Land of Dragons

Oya, on her way to the graveyard to visit her parents grave suddenly felt a large intent of anger. It pained herself, the feeling of another that are strong enough, can be strong to attack her.

Around with her she always kept her source of protection. Her weapons as the world was never a safe place. The mines were behind her and the anger intent slowly became closer the more she walked away. In the distance, a silohette had appeared.

OOC: You have officially levelled up again Tripod, as well as XN, Serge, and Squall. Congrats
OOC: Thanks

IOC: Aiden took his sword and all the itmes he could gather for the journey. He talked with Macon about their plan and he agreed with joining forces with this man.

"What we need now is transportation....."

Aiden then remembered about the ship he saw at the hangar when he was taken prisoner.

"Macon come one, there is a ship we can use to get out of here. Once we get to the hangar we can decide our next destination."

Aiden went towards the hangar.

"Macon come one, there is a ship we can use to get out of here. Once we get to the hangar we can decide our next destination."

"And where should our next destination be?"

Something about this wasn't right. It was like Macon had been inadvertantly drawn into something way bigger than he ever imagined. His new companion had recieved a new power, gviving him an edge over Macon.

But...

Would he get stronger? Macon felt a surge of excitement rush through his very bones. For he had had a feeling that he would get stronger, much stronger.

His muscles tightened a bit. Perhaps there was something else in the hangar that they were walking to that shouldn't be there? Aiden was in no condition to fight, which meant that Macon had another chance at furthering himself in the combat arts. Plus, it'd be a way to test his progress.

I stepped forward and beckoned to Jake. He followed, though his power and anger had not come even close to subsiding. As he stepped, cracks appeared, and the ground shook, and not even because of his strength, but the power he was emanating. He walked past me, totally ignoring the fact that I was there. He was a man on a mission, and nothing was going to stop him from avenging his family. I knew it, and I had nowhere near enough power to stop it.

But I could try.

I followed him into the mines. He stopped at the entrance, wary of something. I felt it too.

A presence was nigh, watching. I turned to Jake.

"Jake," I said. "Stay here. I will go in and search for them. If there is an enemy around," I said, casting a wary eye about our misty surroundings. "Then deal with him or her as you see honourable. I love you grandson."

He nodded, and turned around to keep watch.

I walked in to the mines, drawing my sword for any enemies I may encounter.

OOC: From now on, I will be controlling Jake as well as Hera Ledro seperately, and will have to write in the third person (which is sooo difficult now that I'm used to this style). Jake's bio will be posted in the sign-up thread if any of you wish to view it.

Aiden arrived at the hangar and in there he found an enemy ship.

"Macon, with this we can go and search for my friends. Once we get there I will explain everything."

Aiden walked towards the ship's hatch, but before opening it he made turned around to look at Malcon and he said.

"We are heading towards the Dragon Graveyard. There is something that I must obtain there. In there I will find the last crystal for my sword, The Divine Dragon Spirit."

Then he opened the hatch and he aboard the ship.

"Come on Malcon!"

"We are heading towards the Dragon Graveyard. There is something that I must obtain there. In there I will find the last crystal for my sword, The Divine Dragon Spirit."

Macon sized up Aiden's clothing momentarily before looking up towards the behemoth of a ship. It was grand, with every single inch of it being marvelous. There was however, something that really irked him about royalty types though. It was something he had to say, well, before Aiden cut him off.

"Come on Macon!"

To which he replied (though on an entirely different subject) "Geez, what's with you royalty types and your ridiculously large weaponry? What, a regular blade isn't good enough for you, so you've got ta' swing around somethin' bigger than you?"

Little did he know, he was suconsciously making light of the situation at hand. But he did kind of want to see Aiden's friends.

Oya noticed that it seemed to be nothing, the guy moved past her not knowing who it was, but something was still not right, that sense had slipped bethind her.

Turning she heading for the mines. It didn't seem far at all, but there was someone at the enterance. Clueless of who it was she looked down. Cracks? Oya thought to herself. Raising slowly her head she came eye to eye with someone at the enterance.

As Dracus walks he chuckles and says "Your right. You and me have great power that can end this war. But mine is dark while yours is unknown it could be good or evil not even I know. Also don't worry about me either I'm going to be fine cause of the Dragonite in my body."

As they reach the end of the passage they are in great cavern that has no dragonite in it. As Dracus walks over to pick up a rock for Tripod to sit down on.

Tripod sat on the rock, "You have dragonite in your body?!" Said Tripod with a shock. "Does it hurts?" Said Tripod with worry.

Tripod looked around at her surrondings, "I know it seems like I'm asking alot of question, but I only got these left, How do you know of my power and what makes you think that my power can even stop this war? I'm too weak." Said Tripod as she looked at Dracus. "Look, all I want to do is find my way home, I have no intrest with getting tangled up with other planets affaires......I'm really sorry." Said Tripod as she looked down.

Dracus sits down and says "No it doesn't it what allows me to get the sneak on you and Hera cause I can't be sensed as you can. It also allows me to see things that are not what they seem like you Tripod."

Dracus gets up and gets Tripod cup of water "Here have some make you feel better. I know you want to go home like me but I think in the end we'll be used as weapons like we were made to be."

Dracus drinks from his cup and says "I wanted to talk to you in case we have to fight in the end cause I think that what will happen. Now I must leave you will take the path on the right and go back to Hera but don't tell him about this okay. While I'll take the left and try and find a way to keep you out of this war."

Tripod stood, "Dracus, I hope the next time we meet, we don't have to fight. You seem like a really nice guy....thank you." Said Tripod as she looked at Dracus. Tripod sipped the water and placed the empty cup down.
"Good bye... friend." Said Tripod as she ran down the right path. I need to get the Yoki, he should be in Scotland some were.

Tripod made it out of the mine, She saw Jake, she thought it was Hera from the distant. "Hey Hera-kun, I'm alright." Said Tripod as she ran up to Jake. "Oh, you're not Hera-Kun." Said Tripod as she looked at Jake.

After a few hours Aiden arrived at the Dragon Graveyard. He landed the ship and then he went outside. After arriveing at a certain point Aiden turned around in order to see Macon.

"This is the Dragon Graveyard, in here lie the bones of the ancestors of anancient race whose blood runs through my veins."

Aiden then stared at the Dragon Shrine in which he saw a crystal.

"The power of the dragons, a power that is rightfully mine."

Then Aiden walked towards the Dragon Shrine and he approached the altar. He took the crystal that began to emanate a powerful aura in his hands and staring at it he says.

"No one knows what is the true power of the Divine Dragon Spirit. The only one that could possibly unleashe the power of this gem would be a dragon. However, I have a weapon that allows me to absorb this power. The Fearless is such a marvellous sword, isn't it?"

Sorry that I didn't post. I had some deadlines that required all off my efforts. I would like to ask how much freedom I can have in the RPG, it's nessisary to know for an story arc I have in mind.

IC:
The out worldly Ku hastily made his way back to his hotel room. Things hadn’t gone as planned thanks too the little girl who was supposedly his younger sister. Ku lay down on the bed and closed his eyes. For now he should probably get some sleep, however Ios’ mental voice disturbed his rest:
Ku, the voice spoke to him there is something you should know.
Ku replied with a voice showing only partial interest:
*What is it?*
Ios:
Didn’t you feel anything familiar about your sisters power?
Ku thought back at the moment his sister had used her magic. Ku recalled the feeling but he couldn’t recall encountering anything similar before.
Ku:
*No, why?*
Ios:
It’s because she’s rather weak compared to those like her you’ve encountered before but she’s a dragon knight. Or rather she’s a descendent off one.
Ku sat up straight suddenly he was interested in what Ios knew, he had encountered dragon knights several times before. They were allied with dragons and were granted power in return of their loyalty. Still it was surprising that someone who would be his sister was someone like that.
Ios seemed to have read Ku’s mind as he continued:
Once granted the power of the dragon knights can stay for thousands of generations unless specifically withdrawn by a dragon with the knowledge to do so. I don’t feel any ‘real’ dragon knights so it’s most likely that even the dragons on this world no longer know how to imbue dragon knights.
Ku thought for a moment and then asked:
*How are these powers granted?*
Ios seemed to be in a talkative mood as he continued:
Basically it’s what humans would call a ‘blessing’. The dragon grants the knight powers in his own name or that of his god. This depends on the dragons type and intentions.
Ku:
*How many of these knights does Io have?*
Ios:
None, those dragons loyal to Io himself seclude themselves from most sentient races and life on barren worlds. Most dragons that give such blessings are those that have lived with humans and other sentient races for generations.
Ku and Ios remained silent for a few moments then Ku asked:
*Can you give such a blessing?*
Ios seemed to require some thought on this before he replied:
Though I have never given such a blessing as a physical representative of Io I do posses the power to grant them. However I can’t guarantee that the effects are the same. Most likely, since I serve the first god rather then one of the lesser dragon gods, a blessing granted by me would give a dragon knight far more power then a normal blessing. But why do you wish to know?
Ku:
*Because perhaps in the near future I will need the help of a dragon knight. Also I do not wish to leave this world without leaving it in capable hands.*
Ios:
The girl has potential, perhaps she has the same sort of latent powers you had when we first met.
Ku:
*Perhaps Ios, perhaps.*

After that Ku fell too sleep. He would need to be rested since he planned to leave town the next morning. Hopefully Nova would have finished her business as well. Then they could get back too saving the world.

Aiden almost seemed to be possessed by something as they entered the dragon's graveyard. The colossal skeletons of behemoth dragons lay strewn about in an almost careless fashion. There was death in the air. Even though the battle had long been over, the smell still lived on.

"The power of the dragons, a power that is rightfully mine." said Aiden. He was walking over to a grim looking shrine, constructed out of the still bloodied bones of long dead dragons. And in the middle was a pure white crystal.

"No one knows what is the true power of the Divine Dragon Spirit. The only one that could possibly unleashe the power of this gem would be a dragon. However, I have a weapon that allows me to absorb this power. The Fearless is such a marvellous sword, isn't it?" as if in some other world.

"Whatever man. If I had a nickel for every legendary sword that i've been destined to wield, then i'd have over a hundred dollars. But I say screw all that bloodine bull... And all of that legendary stuff too! Some of us would actually rather rely on the power of hard work. This whole buisness here seems a bit... cliched."

Macon was serious about this. He could even feel his battle lust growing. He needed to test himself, to measure himself, and see how much stronger he really was.

"Yes indeed my friend, the lust for power is something that can drive men mad...."
Suddenly, Aiden's sword began to merge with the gem and after that, the sword transformed yet again. The blade of the fearless turned silver with gold and red engravings of dragons at both sides of the blade. In the center of the sword, a big gem appeared on both sides emanating a powerful aura.

"So this is my new power...."
Aiden then turned around to look at Macon. Then he pointed his sword at Macon as if he were challenging him to a battle.

"My new powers allow me to read your mind. I see, so you want to taste your strenght and I suppose you want to do it right now....."

Aiden then lowered his weapon and then he stared at the ground.

"If that is what you want, then is fine with me.....I will fight you, but I will do it in my human form...."

Aiden then looked at Macon.

"Hmmm....fight me....."
Then, the ground began to shake violently, thunders and lightnings filled the air and Aiden remained still, waiting for Macon to make the first move.

OOC:
Aiden's sword transformed into "The Divine Dragon"
Theme song of this battle is "One Winged Angel" Advent Children.

Nova Carmine had arrived at the building where she had been summoned by the New World Order, and quickly found that she would be issued her ID number and login codes, pending a few tests. The tests were quickly done as they only involved some minor blood work and a few lines of questioning.

“Now that we have those formalities out of the way Miss Carmine” Giffard Rian said, “We can get down to business, first of all you are to go nowhere NEAR your alternate self. Then we do expect you to abide by the static reality, just cause this isn't “your earth” doesn't mean you can just go around screwing stuff over. There is a few other odds n ends but I assume you aren't going to be that incompetent” he continued.

Nova being put slightly at ease now that the man in her bed room was wearing a suit good enough for any board room an having a name, “I will go to visit my own self but I will keep my mouth tightly shut and will not speak or interact with her directly, I just want to go see “what could have been” so to speak. I take it you have operatives in place to confirm the truth of this statement, as for the breaching of the static reality I am surprised you didn't notice the protocol beeper I carry in my person. Well I am terribly sorry to do this but I do have some important business to catch up on. I f you will be so kind as to excuse me.” Nova said as she walked to the door. “Before I forget could I see your armory? I have need of a certain item that I cant fabricate myself.”

“Most certainly, Miss Carmine... Might I require as to the precise nature of this “item” and what you will be doing with it?”

“You could just find out what I’m getting by looking at the records of the fabricator right?” Nova said as she walked down a side road that led to the armoury, one of the armoury bots was standing up to question her being there when he noticed Giffard Rian walking behind her. Nova quickly keyed in the required data and obtained the item that she needed in a durable plastic box with an Oilskin wrapping. She figured that it would make a nice birthday present for Ku, she remembered something about it being his birthday around now... She had it delivered to her car by the armoury bots, and picked up a few nicknack's that might be coming in handy later on.

When she got to her car she noticed that it was parked nose out rather then nose in as she had left it, which could mean a few things, one, the dude in charge of the garage was nice... or, two, they had hooked up the car so badly they would know if she wasn't wearing her seatbelt... she figured there would be nothing she could do if it did turn out to be the later so she chose not to ponder the issue.
Just before Nova opened the car door Giffard Rian’s voice came from behind: “Is there anyone capable of using that item?”
“Yes,” Nova replied “but just one.” she added with a smile, then she opened the door a moments later the engine of the Dodge Viper roared throughout the entire garage, followed by the screeching sound of rubber on asphalt.
Driving out she noticed that her rear seemed to be a bit lower on the road then usual. She figured that her “gift” would be waiting for Ku in her trunk, she drove by where she had last seen him as she drove through town and noticed Ku walking with a girl next to him, the girl had the same red hair as Ku. This was odd, red hair was almost unique in Japan, so either Local Ku had some kind blood relation with the girl or she was another oddball. Still Ku had never told her about any blood relatives, on the other hand they never really took the time to talk with each other about such things. Their previous encounters had always been brief and usually filled with more urgent matters then chitchat.

Nova parked the car some distance away and observed Ku and the girl through the rear view mirror. It was a shame that she couldn’t tell which Ku it was from just looking at him. The only way to be sure to just ask, or fire a bullet at him and see if he would catch it. The latter was a little extreme and probably wouldn’t be approved by the it-X, still just walking up too the two of them would be a little too bold. Nova was just wondering on what too do, when a shiver ran down her spine.
It was the presence of someone very powerful, it was Ku, apparently he had already noticed her as she could feel his energy radiating from a nearby building even with her minimal ability in such feats. Nova looked at the building and saw it was a hotel. “So that’s your current base of operations, Ku.” Nova spoke to herself. Nova turned around the car and parked it right in font of the hotel. She entered the hotel and inquired the clerk about Ku. At first the clerk seemed reluctant to tell however after throwing some of her female charm she easily obtained Ku’s room number.
Nova knocked on Ku’s door and she heard a voice coming from inside: “Come in Nova.”

((Phew, glad I got this one out))

"Hmmm....fight me....."

Said Aiden solemnly.

An almost grateful looking smile spread acroos Macon's face.

"No matter what the outcome of this battle, nothing changes between us. Understood?"

With that, Macon began scaling up Aiden, analyzing his strengths and weaknesses. For one thing, he had a legendary blade that recieved it's final form, which meant that it would be no doubt powerful. For another thing, since he was transformed (or at least appeared to be), he would no doubt be faster than normal, abnormally so at the least. To top things off, Aiden now probably had all manner of special and magical abilities.

What a challenge!!

Macon slowly drew his blade. Was he terrified? Hell no! Why? Because no matter how strong he was, he still had weaknesses. For one thing, noone has ever gone up against the true Estillo de Reino style and walk away without hurting and bleeding from several areas. Why? Because Estillo de Reino has something that other fighting styles lack in spades: Unpredictability.

You simply cannot anticipate the movements of the style, not to mention that the true form has been closely gaurded, all the way down Macon's bloodline.

The other thing that Macon had going for him was something that even he knew very little about. You see, Macon himself could transform as well. It's only been used once because he generally relies on his own strength, but will occasionally, occasionally resort to using it...

The third weakness was his blade. Sonce it was so long, there was no way that he wasn't going to see it coming from a mile away, not to mention that due to weight and size ratios, he'd have to undoubtedly turn his hips, torso, and arms to get in a good swing.

As Macon advanced, he could feel something. The Dragon graveyard would for an entire night, be once more filled with the sounds of battle. The sound of blade crashing upon blade, and fist upon flesh, as both earth and calamitous thunder crashed about them.

"No matter what the outcome of this battle, nothing changes between us. Understood?"

With an satified look in his face, Aiden replied to Macon's words.

"Fine!! This will be one hell of a battle!!"

Aiden fought Macon for countless hours. The once silent graveyard was filled with the sounds of swords crashing. The swords of both warriors clashed again and again filling the air with the sound of a monstrous battle. In the heat of battle, Aiden was able to see an opening in Macon's defenses. Aiden then pushed back Macon's sword and then he tried to slash through his oponent but Macon was able to block him. The skies were filled with thunders crashing at the sides of the battlefield.

"This battle will be endless you know that!"

After that, Aiden jumped high into the air and then he came down trying to obliterate his oponent's defenses with a powerful crushing blow.

OOC: You can dodge or block the attack, that's your choice serge68.

Theme song of the battle between Aiden and Macon is: "One Winged Angel" AC.

((alrighty then, and thank you kindly))

Being aerial against a user of Estillo de Reino is the worst things to do in close range combat. Still, what a fight!

As soon as Macon saw Aiden jump high into the air, he started to heat his blade. The runes of hiw sword were beginning to glow because it. He gritted, his teeth as he slid into as sturdy a stance as possible. When Aiden's blade crashed upon his, they made a crater, at least thirty feet in diameter. Smoke, and dust, and dirt, and bone, were strewn about the revived battlefield.

Aiden made one mistake however: he got into close combat with Macon.

"Even if the if this is an endless battle, let it be a good one!"

Said Macon as soon a it was safe to open his mouth. Aiden was still in the air technically, whih left his open for a headbutt and a power push kick, aimed at his rib cage.

With any luck, he would force him to transform.

As soon as Aiden's sword crashed with Macon's, they both got in close combat. Both warriors fought with all their strenght, their swords clashing again and again with gleams of light flashing with each hit that lands between both blades crashing. Both swords crashed once again and then, when the hit landed, both blades where hurled high into the air, leaving our warriors unarmed. Both warriors stepped back and they stared at each other with both swords stuck on the ground. The swords were laying there, silent in the middle of the battlefield, with Aiden and macon at both sides of the swords.

"You know, it's been a long time since I had a battle as good as this one. I think that this is the best battle we could ever have, don't you agree?"
