Playstation Official Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Thread

I've had more problems online with RE5 story mode than Uncharted 2's mulitplayer. At first i thought it was my connection but it's not, its the PSN.

I've had the damn thing sign me out randomly and not let me sign in for quite awhile. It's annoying, i wish sony would fix the problems of the network than add little unnecessary things to the updates.


But regardless i still love this game, i'm on hard mode at the moment. I only need 3 more chapters to finish then i go to crushing mode.
 
I've not had a problem with Uncharted 2 multiplayer :grin: And 7 more chapters 'til I've done Crushing mode, which is pretty much twice I've had to do it now since I was forced to format my PS3 on Chapter 22 Crushing last time :jtc: It's not that difficult mind, far easier than Crushing on Uncharted.
 
What about the tank part and the helicopter parts? Weren't those difficult in one form or another?


I had a hard time doing those parts in hard mode, i'm dreading toaster face when i get to him. Damn bastard is so cheap when he gets in his third phase.
 
The helicopter isn't that bad, when you jump down to the platform below hide behind the table-thing that's tipped over and keep g-launching it. Then wait for those guys on the other side to appear, kill them and jump down. Then all you have to do from there is keep behind cover (which there is a lot of) then keep your finger on the shoot button since you can launch 3/4 grenades very quickly.

As for the tank, I don't think it caused me much of a problem, though it's one of the first things I have to do when I play it so I'll get back to you on that :hmmm:

Ok, thanks for the tips. I'm gonna go try to finish my run now, maybe do some multiplayer when i finish before starting crushing. I'm gonna let out some frustration and get a high kill count xD.

Beat hard yesterday, i started crushing too. Though my gamercard didn't update when i got the hard trophy. When do gamercards update?

Beat Uncharted 2 hard mode finally, now i'm on crushing. It's not as bad as i thought it would be, though i don't like the fact that i HAVE to use cover more than normal. It's crazy how the enemy AI is so accurate, but its good that ally AI is just as good as the enemy's.

Beat it on Crushing and now have my Platinum which I should have had days ago if it wasn't the fact my PS3 needed formatting :jtc: Anyway, it's really not that hard, there's a few tricky bits which are mainly when there are a lot of enemies or you're in really confined spaces. The boss seems relatively unchanged in terms of difficulty, but then again the way I fight him isn't what people would normally do >.>
 
What areas should i be wary of? I started crushing yesterday and i'm having a real hard time getting by. I almost broke my controller already >_<
 
Chapter 6 at the beginning when you're launched into that massive battle in the town centre like place then it seems relatively easy for a while, or up to around Chapter 23/24 where you've got to climb down that tower like thing...then the two battles in Chapter 25 are a bit of a bitch, the one when you're in the ruins bit where you have to deal with the soldiers before those monster things come, though sneak attack the first 2/3 soldiers, grab a desert then try picking them off in one shot behind a pillar right at the back...then, that other big battle in the chapter when you're actually inside the temple, just cover and pick them off til you run out of ammo then go right and go from pillar to pillar picking off the soldiers whilst you're grabbing ammo.

That's all I can remember having trouble with :hmmm:
 
Ok i'll keep those tips in mind, i haven't had trouble up until this point

i'm at.... can't recall what chapter it is but its right after you come out of the mouth after looking at the model of the mountain.

I'm only have one grenade and i'm low on ammo for my AK and i can't get a shot in because i'm getting barraged by bullets from all sides.


Oh also how did you beat toaster face unscathed?

I think it's chapter 10. I'd just hang on to the ledge and don't jump up whils trying to pick off people on the right side since you're most vulnerable to that side once you climb out. You might not be able to get them all since they all seem to hide but once you take out two or three climb out and go directly behind the giant dagger (you can't go into cover mode I don't think) then pick the rest of them off the right side then aim towards the left. Once people stop shooting continue...though be careful because everytime I started walking up the stairs there's always one left.

Since you're low on ammo you may have to pick off who you can then just roll all the way to the side out of sight and chances are someone will come down who you can knock the crap out of. Aim the grenade towards the top right as well.

Also, who's toaster face guy? :wacky:

This is the way I did, it's the easy way out but at the end of the day your main objective is to beat him. I don't know why the guy on there waits a long time when he jumps down, whenever he jumps onto that right platform shoot the blue thing.

If you get shot keep moving round until you've fully recovered before trying to shoot again...and don't reload often D:
 
Ummm I was actually thinking of picking this one up for Christmas. It looks really ood and some of my friends Love it! Is it really worth it for this game cause I have seen Ryan platinum it in a week! xDDDD Well it looks really good though and im not there for the trophies xD
 
Don't know if its true or not but supposedly if you buy the motion comic from the UK PSN, you get more skins for multiplayer. Anyone want to confirm this?

The NA PSN has it as well but not the skins, though i did hear that ND is going to release more multiplayer stuff.
 
I just bough this game sunday and i'm already in the Tibet part, this game is so awesome it's everything i would hope from a game, you have everything in this game, stealth and undercover and urban battle zones like in Metal Gear, action,shooting and climbing like in Tomb Raider and then i think there's also an aspect of Indiana Jones in it somewhere too.

And the supporting characters don't act like idiots and sometimes i find myself following them instead of me taking the lead.

Really this game is the best i think it's just been brilliant so far.

I haven't tried the online mode yet i might try tonight or tomorrow since i'll enter in christmas vacation.

Online is fantastic, especially in co-op mode. Even in competitive mode the main reason I liked it is because you don't feel forced to win, it has a relaxed atmosphere where you can just get on and enjoy it. :D
 
I'll try it today, my game froze but luckily it auto-saves and i could pick it up from the place i was, that was a relieve:)

It's amazing how shotguns and machine guns take so long to kill those guardians but a single bow shot finishes them off.

Yeah. :D They're deliberately weak to their own weapons, and almost invincible to bullets. Resin explosions and grenades work wonders against them too, but their crossbows kill them in one hit if aimed well.

I guess within their own community they are mortal creatures, so the weapons they make kill them, though they are hard to kill by the weapons of man.
 
I beat the freaking thing. :rage:

One thing I have to say: final battle SUCKS. Took me about 5 times total to do it...in a span of 2 days. 8F I got so pissed after losing the 4th time, I quit that night. Went back in last night, beat it in one try. :awesome:

I'm not gonna say much more about it other than I am SO playing it again. As well as co-ops and such. 8F
