Crisis Core Is Crisis Core worth getting?

sephiroth and genesis were played major parts in this game without them you would have less than an hour of gameplay and have absolutly none without angeal
i cant say much cause i dont wanna ruin the game for some people
the dmw still collected exp and wouldnt lvl up maybe cauze u killed weak monsters
great game
there better reply riku

The actual main storyline is certainly a reason to buy the game, it's both fantastic and moving, the graphics are good considering it's on PSP, the voice acting is strong and emotive and the missions are fun, the only fault I can remember is that the missions seemed lacking and repetitive in some of them >.>

I received this game in the mail this morning and man, i CANNOT get myself off this thing. It's really fun.

Granted, it's not like the tradition FF7 rpg style but i love the fact it's got some of the original materia like Fire, cure, poison ect it's still good fun.

To top it off, i bought a PSP 3000 Radiant Red to enjoy it more ^^

Imo - This is worth getting - The cutscene graphic's are advent children quality which is so epic..Even the gameplay graphics are ps2 like. Not like GTA Vice city stories which had some totally shit graphic's (Seriously...)

And learning and playing the story following up to FF7 for the ps1 (which is my all time favourite game) is pure win.

Of course this game is worth getting. The game adds some more to the story of FFVII, and give you the backstory prior to Cloud and Co. The story is amazing, an excellent game for the psp graphically and playability wise. I really enjoyed this game, almost on the verge of enjoying it more than FFVII itself its that good. Atleast in my eyes its that good. The only complaints I could really have was that I prefer the battle system that VII has over CC, and that its mission based. But even then its not even that bad of an issue really.
I give this game a 9.5/10.

I personally will recommend it to people and especially to people who already played the original. It really is a great game the fact that it serves as a background to ff7 the storyline is pretty good even though it is kinda short but the whole Zack becoming first class,Genesis and Angeal Crisis made the game amazing.

Though the leveling system disappointed me gravely because the DMW made leveling up really slow I mean you could be playing for the whole day and still be the same level very disappointing and the fact that you can finish the game without even completing the DMW is kinda sad.

so that's all.......

I think it's really worth getting. For myself, this is my first Final Fantasy game, and I didn't know anything about it, and I got hooked. It's really addicting, and very fun.

I love the graphics, GCI, music etc.

Recommended to buy!

I haven't played VII, but I have Crisis Core and enjoy it very much. I've seen Advent Children too. I know the main gist of VII's story, though.
Haha. Wow. So you're aiming to do everything related to FFVII, except FFVII itself? Seriously, give it a shot. It may seem dated, but it still beats many contemporary games.

it's worth gettin if you want to no what happens in it and then get the other ffvii and then see the movie you well no what is happening.it is a gd game i was o much crying

There's some really funny lines in it too...like how Zack says 'he's summoning again' while being carried in the air by Angeal :P and the way Angeal says 'The buster sword' while staring at it sounds really comical ROFL (partially cause we used to call my brother 'buster' as a term of endearment when he was younger ROFL)

my suggestion, only get this game if u have played the origonal...if u have played the origonal, its totally worth it...

then again, I've not played the original...I know the basic storyline though & I'm addicted to watching Advent Children XD & I'm still having an awesome time playing Crisis Core :D

Crisis core is most definitly worth getting! But I do agree with the whole 'playing the original game first' suggestion. The only annoyance to me in this game was the whole leveling up system. Its random, so no amount of training will help.

Not completely true, the game has a sort of invisible EXP Counter. Every time you defeat something a fixed amount of EXP is added to the counter increasing your chances of attaining a level up.

Information is at this: http://www.gamefaqs.com/portable/psp/file/925138/52235

And in my opinion, Crisis Core is a great game regardless of playing the original or not.

I never knew that you get fixed "EXP" for the counter. I didn't think you would be levelling up completely randomly anyway, but I didn't think much about it after I finished it and left it to rot.

Crisis Core is such a disgustingly short game considering SE announced it in 2004! Agito and KH: Birth by Sleep had better be longer!

Yeah, that was really disappointing considering it had no replay value.

I could've totally rocked a new game file running around with Zack in nothing but shorts beating the shit out of robots with an umbrella :monster:

well it sure is worth to buy its really good game with good graphics ... and long story mode ... and other ...

of course is worth getting
if you want to get evrything ingame (incl Genjiset) you will have to play like 100-120 hours on normal mode
hard mode will take you a bit longer
but it's fun

I would say it is most definitely worth buying and playing, and even re-playing. I would also like to state that it has a great storyline that reveals quite a bit. However, I don't think it should be played without having played FF7 first, just to avoid any confusion. The graphics, cut-scenes, and music are fantastic and this game has one of the best endings I think I have ever seen!
