Let's Play Legend Of Dragoon!

Episode 53 - Zackwell Slits His Throat

https://youtu.be/DxJVOXQhjOo

Hey folks, we're wrapping up Mayfil this time around! We actually reach the point of no return; ignore what I say in the vid: you can't actually return after you enter the light.

Anyways, while one of our obstacles here is one of my favourite bits of the game (that light floor is tense!), we have a slightly bigger issue with a demon called Zackwell. This boss likes to use some pretty gorey animations for his attacks; one in particular is incredible :D.

Oh yeah! We also meet the spirit of Lavitz and our three main guys all get to have a bro moment! It's such a sad scene :(.

Thanks for watching, my fellow winglies! See you around to see what's at the other end of the ray of light :).

Episode 54 - The Iifa Tree

https://youtu.be/XL0HAdeSjo4

Hey there folks! This time around we head on through the light (the point of no return) and end up on the Iifa Tree! Or is it the Divine Tree? I think that's more like it ;). I love the cinematic with the divine tree and the moon joining. It's pretty disgusting seeing the enemies come out of the moon pores though :x.

There's not much else to say other than thanks for watching! I'll see you next time when we take care of the boss of the Divine Tree and make a wee bit more progress :lew:.

Episode 55 - To The Moon

https://youtu.be/mcX9AkcsetI

Hey there folks! We've got the boss of the Divine Tree to beat now, which is that lovely little caterpillar that was following us around the tree. Thing is, he's not that cute when the parasites come out and he starts evolving...

Other than that boss, we make it to the moon! This place is stunning and just as bizarre as when you go on the moon on Majora's Mask. Such strange things going on :/. We actually take on another boss: Death Rose. This is really simple and is Miranda vs Death Rose. Don't worry if you don't use her though. It's mainly plot.

Thanks for watching folks! We'll be checking out the pub in Bale next time and beating a few more of those solo bosses. In a bit! :)

Episode 56 - Fighting On My Own

https://youtu.be/NNSmZYuW4Q8

Hey there folks, we're back on the moon! This time around, we take on Haschel's solo boss (Claire), Kongol's solo boss (his brother Indora) and Rose & Dart's "solo" boss (Michael the dragon). They're all pretty simple and a bit scripted, especially Rose and Dart's. Just make sure to use the psyche bomb x and you'll be a good way into their health. Don't worry if you haven't used the characters...it really doesn't matter much.

Thanks for watching! With the party all back together, we'll take on the rest of the solo bosses next time and maybe make a bit more progress afterwards :).

Episode 57 - Elephants On The Moon

https://youtu.be/2sRX5pym1qU

Hey peoples! We're on the moon again! We will be for the rest of the playable game actually lol. We're actually taking on the last two solo bosses: Dark Doel for Albert and Archangel for Meru. While seeing what's under Doel's cloak is ever so exciting (no, there are no wieners in this game, you filthy git), the Archangel has a much more interesting attack! Just...look out for what's making those trumpeting noises up here on the moon. It's a little bit of a weird animation lmao!

Now that we're actually making a bit more visible progress, we also take on the last virage boss of the game: Super Virage! This guy has the usual head, body, arms setup but this time he has a certain counter attack that can really screw you over. At least that's what I thought but it's not that bad really lol.

Thanks for watching people! We're coming up to the end of the game now with only 3 episodes left! See you next time to see what the game has left for us ;).

Just want to say great job on the series thus far Greens, seems like ya enjoyed it overall besides the Faust bit which was a pain xD. Also thanks for doing this with my constant naging saying you should do it, shame really cause I would still love to do this one day myself if I ever get recording equipment for my ps3/ps4.

Danke LJs :ryan:. Yeah, it's been good fun, even with a few things prolonging it more than I really wanted. Fraust...is a right shite. Worth it for the money and phantom shield but I'm not completely sure I'd fight him again when I play through next time :s.

Thanks for nagging me to do it :lew:. It turned out to be an LP I'm most proud of. You should LP it when you get the chance. You know a whole lot more about the game than me lol.

Yeah still plan to try and do that but like I said it's the recording equipment that gives me the issue, I have no idea what I need to even record LP's for ps3/ps4. So could you actually give me some ideas please and I might be able to slowly work towards that, cause for the ps3 I have a list of games already. On the ps4 not so much as that library is still pretty small atm.

Sweet, you're at the end. The "cinematics" are simply amazing after beating the final boss(es), as well as heartwrenching. But anyway!

I'm curious to read your commentary about it, if there is any. Thanks for covering my favorite video game to date. ^_^

I can see why so many people like this game so much :). Yeah, the cinematics are pretty great for their time; I feel that better voice acting would have helped a whole lot though.

Episode 58 - I'm Coming For You, Dad!

https://youtu.be/WCDzRuAg3mY

Why, hello there! Here's a pretty short episode (in comparison with a good few of the other episodes in this series). We take on Zieg and see some cinematics etc. The boss is pretty fun though since you're taking on your own father :s.

Thanks for watching! With him gone, we've got the final boss next time! It's known for being a long one so grab the popcorn! See you then! :)

Episode 59 - Generation Frahma

https://youtu.be/aBipwevEU1M

Hey folks, here comes the last boss! Melbu Frahma has 4 phases, each being a little bit unique. I'll leave you to have a gander at what's going on in the fight, but just make sure to sparingly use healing items and healing magic and you should be ok. Just remember: this is a long fight :D.

We'll be carrying on with the fight next episode (not for long though...it's nearly done). Hey, I said it was long! ;)

Thanks for watching! See you next time for the grand finale! :)

This is where the fun starts. I always like long boss fights because they put up a challenge. I'm glad that you reached the final act of the game. This classic game has been one of my favorite because of it's unique battle system. Also I found the story line of this game very interesting.

If you like this battle system, you might like Lost Odyssey and the Mario & Luigi series. Both are turn-based but reactive :monocle:.

I have played only the first Mario game which was for the Super Nintendo. I haven't played Lost Odyssey yet but I saw a few trailers of it and it looks pretty good. After you finish recording the last episode, what will be your next gameplay?

Lost Odyssey really is pretty great imo. Worth a shot if you have access :). The next series will only last maybe 2-3 weeks and is mentioned in the final episode *wink wink nudge nudge* :britt:.

Episode 60 - ~Thanks For Watching!~

https://youtu.be/pAss1IwmOHU

Hey all, welcome to the end! Our last episode takes the form of the end of the Melbu Frahma boss along with all the end cinematics and credits. I also added a mini-review onto the end credits. It's not much, but it gives a summary of my thoughts on the game lol. It's definitely a game I'll be playing again, for sure ;).

I've got to say, I've really enjoyed making this one. There have been people to talk to along the way; lots of hints and tips too. Thank you all for joining in :).

I'll see you around for the next series, which for a change I revealed in the vid. It probably won't come as much of a surprise to anyone who follows this fair channel lol. I'll see you around hopefully! :)

*Waves goodbye for now*

I just finished watching the last episode of this let's play. I got to say that it was a interesting let's play. We appreciate you for sharing this classic game with us. Keep up the good work and hope to see more of your let's play soon.
