In Film Class we are doing the Combat Films unit, so we are watching this in conjunction with Letters from Iwo Jima

Flags of our Fathers is about the flag raising at Iwo Jima during World War II, and the propaganda tour that spawned from it. It follows the story of the three surviving flagraisers as they go on the propaganda tour together. both Letters from Iwo Jima and Flags of our Fathers are directed by Clint Eastwood, and are companion films. Letters from Iwo Jima is shot in Japanese, and shows the Japanese side of the battle.

There are not that many movies out there that actually scare me, but I was a little freaked out by this one. I was going to watch another scary movie after this but I was too scared I had to put something more happy on so I didn't get nightmares tonight. The movie is about how everyone in a town dies or disappears and the only explanation is what is knows as The Ancient Enemy which they explained is the explanation of how a whole Mayan Civilization perished over night and such.
 
Black Sheep

Loved the blood and guts, but I was hoping that it would be a little scary which I didn't find it at all. Had some creapy moments in them, but still not enough to scary me. Something about killer sheep that just isn't scary.
 
Home of the Brave

5/10 Apparently the trailers to this film deceive greatly. On them the movie was shown with a ton of action, but the only real action in the actual film came during the first 15 minutes and then petered out during the course. Turns out it wasn't about the fighting and all that but more about the post-traumatic thing that happens when the soldiers were sent back home.

Comments: It was good , lots of blood and killin' and all that Resident Evil is known for.
Score: 4 or 5 star. 5 if Ashanti didn't die (Freakin Crows!!? C'mon!!)

The Last Samurai.

I'd give it 8/10, it's got a real good story and some of the action sequences are mint.
 
Ultimate Avengers- 4/5, For the first out to dvd super hero movie in a while, it was quite enjoyable. The story was decent, the animation was very good, the characters were portrayed well, and the fights were pretty good. Any comic fan should watch this.
 
Rush Hour III - not as good as the previous two, but still fun as hell :D

6/ 10 - compared to other comedies
 
Harry Potter & The Order of the Phoenix: 8/10

It was good, although the battle wasnt as long and Sirius's death was pants!

Thought it was an excellent sequel, you dont get very many good sequels these days. Action scenes were brilliant, and definately a good few jumpy bits :) reccomend to anyone.

My girlfriend kept going on and on at me to watch this, she kept slating me because i had never seen or heard of this, and the little love scene with Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore at the start. So i watched it with her, loved every second of it! Always kept you on the edge of your seat, also a great love story.

Stardust

Went to see this at the Cinema, me and my girlfriend were taking her little brother. I wouldnt have went to see it otherwise. But i'm certainly glad i did, one of the best fantasy films i've seen. The ghost brothers were simply hilarious :D!

Resident Evil: Extinction
9/10
Second best in the trilogy, doesent compare to the first one, but still a brillient film. The action was brilliant, the las vegas scene blows your mind ;). Alice is just awesome :).
 
Ultimates 2, 8/10

Though basically the same, the story, IMO, was a bit better than the first.
 
Spiderman 3

I didn't like the first one, the second one was alright, but the third one I enjoyed a little more than the second one. I wasn't really into spiderman to begin with, and I didn't care for it, but as a movie the third one was really good.
 
Disturbia - 8/ 10 , an awesome watch, people should see it.

Surf's up - 6/ 10, not the best animated comedy, but still lots of fun :D
 
The Hills have Eyes 2

4/10 - It was no where near as good as the first one, It was ok but I spent half my time getting distraced because it just didn't grip me at all. At one point I wandered off to do abit of housework =/
The first one was well scary. This one was just.....meh
 
"The Mist"

I wanted to read the book before I saw the movie but that didn't happen. I was surprised at this movie. It kept me wanting to know what was going to happen all the way to the end. And This movie had one of the greatest endings I've ever seen, I was not expecting it at all.
 
last film i watched was Electra, never seen it before, it seemed ok but i lost interest part way through
 
Last film I watched was Little Nicky, one of my favs. I watched it with argetlam, who was watching it for the first time. I really like Little Nicky its really funny!
