League of Roleplayers

its dead because everyone seemed to be tied up with irl stuff. its alright since it slows down the fast pace we were going at before.

Yeah. Tipsynaruto got the reason there. Most of the members at this juncture are busy with their respective real life issues. Not that this place has got to go all fired up anyway. :\ As nice as it may be, hee :D

@Ezio Auditore

Certainly, I would gladly accept your request to join!

I hope you can promise to be able to participate actively in future role plays, and that you did not join this guild just for the namesake.

That said, I expect you will now understand the consequence of now being a Guild. (Muahahahahahahahaha)

.. That is, to have as much as fun through role playing, and providing a great experience to others as well as yourself.

... Shouldn't be hard to follow, no? :) I see you're also in 'The Condemned'. Happy role playing, together, eh? ;D

Oooh hoo.. I went to edit the Member List so now all the members are linked to their respective profile pages. Ho ho ho.

with so many rp slowing almost to a halt (Squee and Oli were the main guys in em, but there is no helping it), i joined too. i hope this doesnt die. i need it to fill tiem

My RP creations don't go well. The Nine Worlds was my most successful venture. Hopefully The Condemned will breathe life back into the RP Section.

i loved the Nine Worlds one. i liked my characters in it

But i do say, the bigger and more people in it, the faster it seems to drop.

a smaller party one can sorta survive, albeit being rather stretched.

like Kevin's KH rp. We managed to finish the first arc pretty nicely with just three rpers.

I think thats because a person goes awol, then the others wait, and then it becomes forgotten.

Yeah. The Nine Worlds relied heavily on everyone maintaining a steady activity level. That was its downfall. *Shrug* I'll remake it eventually. But I'm happy to participate for now and create later.

With some characters there were ways to get around lack of activity in Nine Worlds. My character, for example, was able to morph into someone else while I was away for a few days so that someone else could play my character pretending to be someone else… Those posts never happened. :wacky:

It was the same with a lot of the other characters. Since most people were either going solo or in a large group it didn't really matter if one or two people weren't posting. It’s not ideal but it could be worked around if people had really wanted it to.

Why I think Nine Worlds died is because other RPs popped up, and once a new RP pops up then all of the RPs with massive activity suffer as it tends to be these same RPers that all move on to the new RP project for a while.

True. But I was hoping it would see itself through to the end. :gonk: I had plots in mind. COMPLEX, INTERCONNECTING PLOTS OF AWESOMENESS! :rage: (In my totally unbloated and humble opinion.)

Well weren't you already making other Rps Diar? What do you mean Tipsy about me and Squee being "main"? :ness: *confused*

I dunno Small roleplays with active members in them tend to go alot better than giant ones. EA was just terrible. I figured everyone would just post when they wanted and blah but in the end everyone kept saying they were waiting on the other person who was waiting on such and such and so on....Bleh

I wanted to see it go through to the end too. In fact I really hope that one day it shall. Although I wasn't the most active RPer in it I did put a lot of time into my two characters. :sad2:

I just think that it is hard to juggle multiple active RPs on this forum with the small amount of RPers we have.

With a new RP idea every month, people find it hard to keep their imaginations and focus spread out across multiple stories, and inevitably when a new RP is born an active one will die.

Nah. You did great in the Nine Worlds. And maybe when the RP section hits another slump, I'll recreate it. Even if it failed, I drew another person into our cul... I MEAN GROUP.

I'm glad I got into RPing.

Hey, I've got an idea for the future. It'll suck, but it could also be really quite funny...

What if we could make an RP sometime where all of the unfinished storylines are reopened, and all characters who never got to see their endings break the fourth wall and are all sucked from their own dimensions and warped into our crazy minds to finish off what we started. They're fighting to be remembered in the minds of their creators (us) but to do this they need to seek the Sword of Commitment and the Magic of Inspiration, and then fight our brains! :monster:

It would certainly be interesting. :lew:

I'm TRYING to stick to no more than two RPs at a time. Three at a push. I burnt out a few months back because I overdid it on the old RP.

Yeah, I think you have to know your limits.

I personally can't participate in more than one RP at a time if it is an active one. Not if I want to do other things as well as RPing when I'm on FFF or the computer in general.

Right now I'll be joining the Ape Escape RP soon. If something really interesting pops up then I may split myself into two and do more than one, but it takes a lot of power to do that to myself.

Damn... I really want to do that idea I had now. My mind is spinning ideas in my head now. FML. :sad2:

Is it too late to put my two cents in.

Personally, I think that we all have ideas to revive the RP section. To establish a Renaissance per se. Personally I think we can agree that smaller groups can get RP's finished quickly. For example my first arc of my KH RP (where it was only three people) and my ongoing second arc (which at it's height had about 7 or 8) but the incredible slowdown and what not meat there was little advancement. Right now the RP has 5 members including myself, (the 5th member only having limited involvement for the time being) so while it won't be easy, it's a little more manageable.

I also plan on reviving long-dead RP's as well, and I'm faithfully awaiting the return of the Nine Worlds. That is all.

You know, I've been RPing here for the past..... 3, almost 4 years. And I never once thought of joining up here. Am I still allowed to try?

Also, I would love to help revive the RP section!...So long as it doesn't require me to make an RP, just to participate. Currently I'm in at least 5 RPs, two of which I only have small involvement, another 2 need to start, and the final one... ODST, I await Kev to post. Surprisingly enough, I'm not stretched super thin by how many I'm in (especially when you count other sites, which brings the total up to 7, possibly more depending on time.) However, it's still difficult to do more then one super active RP at a time.

My input is now inputted....

Sure you are. I don't remember any rule having stated anything about a duration in during which we accept new members... From what I understand, our doors are always open :D Welcome to the team...! Abide by the rules, and I'm happy, we're happy, everyone's happy.

I'm okay with the state of the role playing sector here at this juncture. Active enough to keep some role plays going. That, and sustainable enough, at least for the time being. I could use a really fast paced one though.

I am usually on like at the times most people up here are asleep. :\ Which is kind of disappointing. To come on and see the forums relatively inactive. But oh well.

tis a fate people have when people live halfway across the world (though I kinda wish I could head down to Asia and Oceania)

wat i meant oli, is that most of the rp i was in, you and squee were pretty important in a sense that you guess werent the ones that were just slinking around in the back ground. You actually did something.
