[Free for All Saturday]

It's been a while since I posted in this beloved club of mine. Know that I haven't abandoned it. So for my free-for-all post I decided to share a little gem of mine: Biffy Clyro. These guys came straight out of Scotland and man they kind of remind me of a brighter fusion of Nirvana mixed in with a generous helping of the Foo Fighters (whom my bf and I both adore) and as such I've come to secretly love these guys to pieces. This is a beautiful ballad and a strong one that balances out the heaviness of the first portion of their most recent album. So is Sneaker downloading this to her iTunes collection? Yes, definitely.

Enjoy my fellow rock fans. :)

Def Lappard - Pour some Sugar on Me

I couldn't resist, I actually like this song though in all honesty have never given the band themselves an actual listen, I guess they are to glam for me. Maybe I'll give em a try anyhow.

AC/DC - You Shook me All Night Long

I like this song too, but I never gave the lyrics a really close listen; and my mom tells me I can't listen to GaGa when she listens to these guys :jtc:

going off of what Kobra said, I couldn't resist by picking this song. It came out before 1994, and it's rock. so, why not pick Losing My Religion by R.E.M. I don't like many songs by them, but this is one of the few songs I do like. :ryan:

(Lyrics)
Oh, life is bigger
It's bigger than you
And you are not me
The lengths that I will go to
The distance in your eyes
Oh no, I've said too much
I set it up

(chorus)
That's me in the corner
That's me in the spotlight, I'm
Losing my religion
Trying to keep up with you
And I don't know if I can do it
Oh no, I've said too much
I haven't said enough
I thought that I heard you laughing
I thought that I heard you sing
I think I thought I saw you try

Every whisper
Of every waking hour I'm
Choosing my confessions
Trying to keep an eye on you
Like a hurt lost and blinded fool, fool
Oh no, I've said too much
I set it up
Consider this
Consider this
The hint of the century
Consider this
The slip that brought me
To my knees failed
What if all these fantasies
Come flailing around
Now I've said too much
I thought that I heard you laughing
I thought that I heard you sing
I think I thought I saw you try

But that was just a dream
That was just a dream

(repeat chorus)

But that was just a dream
Try, cry, why try?
That was just a dream
Just a dream, just a dream
Dream

@Sexy Beast, I love that song and Band. REM is always nice, you actually reminded me to buy their stuff off Zune, I almost forgot too. Well, anyway its Monday, so that means time to post some Metal; and I don't know too much Metal bands so I'll post Avenged Sevenfold's Buried Alive, the songs good.

So, since it's still tuesday, I'm going to do the One Band; Two songs thing. I chose Scary Kids Scaring Kids because I just love them, and so wish they get back together as a band

Personally, I love these songs out of all their songs. :ryan:

I am going to post My Chemical Romance, I love this band; I love their new style but I really miss the Demolition Lovers, Three Cheers, an Black Parade days, Oh well artists have t progress sometime, and I guess thats what theirs called for :(

The song I'll play is off their new Album its one of their more Alternativey songs, in my honest opinion.

Na Na Na(Na na na na na) by MCR

To make this more alternative; I will also post Fall Out Boys best song, I mean besides Pete back there ruining Patricks groove, its an amazing song and FOB should have taken time to do more like it. They should get back together already :olivia:

Get Busy Living or Get Busy Dying by Fall Out Boy

Okay, so technically this song wouldn't be under the regulations of Classic Sunday as this album came out in 1996, but the band Iced Earth has been around since early 90s, so it should still count. Anywhoo, this is a great song that's off of their album Dark Saga. It entails the story of the comic book character "Spawn". And this song really shows off Matthew Barlow's vocals. :ryan:

Ugh! I haven't posted in forever here, I think its Monday too lazy to check so I am going to post some Metal for Monday :wacky: I pick my only Metal band; and that's Avenged Sevenfold, I am certain they are Metal anyway xD

It's free-for-all Saturday, so here it is. :reptar:

No one knows what it's like
To be the bad man
To be the sad man
Behind blue eyes
And no one knows
What it's like to be hated
To be faded to telling only lies

But my dreams they aren't as empty
As my conscious seems to be
I have hours, only lonely
My love is vengeance
That's never free

No one knows what it's like
To feel these feelings
Like I do, and I blame you!
No one bites back as hard
On their anger
None of my pain woe
Can show through

But my dreams they aren't as empty
As my conscious seems to be
I have hours, only lonely
My love is vengeance
That's never free

Discover l.i.m.p. say it (x4)
No one knows what its like
To be mistreated, to be defeated
Behind blue eyes
No one knows how to say
That they're sorry and don't worry
I'm not telling lies

But my dreams they aren't as empty
As my conscious seems to be
I have hours, only lonely
My love is vengeance
That's never free

No one knows what it's like
To be the bad man,
To be the sad man
Behind blue eyes

Classic Rock Sunday! I don't listen to a lot of Classic, songs in my opinion at least not enough., anyhow. But I do like relly good ones when I do like 'em, so I pick one of me and my sisters favorite Classic Bands :3 Led Zeppelin! *typical pick is typical*

Led Zeppelin's Achilles Last Stand

The 80s imo was a great decade for rock music. You had the rise and mainstreaming of metal music and then you had the Hair metal bands, which could be classified as the first wave of "Scene" imo.

Anywhoo, my choice for today is Great White. Love them, and well yeah.

I hate this day, I don't know nearly enough Metal Bands for Monday :gonk: I would have to post the one band I do actually know that is classed as metal for this day; and that's Metllica xD Sad I have to admit but for now its the only one that comes to mind xD

Bu~t my Ma loves this band to death so I chose them for today;

Hello. A rock appreciation club? Count me in.

Well I love Machine Head, and a friend told me to listen to this song, and I just love it. Such a great song. Starts off with a simple, soft guitar, then as it progresses pass the first minute, the heaviness of it kicks in. :jay:

Enjoy! :dave:

Free-for-all Saturday

I chose this song that Coheed and Cambria did for Batman Arkham City. I found it pretty sick. :D

Ooh never heard this before, I quite like it.
Anyway,
Sign me up please? :3

You are a Coheed fan, Kittily? :jess:

I haven't heard loads and loads of their songs, however I love the ones I have heard and am intending on buying one of their albums soon. Any recommendations on which to start on? :)

I would probably start with either In keeping Secrets or Year of the Black Rainbow. They are my top albums.
