people go along with it and believe that it could work. How can she go back in time and forward in time by running fast? Some keep saying that she went into the future by running just a bit slower....that would mean she just went back in time a bit slower.

Lol... You really despise Goths don't you?
But I know a few Goths, and they actually hate the way this is going now. Doesn't have any deepness to it, it's just falling apart. It's a bit of a car crash.

I think the problem with the 3rd season is that they've tried to introduce too many concepts at the same time. Also, they've never really been true to their own characters, with Mohinder changing every season, and most characters in this new season seem to change stances nearly every week.

I really liked Season 2... But it did terribly, and now they seem to be on a goal to kill off everything abotu Season 2... All the characters introduced in it are dead or forgotten. Which sucks because characters like Adam Monroe were really good, and deserved to stay in the series.

I think they'r trying too hard to wow the audience with lots of events turning around and changing at every second. But it's just not consistent at all, and it's all coming out a bit of a mess.

One of the things I did like though, while minor characters in it for a short time, were the puppet master and the man who creates vortexes, I thought they were pretty good, and deserved to be in it longer... Oh, and Matt Parkman's turtle. He is the most consistent character on that show right now! :P

Well there are just general loopholes in the plot too. For instance, Arthur Petrelli wasn't interested in the formula until the modern day era... and yet he somehow knew the importance of acquiring it 16 years before he was ever interested in it. It's just stupid.

And Nathan is another example of a character that has been changing sides far too often for no fucking reason. The entire 3rd episode he was supportive of his brother and keeping on the path of righteousness... then at the end he has some stupid argument with Peter about his inability to use MapQuest and then he joins his father's evil empire. It's pretty tarded.

Also, I'm really hating that Sylar is now invincible... pretty much because he's a tool that needs to die.

Yeah. I think they've ran their course with all they can do with Sylar. He was great in Season 1, but they need to move on and find a new villain. Bringing Sylar back, making him good, and then bad again, and then good, and then immortal and then bad again is not good.

They won't move on though. In fact most of the next volume surrounds Sylar ie. He will be the main character. He actually gets two entire episodes to himself.

I don't know what they're obsession with him is. The guy was necessary in Season 1 but I never thought he was good. The entire season built up to his death... and then they let him live, making it entirely pointless. In Season 2 all he did was take a roadtrip from Mexico to NYC. I can't believe they let him live just for that...

Anyone know when the second half of Season 3 is hitting UK screens again? I keep looking for any dates on the net, but no luck so far. On the other hand just to keep on topic, I'm really impressed by the latest season! It's a huge improvement from the second one and almost matches the first one.

However, we still need to see at least another twelve episodes. Fugitives - what do you think is going to happen? I know we saw the little preview with Nathan in the car with you-know-who, but still ...

I'm aware that the third season had just started up again in the U.S?

OMG. I've just seen a preview behind the scenes and it looks like it's about to get SO much better!
The heroes are rounded up, put on a plane and have masks on!

>.> I do hope the 3rd Season will be better. I missed the premiere last night (along with another fucking new episode of House >.< ) but I heard good things from those who did watch it. I'm not sure that planes and gas masks are enough to really get my panties wet but hopefully the writing as a whole is much more close nit than it has been in recent seasons.

I read that post like a crack head, or somebody on speed talking to fast for their mouth. :P

Any predictions on who texted Claire? A lot of people apparently think it is Micah, simply because of the speed in which she received each text. But I am hoping it is either Noah trying to text her, or the Hunter trying to catch her. If not somebody we already know, then hopefully it is her new 'boyfriend' in which we see in the trailers for this season.

We know the rest of the heroes on the run through out their cell phones.

Micah immediately sprang to mind. They met briefly during the end of the first season, didn't they? I don't think that
Noah is doing it because of the last episode, "Building 26" in which we see him on to her.
However, you might be on to something with
the Hunter because he seems so determined to bring her down.

Also, he isn't her new boyfriend yet. Or at least we know that because
she met him in the comic book store since he was a target and since his ability is to breathe underwater, so it's out of the question to be honest.

This third season, it's got me on my toes really. It's surprising me so much, such as
Tracy killing that man in front of her friend, Peter and the others drugging Noah, Noah finally getting kicked out of the house, etc.
All of this just makes me wonder if
West is going to make a reappearance, considering all the heroes are being hunted down.

Also,
do you all really think Daphne's dead?
I was beginning to like her as well!

spoilers

we know Daphne isn't dead...in fact she is on tonight's episode. Also Claire is making out with the dude under water..

I stumbled across some deleted scenes from Villains and have put them up on my YouTube channel. Check them out if you will!

3x01 The Second Coming [Deleted Scene]
3x04 I Am Become Death [Deleted Scene]

The first scene, which makes me laugh and feel sorry at the same time, involves Sylar and Mr Muggles. Whereas the second one is an alternative, shorter way of Noah Gray dying and Sylar exploding.

Anyone watch the season 4 premiere this week? I did and I have to say that I really think that this is the season that is going to bring Heroes back into the limelight. The last few seasons have been kinda dull on the whole storyline, just a little to predictable for my tastes.

So those of you who watched it what did you think?
