I shop at Ebay!

You haven't heard of Thor then? :wacky:

Something I've just noticed is that 3rd Party ticket sites for things like concerts charge stupid amounts for delivery. I was getting tickets for V Festival last night... £48 for express delivery. >>

I would shop at eBay, but I don't have a credit card and I have no idea how to use PayPal... I'm such a n00b. -__-

It's easy, all you do is sign up and put your bank details in. If I can figure it out anyone can :monster:

I got Absolution for something like 86p xD E-bay is great!

But as said before it is wise to check feedback and whatnot. I liek to email the sellers yelling at them when they take the pish, but that's rare

Oh. I don't like touching my bank account, because if I did, I know I'd drain it in like two days. xD

But eBay sounds delicious. They have Photoshop Express for $30.00! Graaaah. :gasp:

Do you guys actually bother with the auctions at all? I used to, but I stopped because I would always sit in front of the computer 10 minutes earlier, refreshing and refreshing, until it comes down to one minute...then place my bid, then keep refreshing some more, hoping no one was doing the same thing. It's such a tedious task. =/ One time I didn't even get the item. Someone beat me to it by several seconds. >.<

So now I just look for the Buy It Now items. Makes my life much simpler that way. I don't care if I have to pay a few extra bucks for it...(I know that auctions tend to be a little cheaper than Buy It Now).

Gah, I've found so many cheap posters and instruments that I want from ebay, but I need an account. >_> I don't really have enough money in the bank to make one, it's something ridiculously low so I'll have to put more in. >_>

My friend keeps telling me that I should go on play.com aswell, because apparently you can get dvds and stuff dirt cheap there. I really should, my mum and brother and sister all buy things from there all the time, I don't know why I haven't yet. o_O

Mulan 2 made me sad. Disney sequels never have the same magic as their predecessors. She did you a favor maybe. :D
That's so true. =[ The only Disney sequel that was actually as good if not better than the first one was Toy Story 2. I hate how expensive disney dvds are to buy... I saw some in asda today at £7 and just my luck that I didn't have my money. ¬_¬

Okay, I have been browsing around ebay for the past two days trying to find a special something (birdhouse). But I've also been looking at other things like glitter and dog toys...

I swear that every single item that I go to bid on...has already been bid on by a bidder with a name such as:
6**7
u***7
a**b
9***3

All weird names with asterisks...
And after I place a bid, I am outbid by them within a few hours...

ON EVERY ITEM!

Has anyone else noticed this?

play.com is probably one of the best sites for music and DVDs. You're usually saving about £5 on new releases, and usually they have exclusive stuff too. I've never actually bought anything myself, but my mate uses it a lot. :wacky:

Odd. I do know that there are cases where the same seller would create multiple accounts just so that when someone places a bid on his or her items, simply bust out the other account and outbid the other buyer/bidder - who would then place another bid a few hours later only to be outbid again by the same/different account. It's their way of making more money, I guess. (To increase the item's price amount and if the bidder's desperate enough, he or she would keep bidding until the price is high). Also one of the reasons why I've stopped messing with the bidding process.

I know, I know! I kind of knew that a few people were doing it for a while, but...it seems like it's a full blown outburst all of a sudden! I'm not even bidding on items by the same seller. I can bid on 10 different things by 10 different people, and this keeps happening! o_O

It's totally screwing up my bids. X__x
This is just giving me all the more reason to wait 5 seconds before the end of the auction to bid!!!

That's what I do, and I think it's the best way anyway. (Not to mention fun sometimes).

I was not aware that it keeps happening in outbursts now. I just saw it happen twice. But wow, your situation's crazy. I know there's softwares like EZ Snipers and Bid Burglars (places bids on the final seconds of eBay auctions) that people would use...that could be the problem.

I was just recently trying to win Pokemon plushies for my son on ebay and this has been happening to me as well! What is the meaning of it I wonder?

edit: Just saw Suki's post :P that would make sense actually...but I wonder why it would happen as consistently as it has with Rhea?

I'll revive an old topic, I searched the forums but didn't find another one, so...I'll just revive this one.

Anyhoo. Finally convinced my parents to create a pay pal account tonight, and I have to agree that ebay is the way to go xD I've been spending my birthday money on there, and it's much cheaper than buying all the stuff in stores, and more convenient. It's like snowing and all icy outside, but I was still able to buy the stuff I wanted to buy xD

Ive been all over ebay again recently, Ive been buying fish stuff, clothes and looking for games /accessories for my Wii. It's still my first port of call for ANYTHING I need, Im still adicted to the plce as I was when I first signed up,. I can ignor eit for ages, then its liek a snowbal effect, Il keep bidding on things, and I sactually shout at the screen if some arse bandit out bids me last second

Got a bid on a game for Danny atm, Im trying not to look for anything becusae Im skint and the te4mptation is just too much becauyse I can think of 3 gaems off top of my head that I want >_>

I love Ebay! It is quite useful for finding stuff which I can't find in stores. These days I mostly just buy games off there but have been known to buy plenty of other things too. The only problem with Ebay is I always get paranoid that I've been ripped off after I've won the item. Luckily my purchases have all arrived, but I still get edgy once I've paid for something.

If I'm really bored I sometimes hop on Ebay and check out stuff even if I have no intention of buying anything. The great thing about Ebay is that I can generally find what I'm looking for.

I went a bit nutty with Ebay during December.

I went and bought a whole bunch of figurines and books and DVD's all for me for Christmas. XD

It really is convenient, especially today.

I've been searching for a simple momento box with a lock for the past two days and NOWHERE seems to carry this simple item.

Go on Ebay and I end up having to decide on what to pick. XD It's great! I love having options! There's just so much variety and things you simply can't get in a shop.
