League of Roleplayers

I am also quite interested in joining this league. I remember there was a thread in which maps were suggested for the RPG...there are a handful there that could be of some use. If only I could just find that thread... :sad3:

OK, so now that I know who is willing to contribute...

Oliver, make me banners and a map (When I come up with the requirements that is)

Tipsy, if you could make out the type of technologies there would be (looking for more steam-punk) and maybe Kevin can help you

Diar, if you can think of anything to go into key parts of the story, that would be a big help

as for me, I'mma eat the icecream before it melts...

on a serious note, I will provide most of the story and all that

Anyone else is encouraged to contribute to the storyline.

Well, I'll see what I can do as far as the story goes. I'm not that creative though, so it might not be good. I might bounce my ideas off Diar and see what he thinks.

Steam Punk..... hmm.... thats gonna be tough. Im guessing its gonna be kinda like FF12, where there is flying ships, guns, sword and magic. In that case, i can get a few ideas.

Yeah that's basically what I was getting at. There also would be things such as in Ringo's working RP as well. I already have my character in mind...

So here is what I have so far...

The kingdom was under a peaceful rule, not perfect, there was still a large gap in social classes, but the rule worked. Among the former kings jurisdiction, there was still crime, but it was slowly being handled. Justice was slow, but it worked. There, people did their jobs and made their wages, no major conflicts.

But one knight, low in rank, formed a group of people willing to overthrow the king. This group has yet to be named tbh, but hey, it's still in work. The knight that formed the group managed to rise himself in rank while his underlings and fellow rebels secretly prepared for a battle. Since the leader had earned his way to the upper class knights, he now was easily able to study the castle. He learned it's weak points and strong points. Using this knowledge he was capable of sneaking his forces into the castle. However, things did not go completely as planned. The knight fell in battle. In the mess, the killer was unknown. By the end, the rebellious forces had slain every knight and executed the king.

It was decided that he who slain the king would become the new ruler, and the rebel force would become the army. However, the number of people within that rebel force has fallen greatly. Thus he who had slain the king chose to distribute power into parts for every member left. There were only 7 members left at the time. They now rule over the country with tyranny and fear.

However, over time, these Tyrants had begun to change. One might want everyone to obey him, while his ally beside him may want to bring order back to the world he had destroyed so many years ago.

Underneath these rulers is a group of people that choose to end this tyranny of fear, but they are unaware that the group is about to fall apart on its own. They have been training for years...ever since the fall of their previous king. They all have unique ideals, but they all have a common enemy, and so they have willingly have come together.

The person who had slain the king will be my character. He has slowly gained a sense of justice over the years, and now he seeks a fair world. His brother, which will also be controlled by me, is the opposite. His brother wants to rule over everything mercilessly to no end. He wants to see people bow before him out of pure fear.

Will the rebel force prevail? Or will the tyrants fall apart beforehand? How just will the next ruler be?

As for the characters that for now are dubbed "The Tyrants" will have divided power. I was unsure if to divide by sect or by specialization (executor, judge, scientist, etc.) or have both work together.

Still needs a lot of work, but it is now more fleshed out than before, and I was hoping to get ideas.

Sounds like it could be a really exciting role play when the action comes to our doorsteps. I can't wait! What else is there to work on before this role play comes out in full force? Just to let you know, I am available to help out at any part of the role play planning. Just say the word.

On a side note, has anyone here played Persona 3 Portable? Damn, I played the female protagonist storyline, and now, I'm just raring to start up a Persona role play. Opinions?

No, I have not played it. I might be interested if I knew more of the story/plot of the game. :hmmm:

I don't think there would be enough people who have played Persona, to be honest. It would require careful planning and quite a few people.

i really do want to play Persona 3.

playing Project Diva two and my stick isnt big enough to fit both, so haveta wait., i can read up on it though...

as for the rp.... development on weapons is a bit...slow. I need a bit more info. Ballistics or beam/energy weaponry or maybe a mix of both with the odd crossbow in there?

Some things here and there that seem a bit...overpowered shall we say? And then include some things such as crossbows, odd swords, etc. here and there. I'm absolutely no good at developing weaponry for anything...Remember, you can ask Kevin for help.

And no I never played an persona games.

Hm... ill make it clockwork style.

So no machine guns or rapid fire guns that are overly too powerful. Kinda like fable 2 type of stuff, but better.

If it's okay with you guys, I think I'll join this little League of yours. :griin: Now, where is the booze and free food?

Also, I think the concept of a Persona RP would be epic. In fact, I already know what my Persona would be. :hmmm:

I'll be posting more often once/if I'm accepted.

You better stock up on the booze. :ahmed:

Yes, like Fable 2 but better...

Also, Ringo, do you want to contribute to the league RP? :ahmed: I'm stuck on story development tbh...

I wouldn't mind helping at all. Shoot me a PM with your ideas, and what you have written down for a story so far, and I'll be more than happy to help out. :griin:

Or you can just read back :hmph:

I'll quote it instead, every post I have made concerning it...

We should start on a league wide RP. The last one I know about this league starting was "A Kingdom Darkly" and it crashed and burned miserably.

I know that I would be able to contribute. Hell, I could even be the main villain.

Recently I have been thinking of an RP that would involve all sorts of weaponry, which Kevin would be contributing to knowing his ways. This would vary from knives and spears to guns and various vehicles.

My idea was to have a league of people known for their evil and dark ways that have successfully taken over some kingdom that we can think up later, but within the league, some of the (wo)men are not as bad as others, and within the league comes conflict. Some of the members turning good, and others even worse. This way the people that wish to play as villains can easily play as a good villain.

The idea is that one of the members might go crazy and want to kill them all, another might have an unquenchable lust for power, one could be satisfied with what they have, another could be realizing the wrongs of his or her deeds.

but also despite them being the majority of the story, there would also be a rebel group that thinks of the tyrant league as a whole, meaning they would be viewed as bad people. This rebel group would be where the characters that always have been good belong. This ensures a place for everyone.

Technology in this world would be very unique, much like the various technologies of different final fantasies that we have seen (airships etc), but that would not be my place to come up with.

There could also be room for men who have no loyalty to the tyrants or the rebels, but are just people that want to make their living that could somehow get wrapped into the story.

Now, within all groups of characters, there could be specializations...like, Executioner, general, strategist, tactician, board of _________, and things like that

That's the idea I have to contribute to a league wide RP, but I'm still working on it

Anyone else want to contribute?

That's all We have so far.

This reminds me of the Drow race from The Forgotten Realms series. I really like that.

Would I be correct in assuming that these would be the classes of the RP? :hmmm:

Oliver, make me banners and a map (When I come up with the requirements that is)

I have a scanner actually. If you don't mind, may I draw the map? I rather enjoy cartography.

Tipsy, if you could make out the type of technologies there would be (looking for more steam-punk) and maybe Kevin can help you

FUCK YEAR, STEAMPUNK! I can help on that front, I love Steampunk. :ryan:

Yeah that's basically what I was getting at. There also would be things such as in Ringo's working RP as well. I already have my character in mind...

I have a character all set up and ready to go... In my head. :hmmm:

The kingdom was under a peaceful rule, not perfect, there was still a large gap in social classes, but the rule worked. Among the former kings jurisdiction, there was still crime, but it was slowly being handled. Justice was slow, but it worked. There, people did their jobs and made their wages, no major conflicts.

This Kingdom was called, "The United States of America." (Sorry, couldn't resist. :wacky:)

All in all, it somewhat sounds like Star Wars. No offense, of course, I fucking love Star Wars. :yay:

I'll be gone for the next few days, so I won't be able to post too much until later. However, rest assured, I'll be thinking up ideas and what not.

Ok then feel free to help tipsy with the technology aspect. If you want to draw a map, do it ASAP and imporvise, it might be the boost I need to get to work on more story.

Also, I never saw Star wars :mokken:

And as for those being the classes of the RP, I'm not even sure if I'll incorporate said idea :hmmm:

Also, I never saw the Forgotten Realms either >_>

Ok then feel free to help tipsy with the technology aspect. If you want to draw a map, do it ASAP and imporvise, it might be the boost I need to get to work on more story.

In order for me to get started on said map, I need the layout of the land. What type of geography does this world have? Islands, archipelagos, continental (multiple continents), Pangaea? Also, the names of some nations/cities would be nice.

Also, I never saw Star wars :mokken:

GTFO.

Seriously, just GTFO. :hmph:

I'm piss poor at making names :sad3:
I'm as bad at names as FireFrenzy is at RPing
But at least I admit it. It would be just one nation, so it would basically be a hunk of land with borders that do not involve this nation. How about you sprinkle some town locations about add I'll add text as to the names of the town? And The nation would be rather large, so it would include one mountain range, a forest or four, And I suppose you could place it to have an oceanic border.

For some real interesting possible events you could add a town just outside the border. There should be a market/trade town, a town for poor people, a town for the wealthy (Which is also where the rulers will live, so it must also be a kind of fortress) A town based on the rebel faction, etc. If you feel you can name them, then by all means please do so. And if you do make it on a shore, give it a port town.

Ringo, since you seem to be rather knowledgeable about steam punk stuff, PM me some ideas and lets see if we can get the armoury up and running.

I was thinking as does Squee something along the lines of Fable 2 style, but a bit more advanced. Guns are around, but so are bows and stuff like that. I have a few rough ideas, but another mind would help.
