What do you think will happen? Will we die from glabal warming? What about video games? Will they be like holograms? Pop-stars are getting old, what new ones will we hear?

What do you think about life in only 10 short years? In 2018?

Lets see... I think in ten years some people will still telling around people that end of the world is coming, as the video games progress I think there will be like 15-20 new games out but not like holograms, there will be Playstation 5 or 6 released by then.
Thats all I can think of now. :monster:

Il be 35 -__-

I can't see things being all that much different tbh, things will remain the same...only better I expect

Lord knows how games will advance, maybe we get to do that virtual reality shizz where you end up inside the game or summat.

I think mobile phones will be able to make cups of tea, it's about the only thing they don't do at the moment xD

Music will just be shit. Every man and his dog will have a record released and Il be sat there complaining about how the music of today is shite and you never see anyone decent like U2 anymore. IT'S JUST NOISE I TELL YOU :wacky:

Yes, I don't think that much will change. Madonna will be 60 though :gasp:

There will be a computer within the mobile I think.

The poles will change, the moon will float away from us 5cm again... Hope I will die before the end of everything :wacky:

And still be making music probably. >>
As far as music goes, none of us will probably like it at all except the odd song or band. We'll just sit and listen to the old classic CDs on the ancient CD player.

I don't think life will have changed that much. There'll be a war somewhere against terrorism, scientists will be telling us that we could have another Ice Age a lot sooner than we think. The end of the world will be coming, and all the while new technology will be released to make out lives easier.

Global Warming is part of nature (although contaminating is not helping either), so I expect we will have another Ice Age someday near.....thousands of years later?

So do not worry my friend, thou will live and die long before that happens :monster:

10 years from now our world would be much like the Jetsons'. :wacky:

Actually I'm not sure. I'm sure there will be a lot of changes, but probably nothing majorly big that would leave us all in gaping in awe. Music will either become better or worse, who really knows? Video games may be much more a thrilling experience for many, but I'd certainly miss the "classic ones" in this current time.

And...actually funny that you say "10 short years". While I do think that 10 years is indeed a small number, the experience and time makes me feel really old by the end of my tenth year. Ten years ago I was only 11...I've certainly been through a lot to even call it "short years".

An Ice Age IS coming, allegedly. Ask Al Gore, he seems to know all about it. Fucking Atlantic currents. :gasp:

Hmm, we'll be able to buy jetpacks for twenty squids [:
You'll have to win the lottery just to be able to move out of yer parents basement
Neds and chavs will have taken over the world.
The fannies of today might have their way and make it so that lazy/type/chav speak becomes an accepted language.

That's about it, from me.

Yes, global warming will kill us all off in 10 years, and Manbearpig is hunting children in Colorado.

Yeah, global warming is happening. All the excess amounts of CO2, N2O and methane (those things they call "greenhouse gases) are thickening the layers in the atmosphere. Plants and bacteria are designed to cycle that stuff, but there's a bit too much of the emissions being produced currently, and it doesn't help that deforestation is happening.

But will it kill us in 10 years? Um, no. We'd have to wipe out all the vegetation and drive cars with no mufflers, and if we did that we'd die for reasons other than global warming. I'd say in 10 years people will have figured out how to make things more energy efficient and crap.

As for viddyagames...who knows. I'll probably be too busy with a career by then to play them very much. Pop stars, I don't know. But everything is going retro these days, 80's stuff is making a huge comeback and there's alot of 60's and 70's musical and stylistic influences everywhere too. So I'd say in 10 years we oughtta be back in the 1950's and hanging out at diners slicking our hair back and wearing leather jackets.

You know that with each volcanic eruption the planet's temperature is decreased by 3 grades (I am not sure if it's Fahrenheit or Celsius) more than the amount we increase each year? At least, that's what one of my future college professors say (some people believe he is a bit crazy....but he seems quite intelligent)

Also, Global Warming is a natural part of nature, it is supposed to happen to bring balance to the planet. The Earth has passed through numerous Ice Ages, Before and After Ice Ages, Hot Ages (not sure how is called).

It is like:
-Glacial Era
-Earth begins to get warmer
-Earth gets even warmer
-Temperature starts to drop significantly
-Ice Age or Glacial Era
-same process all over again...

Of course, by contaminating we are reducing a significant amount of natural resources and screwing up the planet a bit more, but we are not that important. Besides, nature always seems to win for it can send us Hurricanes, Tornadoes, Earthquakes, Tsunamis, etc, etc, etc.

well let's see in the next ten years, we will probably enter into the next world war. We will most likely be working on a space colony where people can go in case of nuclear holocaust. Then end of the world will be dated 12/21/22 according to the mayan callender. And Canada will have the strongest, most savage military on the planet.

Nostradamus (or however is spelt), said the same thing about 1999, and how come I am typing this right now? The world will not end, the only thing that could cease to exist would be us, humans, since races are always fated to face extinction at some point.

well I've noticed that whenever a date is picked for the end of the world, and it goes by, someone always says they misinterpreted, and they add on about 10 years. I believe the last prediction from the maya calender was '96 or something. so after 2012 goes by and they still haven't collected all the crystal skulls then the date will be pushed to 2022.

and addition India will have surpassed China in population.

We won't have another world war, obviously someone hasn't heard of Mutually Assured Destruction(MAD). Which prevents the use of Nuclear weapons, and conventional warfare with two large armies is a thing of the past.

Also it's extremely arrogant for humans to think that the pollution we produce actually effects the world. The earth is still in an ice age, it fluctuates between ice ages and times where the earth is as dry a desert.
I don't think much will have changed much in ten years.

In 10 years... It will be 2018. There will have been alot of change, especially as humans embrace the future, and this generation takes the reins of power.

I will be in a junior management position, a successful businessman, if there has not been a world war by then. WWIII is inevitable, and due within 10 or 20 years. There will be little or no nuclear weapons usage, due to SDI and a general fear of using nukes. Its size and scale will be the equivalent of previous world wars, though it might not be fought on the soil of major powers. Think oil crisis, economic crisis, and war of attrition.
China and India will be almost level with the US.
Video games will have moved on considerably. Videspread VR consoles will be very new products. The internet will have evolved again.

The new generation, the iGeneration, will run things differently, and, as I have said before, I fear for the future if there aren't people mature enough to be running countries. However, that will be a bit later on, we're talking 20 years from now for people my age to become prominent politicians. I strive to be one of them, with my vision, initiative, and insight. Only time will tell.

The environment will be another major issue, of course, though we're not all going to die because of global warming. It's an issue to be tackled, I know, but it's not preventable, we're simply speeding up a natural process. Consumption of resources, well, that's one reason why we should look to space.

It makes you think, how short life is. In ten years, most people on FFF will will have moved on from these forums, and will be independent adults.
Just remember FFF, eh? Remember your old friends from here, stay in contact, even if it's not that frequently. 30 year olds on FFF!!! If it's still around, that is...

-90% of the World's population will be obese.

-Mobile phones won't require humans anymore

-I'll be living in the UK, studying something at some university

-I'll be 25, and still have the maturity of a 3 year old.

-I'll have 700 posts on FFF :elmo:

-Video Games will probably be VR, lets all hope

-George Bush will be dead (we're all holding out for you :))

and I'll think of some more later :gasp:

the world ends 2012???
thats bull, my friend wont let that go... but hes a fucking moron.
I beleave that the tech. will grow, into what im not sure.

I think that music will move towards the more techno/retro feel like Cascada and Madonna, and probably even more rock and all that. Rap and hip-hop will continue to provide new beats and uncreative rhymes, but I still think the dominant genre will be New Age-ish.

I don't think the world will be conquered by Global Warming, but I think that there will be more hybrid cars and efforts to help control pollution levels and all that. We probably won't be dependent on gas anymore, either.

Yup.

Finally! See, my college professor (well the one that will give me the Geology course once I join) was indeed correct. Yes, I concur that in our arrogance, we believe ourselves so mighty to even be being able to alter the functions of nature. Now I am wondering, if it's our intelligence that separates us from the animals, and said intelligence is going down the drain in some people....what will become of humankind? :wacky:

I sure hope so! :O

Ahem, well in ten years time... who knows. I don't see things being that different... Technology will have probably advanced to crazy levels but I doubt it will be controlling our lives. We're at a pretty good stage right now (give or take a few things) so I think most new developments will just be fads and full of gimmicks.

Music-wise, the charts will probably be full of bad solo attempts from the offspring of today's celebrities, and we'll turn into our parents moaning about how awful music today is. xD Then there will be the odd band that are unique and actually have talent, and everybody will love them for just that and they'll sell billions of records, and then the lead singer will either sell-out completely or die from drug OD, in the latter case some crappy bluegrass tribute will go on tour disgracing the once good music forever. Or something like that. >>

As far as *I* go, I honestly have no idea where I'll be when I'm 26. :gasp: Hopefully lost in Russia somewhere.. but ah well, who knows? I don't really have a plan. >>
