i wandered into an area to high level and got battered by a bear, and then when i went back for more, got battered by the same bear, repeat this several times with bears and bulldogs til Tom had to come rescue me on his rocket because Im an idiot and was insisiting on killing at least one thing to mend my dented pride

The final boss in Xenoblade keeps killing me. I am absolutely FURIOUS about this, because I am positive I could beat him if he didn't cheat and summon two helpers who then buttrape me. I levelled up a couple of levels and beat his first form without too many problems, but now I'm stuck on his second form, because he summons helpers not once, but twice, and all of his attacks except one cannot be blocked by Monado Shield, and naked Dunban's ridiculous agility can't quite avoid them.

He's killed me eleven times now, usually with an unblockable super move. Grinding myself up to level 80 right now, and then I'll try again...if that fails, 85. If that fails, 90. People saying they killed him at level 77 are bullshitting.

I was playing that old classic GoldenEye 007 for the N64 and was in the Bunker stage. I purposefully set off the alarms by wandering around like a goon in front of the security cameras in order to set off the alarms and have unlimited soldiers rush at me. Basically, my buddy and I do this to see how long we can last before the overwhelming odds finally crush us. I had Bond run, I had him blast away, but finally after like twenty minutes I got a bit bored with it all and allowed him to be taken out in the control room.

M would be so disappointed.

I was playing Star Ocean and it was a pretty big epic fail on my party, I had a gutsy bunny equipped which raises exp points and makes enemys alot harder, so im at moonbase and get into fight with one of the big mech enemys with a low level character in my party and she died in one hit, i tried to revive her and i kept getting hit and interrupted, my second party died and then in only 3 hits i died right then and their.... it sucked x.x

FF13 - Fighting manasvin warmech, chapter 3 Lake Bresha. Havent played the game in awhile so I was reading the guide. It said to Para to diversity before its crystal rain w/e attack ( COM, RAV, MED) and instant game over. Fukin guides wrong. Suppose to have a Sent in there.... but I knew that =)

Cathrine- This games hard. Its a romantic/horror/puzzle game. On clock tower level 1 and 2. I died probly 20 times before I hit the top on normal difficulty. Death by spikes, Death by falling blocks, Death by blocks falling into void, Death by pushing the wrong directional key during hang....

:wacky: ....:lew:

So my last death...was actually the last of many last night when Al, Jeff and I were playing Dead Island last night. I asked them if we could play the game from my save point but I had to join Al's game where the zombies are like lvl 22 and my character is only level 12, so whenever Al ran off without me I was left to be ambushed by many high level zombies and so I died a lot. Thankfully Jeff later joined and I started dying a bit less :lew:

I think my actual last death was getting ambushed from behind by one of those stinky green spewing zombies and when I got knocked down my game froze. At that point I was too tired to restart again so I just went off to bed. They really need a patch for it because the freezing thing happens at least once every time we play :rage:

I was playing Left 4 Dead with survivor bots. I was on the second part of the Dark Carnival stage and there's a part where you go through a warehouse thing. There just happened to be a witch in the way.

There was a bit of space on each side where we could run past her quickly. I ran past her and all the way to the other side of the area so she could calm down and stop shrieking. But Coach bot decided he didn't want her to calm down and he would rather shoot her. After she incapacitated him, we're all trying to shoot her. Unfortunately, he just happened to be incapacitated right beside a gas can and an oxygen tank. I'm not sure if it was me or one of the bots that shot the gas can but it ignited and exploded the oxygen tank, incapping me. :lew:

Such a sad way to go. :sad3:

I was playing Dead Space on Impossible mode, I die a lot

Most recently I was in a room where you meet the first dark stabber, the thing you get the captain's codes from. It leaps out with a moth (which makes more dark stabbers if left alone). I died a few times, till I worked out where to stand so I could freeze them as soon as they appeared. I froze them and shot a mine, which had no effect on them whatsoever. I assumed I missed and tried again the next time, but no cigar

Someone on another board told me a week ago to climb up to the very fingertip of the Mechonis's fallen arm in Xenoblade to get a very handsome EXP reward and a lovely view where I could make my Dunban do an Assassin's Creed-style leap of faith for the lulz. So I did as instructed and climbed all the way up there only to wander too far away from the stairs and into the domain of a massive pterodactyl-bird creature that decided to attack me straight away. Trying to outrun the massive pterodactyl-bird creature which was Level 92 and pummelling the crap out of my Level 60 crew, I forgot where I had come from and instead leaped off the railing straight down into the ground about 3000 feet to Dunban's death.

The guy then suggested that I was underlevelled as I should have been able to take down the pterodactyl-bird thing and I've stopped listening to him ever since. :mokken:

This probably wasn't my latest death, but it was probably the most memorable of recent times. :sad2:

On Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood I was trying to get the parachute trophy, and thus I climbed up to the very top of the Castel Sant'Angelo. I observed the fantastic view from the highest point for a while, then jumped off. I didn't realise that you have to actually buy the parachutes from a tailor so I fell to my death. :sad3:

I must have had lots of other deaths since then, since I played Modnation Racers last weekend. I borrowed it from a friend and downloaded lots of user-created characters such as The Pope, Poirot, David Hasselhoff, Cthulhu and Rommel. Since the game is difficult to survive, they died a lot.

I was playing Demon's Souls  I'd already been killed by the Tower Knight, but I have the cling ring, so I have about 75% of my max health. I was running across a bridge only to have a dragon sneak up on me and kill me with its fire. Then it killed me again. I managed to roll the next time, only to go down below with no herbs to heal myself and get mauled by a dog because I didn't block its first attack. Evil doggies :sad2:

I was playing some Gears of war III multiplayer last night. I was playing as Anya as usual and well since Gears of war is just shotguns all the time. I do not even know why they give you the other weapons. Shotgun is the most spammy thing I have ever seen as it gets to the point where it does my head in. I was doing a fair bit of the work, but I knew my doom was near. Right in the corner of the map was a locust on the other team, I didn't know he was there and well he shot my guts out with the sawed off shotgun. :sad3:

Gotten many deaths in Gears of War 3's Deathmatch ever since I put the difficulty on normal, but I was doing a deathmatch on the trenchs and theirs a mortor gun at the very top of a certain spot, enemys normally aim their too. So I picked up the mortor gun and killed a locust who tried to blindside me and i took aim right? I didnt notice that the X on the targetor means your shot isnt good, i launched a mortor grenade and it literally fell right at my feet after hitting the roof of something above me and I blew myself up x.x the worst part was it said "shadowStar Mila >(killed) ShadowStar Mila :I

I thought it would be fun to play a Rogue in dragon age 2 until I started getting cleaved by a Warrior and it kept throwing my character off balance.

Anyway, I kept getting stuck by two other rogues and there was nothing I could do about it since they kept knocking my character off balance (i mean rly im playing a mage right now on nightmare and they dont even get knocked down by a single hit wtf is this shit?) and there was nothing I could do about it, so I got stabbed to death.

gibbed.

fucking bullshit imo. :monster:

I just started playing Final Fantasy III for the NES. It's not going very well.

I just died a horrible death against one of Atelier Totori's bosses, this oversized fish thing. It wasn't a very long battle at all, I don't think I was adequately prepared, but this is the first time I've encountered something on this game that has actually been too strong for me.

I just watched a video of someone taking it down at Adventure Level 46, and I'm 31...that might have had something to do with it. I should be higher, but I've been prioritizing synthesis/gathering quests. I'll shoot for 40 and then try it again...I still have over a year of in-game playtime left on it, so as long as I'm careful, I should be able to make it...but, just in case I can't, I'll have a backup file, so I can rack up as much cash as I can and get some superior weaponry for New Game+...

Died over 50 times now in the last few hours in Portal 2 co-op because an ignoramus who calls himself my friend keeps 'accidentally' removing those light-bridge-things when I'm standing on them. Considering we also managed to get stuck on the level select room because we were trying to portal the other person to their death, it's amazing we've made any progress whatsoever.

I got maced in the Battlefield 3 Beta earlier. The players that have been playing non-stop all week have memorized all the camp spots and, predictably, camp. It doesn't help that no one really seems to care about the team objectives anymore, they just want to increase their kill/death ratio.

I got clipped by a pendulum blade on a very narrow walkway in Sen's Fortress in Dark Souls...I fell about about two hundred feet, bounced off a pasty white demon-thing, and finally came to rest in the shallow waters, leaving about 30,000 souls for me to try and reclaim by battling through annoying lizard men that are only weak to pyromancy, random boulder traps and, of course, more narrow walkways with pendulum blades.

This was perhaps my fifth death in this place alone today (it's just worthy of note because I hit an enemy on the way down, so I got at least SOME satisfaction out of it) and I'm getting a wee bit sick of it...might go back to the old Londo Ruins, swap getting killed by snake men and cheap Castlevania-style traps for blue dragons and intangible ghosts for it. Just to shake things up.

I was playing Heavy Rain, and I'll very vaguely explain the death so I won't spoil the game for anyone. I was trying to unlock all the endings and I got a little bored, so I decided to see what would happen if I allowed a character's pant leg to catch on fire and not stamp it out, and then I found if I left my controller still, the character would eventually just burst into flames and then they rolled around in pain on a bed to get the fire out, but they burned alive. I then pressed the START button to go to the pause menu, and go load my last save...
