It's going to be a fucking miracle if I can sucesfully transfer this to canvas. It was a fucker and a half to sketch, I'm impressed with myself though, because I just went off a blac kand white photo and picked out the shadows. I didn't think I'd be able to do it, I tried yonks back with a picture of Al Pacino and it just turned out bollocks

I've got an update! This is easily one of the most challenging pieces I've done, Mr. Booth is a fiddly fucker

The original image I worked from was this photograph I snaffled off google

And this is what I've ended up with...not completed yet, close inpsection will reveal pencil lines, but I can't do the white til it's all dry, I'm just really proud of myself that I actually seem to have managed to pull it off 8F

It was an absolute CUNT to do

And Im going to be spamming the thread with Matt pics again, first rough sketch before (somehow) transferring it across to a 90x90cm canvas. I DEFO wonthave this one finished anytime soon, Im going to need bucket loads of paint, the canvas is MASSIVE

Anyway, this is the picture I used as reference

This is the rough sketch I did, Im doingmy usual pop art style, and like a nob head Im going to add text too I bought a ruler this time xD

I know it looks scruffy, I just needed to pick out the shadows and shit. If this is a sucess I'l be wel impressed with myself xD

You've done a terrific job with his proportions and at picking out the shadows!

The creases in his outfit are well drawn too!

Are you going to colour this in or leave it black and white?

Black white and red. I'm keeping the jacket red, everything else will be clack and white, the folds in the jacket Im just gunna do a darker red, so really, Im using 4 shades as opposed to my usual 2 8F

HOW Im going to get it on that whopping big canvas though I dont know 8F
