In the words of Kefka...

YOU BATTLE OBSESSED NIMROD :rage:

That reminds me, I still need to get through round 2 of the tourney :hmph:

yeah, it's just, you, me, Oliver and Damon. Shadow prefers to not post much here, only when we're actually in a battle...

Lol. I deserve that.

It's because my characters aren't that social. And since most of my abilities that can actually coordinate with them won't apply till chappy 3, I'm going to help you guys, fight Luna (with Shadow), and occasionally beat the hell out of Raven.

:britt:

Just need 3 more of the canon taken in my RP and then I can start it :hmmm:

Ellis, Borgnine and Dyshana :mokken:

I said I wanted Ellis Damon! :rage:

Sorry I haven't been RPing much. I mean I'm trying to get crap done in college and have a social life while dealing with relationships and the Crystalius game >.< Its all a bit much but I'll be getting in my posts every now and then. I've been schedueling in RP time throughout the day so hopefully I can come up with ome great posts by then. Sorry for being so slow lately though. I'm still trying to make an efforet to participate in all the RP's I've joined.

I KNEW someone said they wanted Ellis, I forgot who :rage: i'll change that now then

And don't force yourself too much Ollie, RL takes precedence so don't do more than you can when it comes to online :gasp:

Hm, I'd take more characters later, I guess, when I come to know more about the stories behind the canon characters... Otherwise just come up with a completely new character.

Well if things go as planned, only Vira Lorr will be needed for the immediate future, Zerva doesn't appear till a small part after that :hmmm: so there's plenty of time.

Hm, I would probably join in if the story looks interesting enough. Maybe take Wrath! Or Pride??? Tch, oh well.

I'd be interested in that, Julius. It's been TOO long since we last RPed together. I'd love to be pride.

Wrath... or Greed. So whatever Ringo doesn't get, I will, suppose.

X3 I can imagine a wrathful character in my head. Greed is a bit easier, because, well, look at all of my characters of late...

Hmm I see interest then. Basically I was considering the setting to be in one of these big cities. First I considered New York, but heck Hollywood and many RPs have abused that location so many times. Then I thought of London, but was infatuated with the idea of Paris as well.

As for the story, well the Seven Deadly Sins are portrayed by some as simple forces that drive human desires, others refer to them as individual beings brought the day humans were first cast out of Eden, and a few others consider the Sins as demons or evil entities possessing different hosts, tempting people and dragging souls to hell.

As for the general theme, I wanted to keep it dark, with some humor and quite graphic. For example, if Wrath were to take over someone and that someone commits a murder...then the one playing as Wrath will have to write more than "and I stabbed his heart with my knife".

Let's say some people, could be teens, could be college students, professionals, adults, well doesn't matter really, accidently summoning the embodiments of the seven deadly sins into the world.

At first I considered playing with Quija Boards, don't know how it would fit, or one of them making a bargain with an entity that lets out the seven deadly sins from hell.

Or it could start by a robbery. Some thieves enter a museum, find this little pandora-esque box, one of them accidentally drops it, the box opens and the seven deadly sins get out, but that line seems weaker than the Quija Board one.

In summary, we let the seven deadly sins out of hell/prison and we must find any means to send them back while resisting their influence. Some of us could die, or maybe only people close to us. Another thing is since a character or two could be linked to a series of murders placing the cops/feds/agency on our tail which would complicate stuff.

As for skills/powers, well you get the abilities associated with your sin. Generally every sin has some level of telekinesis (able to move stuff with your mind, etc etc etc) but the real trick lies in the sin you are.

Example, if you are Greed, let's say you go into a shop and you see this employee getting yelled by his boss. You approached the employee, whispering to his ear how bad the boss has treated them and how they should get revenge.

Employee is driven mad, takes a pencil from the desk and stabs his boss in the neck repeatedly. Blood is splattered all across the floor and over the employee's face while his eyes show a slight reddish glint.

Basically that kind of stuff.

Of course, you can choose not to give into using your power and fight it off, seek redemption and shove its ass back into the pit.

You will be slowly possessed by your sin so you have as many options as you think to get rid of the sin or send it back. Among them you could consider:

-Suicide (which would only pass the sin to the next poor bastard....of course you as characters won't know that unless you consult some sort of arcane text book or spiritualist and please your character should work towards discovering it)

-Giving into your sin, which basically means you lost, the sin won and your go on a killing spree using whatever sin you have at your disposal to carry out the deed. Of course, the others might attempt and even feel compelled to kill you and stop you. (Killing will only pass it on to another poor bastard unless you use any blessed weapon, but those are hard to stumble across)

-Exorcism and all it comes with it. Gives our sin pals a free ticket to Graceland, aka, Hell. Of course, it could fail. Depends on how much your character has investigated the subject.

-You can lock the vessel and the sin inside some cage while you work in a way to get rid of the entity/sin. Be careful, they could break out and you could get killed.

On another note, the more you kill, the less likely you'll be able to resist their influence. The weather sucks, and the closer the sins are to each other the crappier it will get.

Your sin/power is both your greatest strength and greatest weakness.

How does it sounds?

it sounds very good, but then, sloth seems to be a bit weak in this sense. Not much drama going on besides convincing a school kid to ditch school to sleep in.

Ha ha. :D I don't know about anyone else, but I'd actually pay to read that if done in an interesting way.

There are plenty of things that can be done with a character possessed by / haunted by Sloth which can be quite entertaining, and a good contrast to the other Sins.

Issues with thread - so will split into two posts.

The Sins idea is an interesting concept, and I am interested, but the RP section at the moment is like a crowded bazaar. I can't focus and I don't know which RP to get into, and I can't possibly get into them all.

Ape Escape looks as if it'll never pick up again (at least not for a while). I'm probably going to help Damon out with his Agarest RP, though I can't promise I'd play a super-active character. As such, I'd like to ask if I could play a minor role in that, and be a character I create rather than a role from the games (I don't think I'd manage playing a character already created, as I don't know their personalities having never played the game).

SLoth could make a firefighter too lazy to put out a fire? :hmmm:

Or a doctor to lazy to save someone :hmmm:

Etc etc etc

Or Sloth could place a very lazy person in some kind of death trap in which you must work your ass if you want to escape. Kinda like Saw (film).

Actually Sloth can be a dangerous one since it represents apathy, neglecting the commandments of God, and being physically and emotionally inactive. Also through inactivity the body is more tempted to sin, making the hosts more susceptible to fall into their darkest desires.

The Demon of Sloth, through its control over emotions could make a person completely apathetic. Let's say a killer stops his murders because he is cracked by guilt then Sloth arrives and says that there was nothing wrong and he has no need to feel guilt.

Sloth is not being lazy, it is the fact of being indifferent, careless, perhaps even cold and without a conscience. If most inhuman acts are restrained by moral conscience, what would happen if that simply disappears?

Then all hell breaks loose and we would want to start killing people for the shits and giggles...

If I join, I'd be Pride.
