Is this game fun?

When weighing this game to any other Final Fantasy game, developed after the Playstation, I say this is the lowest grade.

However when comparing it to many other RPGs, not all but many, this game still takes the cake.

Its fun and keeps your attention. But it gets dull rather fast and the mission system is a bit annoying.

It was the damn mission system that killed me. I hated that so much it didnt feel like a FF game anymore. It felt like a normal run-of-the-mill RPG after that.

Despite how much I utterly hate this game because of it's story and general cringe worthy moments, I will admit it is a fun game and worth playing. It's easy and the Dress Sphere System is cool, got lots of cool and unique items to find, lot's of mini-games (though many suck) and it has different outcomes for many parts of the game adding to replay value (if in your opinion it has any by the time you've made up your verdict on it ;)).

I found this game to be fun and I liked seeing how everyone was doing after X. It isn't hard either if you find good dresspheres and you know how to use them. One point of advice...find the Dark Knight dressphere and get the Alchemist dressphere. It takes some time to get good abilities for the Alchemist but it's worth it

Putting the story and the characters aside, the game is fun to play. I always like watching the girls change jobs in the middle of battle so I usually make they transform about five times each battle. Needless to say this is making the game take a lot longer than it should.

I haven't beaten the game yet because I find that I need to take a lot of breaks from it.

I found thi to be the worst game of all the FF's i have ever played. I mean come on... after such a great game (FFX) and then to follow it with this piece of crap?... the ending was ok but the game play and the "dreespheres" were the worst ideas ever.. anyways that my opinion

It was generally fun the first time I playedit through. Hated the story, liked the game play.

The problem I have with the game now is that I can't play at all after I watch the opening movie. I've tried a few times this year but was un able to get past the start. Not becuase it was hard just because I ....

I enjoyed it...and the ending defenitely gave me that happily ever after feeling for Yuna.

The fast paced battle system was truly great and made up for the rather slower gameplay of FF10, which was good though, but lacked adrenaline.

It was fun to play, initially. But i found it got old fast, I disliked the battles and mastering dress spheres was tedious. I dislike job systems in general too, and FFX2s was no exception.

I just bought this game two days go mostly just to add to my collection. As a huge fan of FFX who loved the ending so much that he ranks it near the top as one of the best video game endings in history, will X2 just sully that feeling and dilute the overall experience FFX gave me?

By that I mean will FFX lose meaning since X2 is a sequel and therefore more "up to date" since it follows the events post-sin. I'm worried I'll play and then punch myself for not wanting to know what happened post-sin. The way X ended was beautiful and it's nice to see a sad ending in an FF game but I've heard about a happy ending in X2 which worries me.

Considering my deep passion for X, would X2 just ruin it for me?

A game can only be fun if a person likes the game.

One person can say it's fun because they enjoyed playing it. Another person could have just bought it to put in their collection. Another could have bought it, played it, and said it was a horrible game.

The only way you'd find out if it's fun is if you were to play it yourself, so the best thing you could do to find this out is to rent it. That'd be your best bet.

Well I did buy for collection purposes even though it is heavily despised :D. I'll play it for a bit and if, at any point, I'm bothered by what I see, I'll stop and forget it existed.

I love FFX as much if not more than you, and it didn't ruin FFX at all. That's because I thought of the two games as separate entities, not connecting them much as FFX-2 has events that revolve around a new cast of characters. Just think of X-2 as a fun little attachment of FFX, and the ending won't be ruined for you.

Concerning the FFX-2 ending, it depends on how much of the game you complete. There are three endings, each achievable by completing a certain % of the game's storyline.

Coolio. Thanks. Haven't played it yet. Read the manual and interface seems....interesting. But FFX in me wants to play it :)

Well the copy I bought doesn't work (too many disk scratches) so I'm off to find another one...

IT'S STUPID.
Yea, in my opinion it's the stupid FF ever made...I think they made it to steal our money legally.

I enjoyed Final Fantasy X-2, it was my very first Final Fantasy game. The gameplay was great, the storyboard was good and the characters were awsome. It was a great sequel to Final Fantasy X. The only problem was the final boss fight was a little too easy which killed the ending fight, but I loved
the perfect ending when Yuna and Tidus reunite together again, the ending still bring tears to my eyes.
I give the game 7 stars out of 10.

EDIT: Please use spoiler tags. ~SS~

I couldn't agree more, though perhaps I would rate it a little higher than that. The first couple of hours I played it, I was a bit confused by it to be honest. The whole sphere hunting thing seemed rather random and silly and there didn't seem to be much to come for. But the storyline does eventually come together and evolve, and when that happened, I found to be atleast as captivating as Final Fantasy X was. Great storyline with lots of plot twists and new things being revealed all the time.
