Mitsuki's Art

Wow that's awesome!
You're so good with scenery!!!

Fantastic Children

Thanks guys. ^_^ I need to do more art. >.<

Alright, here’s a short clip of my painting.
http://s79.photobucket.com/albums/j127/redbutterfly_16/?action=view&current=a15effe7.flv The tune is mostly what I listened to while painting it, so I thought it’d be appropriate to include it in the clip.

Actually, I saw this painting in an anime called “Fantastic Children”. So what’s the painting about? Basically, it’s a world/planet called Greecia…the symbol for the planet is a picture of a tower in front of two moons. The heroine Tina/Helga frequently draws/paints the picture from memory (as she is reincarnated several times in the anime, but longs for her home, Greecia.)

As soon as I laid eyes on that painting, I instantly fell in love with it, and I just had to paint it. I started it almost two years ago. The first picture you see on the slide is the incomplete version. However, we moved, never completed it, and was forgotten for about a year and a half. I found the painting again in the basement about a week ago and finally finished it.

Here you can see the original painting from the anime. There’s many different versions of it, especially in the actual anime. (Very awesome, vivid use of colors!) I kinda made up my own colors (I know mine doesn’t do the original painting justice) But yeah, same style and concept. Awesome music too! http://youtube.com/watch?v=kS5_Kvc8ZoQ

Wow! I really like your work! Your use of pencil is really amazing. I can't really use the line as an expression of pressure or depth just yet. But I'm sure to learn when I start college next September. I'm really impressed. ^^

Very nice painting Mitsuki. Your Japanese house, snowy, painting is very pretty.

=)

I started this one last night. It's not my best, but I just had the urge to paint. Inspiration? My home, the Philippines. xD I experimented with the colors - basically, I just used red, black, and white. Thought I'd try something different...

(The first two hours)

(And finally...)

I just realized that the camera lighting kinda made it seem like the palm tree on the background is completely white, but it's not lol.)

Aww, i like it - the colors go well together and harmonize with each other ^_^ very pretty :)

And congratulations on getting over 1000 views on your thread ^_^

Aww thanks. I have two more canvas left...I'm having trouble deciding what I should paint next though. =/ Any suggestions? xD I'm on a painting spree!

Wow, the second of those two really catches my eye. Your art was always fairly good but that last one was really amazing. It manages to capture more than the image itself but actual the whole feel of what it would be like to look on something like that.

Finally done.

Yes, I love doing reflections. xD Didn't really quite capture it, but it'll do, I guess. (Not an original painting of mine).

For my next canvas, I plan to use orange and yellow since I ran out of green acrylic paint lol.

Again, I'm really a big fan of the second one in the set but not so much of the first. I'm not sure why I don't like the first one but... just something about it didn't catch my attention, although it's not bad. The second one though really catches your eye. Maybe I'm more into "cool" colors? Either way it has a very unique and almost mystic look to it. I really like it.

I think I can see why the first one isn't quite as catchy as the second.

Things such as the flora and fauna on the water or even the ripples and waves can make the water more appealing since it seems more realistic. Yes, the top one is very good if you're going for still waters, but that also seems a little bland. Details such as weeds sticking out of the water and the sparkle of the sunlight can help determine which is the water and which is the sky. Honestly, it looks like you could flip it upside-down and it wouldn't make much of a difference.

But that's just my two cents.

Wow, I love your work! :) I've been meaning to do some paintings for a while and, while I've had the ideas, I've never managed to get around to it. I've been uninspired, I suppose, despite knowing what I'd like to paint. But your work has inspired me! ^_^

xD I'm the same, actually. It takes me awhile to finally bust out a canvas and my paint tools. Inspiration is really the key for me.

Haha, I think I forgot to mention that the first one is my unfinished painting. I just took a picture of it to differentiate it for the actual finished one.

I finally found some of my artwork back from 5 - 6 years ago. =) The papers are kinda old, so you'll notice that it's a bit crumpled.

This one is from Saga Frontier.

I forgot where this picture's from, but I added the girl there (inspired by Garnet)

This was done when I was a senior in high school.

That's all for now. I'll post the others later.
