Lol, they're running out of ideas, perhaps? Or maybe their ideas dealing with names just plain stink? Or maybe they're doing it on purpose? Who knows?! :blink:

How do you pronounce Tidus? is it "Tee-duss" or "Tie-duss"? I think "Tee-duss" sounds a bit lame.
 
I've read in wikipedia before his name is "Dergeree". but it must be a vandalism. I just hope it wouldn't be his name anyway.

yeah like Terra, Celes, Cecil, Sabin. I like those names. The new FF3 names sound cool too.

His jap name reads "Tiida". I'm not sure but I think it's Tee-duss. Yeah it sounds a bit lame.

whats wrong with SE they cant come up with good names good stories or good charater designs
 
I wish they would bring back the ability to name your characters by yourself...
Like...In FFX, Tidus was the only character you could name because his name is never spoken...
I'd rather have the names not be spoken, and keep the ability to change them. =x
 
FFXIII's main character... Storm? WtF Dergree? What? His name is Pedigree. lololol .... anyway

It hasn't been revealed yet... atleast not officially so this discussion is irrelevant (unless im proven wrong right now).
 
have you guys ever thought that this guy would have a referrence to the other final fantasy's? cuase if you look at the logo you'd notice that he looks like a caracter from the previous ones...and when he summons those random weapons...dont you think that there is another impportant character in the ff series who wields that many swords?
 
okai fine no more hints...as evidence shows...he is a wielder of many swords...and the logo of versus looks like a lone warrior in drapes right...ever thought this may be 'Gilgamesh'? its just a thought...but i need feed back people...i need someone wo discuss this with hahaha =P

wait scratch the logo part just realized that the logo is a girl hahahaha

Gilgamesh seems to fit him, but i think they should name him Bob.​
 
hgahahaha probably...what if it was someone else story...i still like the gilgamesh name though...it could be him...but oh well
 
Uncreative? Cmon, they look out their front window for names, for crying out loud.. how can you run out of ideas that way? I bet, one day some guy from square, went out on his porch and looked at the sky "Hm.. Clouds." And then he saw that it was a rain cloud. "Hmm.. Squall." and then he heard the thunder.. "Yeah.. lightning.." and that's when he saw the lady walking her great dane. "Oh! Zidane." Yeah.. lol.. We can't expect much from the name department.
 
I was going to say something like that on my previous post. He does remind me of Gilgamesh (mainly the one from Fate/Stay Night). But it would be nice if Gilgamesh was for once, the main character of a FF series, instead of making cameo appearances in his old dirty outfit.
