The Japanese is so much better, I can't stand some of the English voices. Once I get better at Japanese, hopefully I can understand it without the subtitles ^_^.

To me it really doesn't matter which is better. I liked both of them, but I did see it in japanese first, and it was awesome. Not saying that English is worse. In japanese it was cool, and I really liked the voices.

ach i didnt like the japanese version it was wat i downloaded first and i just hated reading it....so i downloaded the english ahhh so much easier :)

I prefer the Jap one. SOme of teh voices in teh english one didn't seem to fit for me. But i had teh Jap one way before i had teh english so that might have something to do with it.

The Japanese version of AC is far superior to the English version of which only Vincent, Rude and Yuffie' were remotely alright. I hate the pauses between sentences and the translations were also off like Reno' "zutto" which means "yo" was totally ignored and left out. Which takes a lot away from the character of Reno due to the fact that "yo" ties in with his lazy additude. It just seems that the NA Voice Actor directors did'nt even try or care if any of the voices even fit the characters.

Japanese for me. Japanese is the origionl Language for the film, so the mouths move in sync with the pronounciations. But the Japanese version seems so much better. To be honest, I don't think the Japanese voices sound cissy apart from one or two of the girls, but cissy is an insult towards males? And the male's voices in FFVII Advent Children, Especially Cloud and Sephie!

I'd rather choose Japanese language with English subtitles...it's much better that using English Language...at least,we can learn new japanese words..(",)

I have to agree, the whole franchise is Japanese so the characters "home" is Japan.

Personally though, I thought the English translation was very impressive, I loved both Cloud and Vince. Even Cait (Remember, even though its Japanese, Cait Sith (pronounced "caught shee") is Scottish!!!! Do your homework!

i wouldnt really care because its the same movie with different voices i lyk it in japeanse cuz im japenaze but the english i under stand more cuz i dont reall dont talk that much japenase i talk a lot of english also the filipino laungauge tagalog=D

i rock!

I definatly prefer the english speech. mainly because trying to watch a movie and read subtitles at the same time really really bugs me. none of the english voices really bother me anyway, as i thought the whole cast was excellently choson (Excpet Maybe Cait sith and Tifa)

Normally I prefer the first one I listen to. In the case of AC, it was the Japanese audio. Some of the voices in the translation annoy me but I also prefer to actually be able to listen to it rather than reading subtitles.

I'm not too fond of the English voice acting in the film so I watch the Japanese audio instead, it makes the movie a lot better in my opinion. The Japanese voice acting sounds more realistic in my opinion. The only thing about that though is that you have to read subtitles while trying to watch the film, it would be good if I knew Japanese lol. :P

I prefer the Japanese dub, its more realistic and the voices suited the characters real well.

Oh geez i didn't realise this thread is about AC....:P

I would vote for English, simply because i can understand it better, although the Japanese voice acting would suit it better, as the film was made in Japan.....

Ick, I vote for Japanese. (I'm a subbed fan anyways when it comes to anime.) The English voice acting was terrible. It did not fit the characters very well. Tifa's English voice was so emotionless. Sephiroth saying: 'Hey Cloud, good to see ya' was just...no...bad voice acting.

I vote for Japanese. As long as it has subtitles. ^_^
It sounds way better than english when it comes to Final Fantasy movies/games/whatever.:P
